For starters, their steaks were phenomenal. They also had a great wine list. Thats about as far as I can go with the positives. The first downfall was before even entering the building, right next to the front door was a giant ash bin with cigarette smoke wafting out of it, major turn off going into a fine dining establishment. Host was friendly, but I was surprised to find how small and cramped it was. Both tables and booths were practically on top of each other, my wife had to hold her purse up to avoid hitting people while being ushered to our table. From there, the service was pretty slow. Took a while to get our drink orders taken and a while longer before we actually got them. Salads arrived, we both got Caesar, and inwas surprised to find how small they were and how traditional they were. Simple romaine, parmasean cheese and lightly dressed wih a very traditional dressing, all topped with an olive. For a pricier place like this, I expect a little more creativity wih meals than what I can make at home. Main course arrived, again...steaks... PERFECT, but the side was really disappointing. Had the mushroom and goat cheese ravioli. I couldnt pick up even a fait bit of goat cheese, aside from that, it was pretty clear that it wasnt made to order and had been sitting in a basket strainer for a while. The ravioli was all on top of a very unpleasant ice cream scoop of boiled spinach. Final ding came shortly after we got our meals when the host showed up to check in on us, he had quite obviously just came in from a smoke break. The odor of smoke was string and lingered after he left, again just not pleasant while dining. I dont regret going, but I find it highly unlikely Ill ever go back. This place clearly has a strong following, an older, traditional croud. There are plenty of other great steakhouses in the area that have just as good steaks, but knock the rest of the dining experience out of the ballpark.

Was disappointed. Made a reservation 3 weeks out to celebrate my wifes birthday on a Saturday night. Called the week of just to verify, with a request for a nice table. I have previously dined there where they squeezed a party of 2 along the front seating, where you are tightly seated between larger groups. So the guy tells me, hey, Saturday night is our busiest night- cant guarantee any particular location. I said I know, thats why I made a reservation 3 weeks prior for a special occasion. Did everyone with 8:00 reservations make them 3 weeks in advance? 1st reserved, first request? Didnt want to take any chances, called Hyde Park in Crocker 4 days ahead, took my reservation, was delighted to hold a particular, private table. Probably going to present a birthday desert or something. Cabin Club beginning to get too busy to accomadate their customers. The Hyde Parks, Mortons, all have good food and service also. Its not that special.

I have been a long time customer of the Cabin Club since 1994. There has never been a time when I was disappointed with the food, the service or the ambiance. In fact, many restaurants have come and gone over these years, but the Cabin Club remains strong. The same staff has been there for years, and in fact, it is fairly common that if a staff person leaves, they come back. That says a lot about the Cabin Club. The food is always consistent, the pours on their drinks generous and whether its your first time or you are a regular, you are always welcomed like family. Bob - Rocky River Resident

The Cabin Club is a phenomenal place for lunch. Reasonable prices, reliably good menu, and friendly staff. The lobster bisque is to die for!! But for dinner...? Sadly, overpriced and hadnt kept pace with the quality of new restaurants that have sprung up in Cleveland over the last few years. The dinner clientele is mostly retiree-age folks who remember its heyday. Good for a date night when you want a splurge on steak, but if you can make it a lunch, youll get the same food and walk away much happier!

The atmosphere/service of this place was far better than the food. Cabin Club definitely deserves 5 stars in those categories. My food was average at best. The dinner bread was very good. My Caesar Salad was nothing extraordinary. And the real disappointment was my steak.... I ordered the bone in Strip steak (roughly $30), medium well...... and the steak almost had more fat than meat. I wound up throwing away a good portion of the steak.

Cozy with great food. It is a little tight quarters, so if you desire a bunch of personal space this is not the place for you. We had the sausage stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer and they were amazing! Three giant mushrooms, plenty enough to feed four. The lobster bisque is also quite delightful. Lastly, my steak was cooked to perfection at medium. For four people our bill was about $200. It was well worth it.

We like… scratch it - we love steaks! Our entire family loves them:) This place is one of the best you can find ( I dont just mean locally - DC, Miami, other places) for steaks - this one is on par or better then anything weve tried around the country. Good meat and wine list, perfect service. Suggestion - make sure to call ahead, maybe even a few days ahead, to ensure space.

Good food, good bar and good location. The thing I hate about this place is when you check in to be seated for dinner they tell you when they need the table back. Literally the time they are going to kick you out. Its insulting, it rushes you and overpowers the food with stress. Probably not doing dinner here again since this has happened 4 or 5 times now.

I never recommend this place. Its under racist management. I was told a hour wait. A white couple within 2 mins after was told a half hour no reservations. The prick at the door starts recommending other restaurants. Imagine going to McDonalds and they start recommending Burger King, Wendys... who does that? Polite way of saying anywhere but here sir

Cabin Club is one of my favorite restaurants in town (along with other Hospitality Restaurants). When I want an excellent meal, this is the place to go. The restaurant itself is very inviting and comfortable. And if the food doesnt hook you (first have your taste buds checked), then get the chocolate mousse dessert because it is worth it for that.

Steak was expensive for what you got. My wife and I got 35 dollars steaks and most was fat. The Strip is way better. Better quality steak, better quality sides, better quality establishment. I told the server and showed her the amount of fat and she said she would send the manager over and he never showed up.

Marginal poorly textured tasteless (Cowboy) Ribeye if thats possible. Apparently they have disengaged management and do not take their customers seriously. No response from my email is rather telling. Theres a plethora of quality steak houses in northeast Ohio. You can do much better than the Cabin Club.
