Family owned and you can tell they take pride in the food they serve. Our first time and I took my 6 and 16 year old. We ordered the garlic chicken wings, fried buns, beef broccoli, Szechuan hot pot with mixed meet, mixed vegetables, fish balls and squid; also ordered spicy beef cilantro and appetizer platter. Platter, same as any other place and that is where the same stops. Having lived in Asia and traveled plenty to know what authentic is, this was right on the money. My 16 year old who thinks beef and broccoli is a staple order will now only eat it here; total difference from Chinese take out. The hot pot, the best Ive ever had; spice is perfect amount of heat, the seasoning is bright and bold; so glad the lady recommended the fish balls because they were not what I expect and tasted so so good. I ordered too much to eat so I cooked it all in the hot pot and took it home. (Eating it right now at my desk and it is 9:00am; couldnt wait) My 6 year old would not let us eat any of the garlic chicken and allowed me one bite for taste; really good. My son asked if they would turn on the TV and she let us know its only in Chinese and he said that is fine; let him pick out a show and it turned out to be Guinness competition in Chinese and it made the experience even more authentic. :-) We will be back again and again.

Okay, lets get the bad out of the way: the service here is in need of an overhaul. Everyone is very friendly, but service is slow and disorganized. Last couple times my wife and I went, a solid 30 minutes passed without anyone checking on us. We had to actually go up to the front to ask for our check, and take it back up front ourselves. This to me seems like more of a fixable organizational issue than a problem with the servers themselves, who are all very friendly and appear to be doing their best. If you can go accepting that its not going to be a quick bite to eat, the food is well worth the wait. We keep going back because the food is consistently fantastic. We havent had a bad meal yet. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and cooked just right. So with the caveat that it might be better to order take-out and skip the disorganized service, this is still one of my and my wifes favorite places to eat.

We got takeout, but I did sit in the dining room for a bit. I love the comfy cushions on the booths, and its got a cozy feel. THE FOOD IS AMAZING. Its authentic, but with fresh ingredients and a creative chef in the back. I got the spicy pork stew, salt and pepper shrimp, cauliflower with tomato sauce, and leek-egg-pork stirfry. All were delicious, and we ate all the leftovers. The pork stew had peppercorn flavors, with that perfect weird mouth-puckery feeling. The girl taking the order also tried to make sure I knew what I was in for, spice-wise. I would trust their recommendations, they want to make sure youre happy with with what you get! I have been to China. This food is better than most of what I ate in China. Love this place.

Make absolutely sure that you tell them exactly how much sweet and sour sauce you want with your entrée or they will assume that you only want it for an egg roll and give you half of the tinniest cup ever making your food super bland. And when you call them back to ask about getting more, they will blame you for not knowing that you needed to explain to them during the order that you needed enough to use for your whole order and not one tiny part of your order. And then they will still refuse to bring you any, even though you are willing to pay for it. So then you have paid for food that is going to be super bland and definitely not worth the money. Superb establishment.

There are only a few authentic Chinese food in Tulsa. This is definitely authentic Szechuan style food. They offer clean, friendly and speedy service at a decent price. 肥肠面,夫妻肺片, 锅塌豆腐,土豆丝,口水鸡,北京肉馅饼,孜然羊,等等都不错。分量大,出菜蛮快,价钱也不贵。值得吃。

Food quality is exceptionally high here. My chinese friends say its just about as close as you can get to the real thing here in Tulsa. I think shes right based on the other patrons you see there. I would definately give this place a try if you are open to trying new flavors or havent had authentic chinese food in the past. They have a menu that caters more to the english speaker and one that is more for native chinese. The chinese menu seems to have more items on it that many of us rednecks might be afraid to try, but I would definately give it a try. I especially recommend the pickled fish bowl. Amazing!

You will not find better on Chinese cuisine in the city that Mandarin Taste. Ive had the opportunity to eat real, mainland Chinese cuisine and this is absolutely the real thing. I just tried their hot pot the other day, and it was the best that Ive ever had. Chicken broth is cooked for 3 to 4 hours and has a richness you have to taste to believe. The Sichuan peppercorn broth is rich, and so spicy it will bring the sweat out of your forehead.

DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!! Me and my brother ordered from here the other night. Besides it being over priced for the small portions the give you, both of our meals tasted like fish...it was disgusting!!! On top of that we waited an hour to get our food and we were less than a mile away. WE PAID OVER $30 FOR TWO MEALS AND WONTONS BUT I WOULD NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN EVEN IF IT WAS FREE!!!!!

Food is great, but the staff can be hit or miss. I have had a great experience every time Ive gone alone. With a group of only 5, they had mixed up and incorrectly prepared dishes. The meal was fixed and tasted excellent, but these are very avoidable mistakes that can prevent a first-timer from coming back. Hands down the best authentic Chinese in town.

This is one of my favorite Asian restaurants in town and certainly the most authentic. Most of the customers are Chinese and Ive even noticed staff from other Chinese restaurants eating here. I spotted some of the 1-star reviews and I dont think were even talking about the same restaurant. Every friend Ive brought has come back for more.

Excellent food. Just dont go if youre in a hurry. The wait is long, but the flavor and quality was well worth the wait. The staff was nice and our service was friendly, and welcoming. I ordered the fried rice and was quite impressed. There were several other dishes on the menu that looked great so I know I will be back there soon.

This place is great its the real deal. A Mandarin family run Mandarin Chinese restaurant. Family-friendly very nice people. They are happy to accommodate your order to your taste made exactly the way you want it. Thats why I love them. Theyre currently on family summer vacation until August so check them out when they get back.
