I recently became a fan of Chinese & would only get General Tso (or Sweet & Sour Chicken w/out the sauce...silly, I know). Then I didnt see General Tso on the menu here & the waitress said "well our Govenors Chicken is the closest thing to it." As iffy as I was about Chinese food & spending $8.75 for an entire meal (it did include won-ton soup which I never liked at other places and honestly enjoyed here! the broth is not salty, but very smooth). I may not even enjoy - I tried it. And then I found my new favorite food. Not only is it lightly battered (unlike how deep fried and thick battered the Sweet & Sour Chicken is...which for some is great, for me, I dont like that much fried food). And the sauce was just perfect. My boyfriend asked them to make it spicy for him, and we both had a great dinner. To me, it made it well worth the $8.75 & even the tip of having great service (water refreshed every time when needed, very quick service, and a generaly nice staff-unlike most restaurants these days w/ college students serving who just want their tips and dont care about the job). Golden Mountain is now my new favorite Chinese for more then just the good food! Kudos!

I have been coming to Golden Mountain for years. This has to be some of the best Chinese food in NE Ohio. I have been coming here regularly for 25 years and I have never had a bad meal! Their Won Ton Soup is delicious, filled with plump won tons, pork strips and green onion. Egg rolls are great and not "grassy", fried rice is delicious with little bits of pork and scrambled egg. I could go on and on. I usually order their War Su Gai combination plate, BBQ Rib combination plate, Beef and Broccoli Combination plate, Sweet and Sour Chicken Combination plate. All of them are excellent and very fresh ingredients. I had the Egg Foo Yung once and it was also good. It is not fancy inside, just typical Chinese restaurant decor, but the food and service are excellent. Friendly wait staff and cashiers all the time.

Cheap combo lunches include tea, soup, and an egg roll. $10 after tip for most of the lunch menu. Dont go here if you want some heat. They have a spicy mustard that they put on the table that has great flavor, but is not spicy at all (literally ate a spoonful thinking maybe something was masking it). Ordering extra spicy on 4 different dishes so far has led to no sense of spiciness. The staff is extremely polite, and service is reasonably quick. Ive seen a wide variety in how full the place can be from completely to literally nobody but our table their for lunch.

Ive been frequenting Golden Mountain for the last 7 years. Very good service, and good quality Chinese food. I have never been here for dinner, only lunch. However, for lunch they have specials where you get tea, soup, and your main course for under or around $7. The staff is very friendly and if you frequent them, they remember you and what you usually order. Good eggrolls, fried rice, and usual chinese fair. If youre looking for a very good chinese food place in the area, this one is a nice overall dining experience and good food.

Pretty tasty. Large selection. The service can be very rude if you have the wrong person, but just stand up to them and they will treat you well then and into the future. Other servers are nice and will teach you customary practices if you want. The food is good enough for me to happily revisit.

Best Chinese food Ive ever had. Their Governors Chicken (same as General Tsos chicken) is crispy, delicious, and served with freshly steamed broccoli. Big portions and neat serving dishes. They bring tea, soup and shrimp chips while you wait for your meal. Always a pleasure to dine here.

My kids are 5th generation of my family to eat at Golden Mountain, so you could say weve been eating from there for awhile. Theyre the best, and Ive moved out of state a few times, and never found anything nearly as good as them!
