After soaking up the sun on the beach Saturday morning a lady walked by with a menu to this place and informed us they just recently opened and had really great food, plus happy hour from 11-7. I told the lady it was my birthday and you must have read my mind its time to eat and drink. She smiled and said "Happy birthday of course" and pointed to the direction of the restaurant!!! Once I arrived to the restaurant I loved the fans with the cool water breeze. Nice big tables and plenty of open tables. A lady walked by and said have a seat where ever you like, so we grabbed a high top table by the stairs. Shortly after being seated our server Jody came over introduced herself and asked up what we would like to drink. I explained her today was birthday and she didnt even knowledge it and went straight to what are we drinking. Most people would have simply said "Happy birthday lets get you a drink or something along those lines with a happy birthday but nothing from her. Anyway I asked her what their well vodka was. From her answer I decided to pass, to early for a headache. My girlfriend is a beer drinker so we ordered some beers instead, Jody begins to ask us what size (I dont know 12, 16, 22 or something) my girlfriend goes its her birthday so the big ones. Again Jody walks away to place our drink order and fill my sons water bottle. A few minutes later a gentleman brings our beers to us and we ask him whats good? He makes a few good suggestions and then Jody returns looking distraught that we were speaking to him. So I placed an order chicken wings and fries for my son while we decide what it is we went for lunch. My sons food comes in a decent amount of time, which is definitely a plus but then again it they werent that busy 12pm yet. At this time my girlfriend wants to order an appetizer spicy fried shrimp. Wow talk about a joke 6 small breaded shrimp, a complete waste of money and a plate if you ask me. Not worth it save your money. Well now it was time for our lunches I ordered the blackened mahi tacos with beans and rice and a side of garlic mashed potatoes. Im a huge fan of mahi tacos and I pretty much always order these everywhere I go. Again another disappointment on my tacos, they were hard, dry and tasteless (if you ask me they were either over cooked or cooked previously then reheated in microwave or something). I tried to make them taste a little better by asking for hot sauce, salsa something to improve the tasteless taco, but didnt help. My beans and rice looked so sloppy. Basically tossed it in a bowl and it boiled over down the side, but all wasnt bad because my garlic mash was great, hot and favorable. My girlfriend ordered the cajun mahi sandwich and same with her mahi, dried out and over cooked just gross. She even tried to doctor it up too by asking for some sauces which Jody brought out two. Nothing seemed to help and we expressed that to our server... A few minutes later she brings out our bill with no thank you, or happy birthday wrote on top of the receipt. Instead bill came with a trip advisor card inside for a review so Im using yelp instead. The only good part about my entire birthday lunch was my sons lunch.

I normally dont rate restaurants-- but we went to the Salty Crab over winter break and the service and food were absolutely terrible. We waited 1 hour and 15 minutes for our food, and werent told there was a long wait for food. The server took forever to get our drinks, never came and checked on us. My mom ordered baked clams, my dad and I ordered a grouper sandwich: one with fries one with onion rings, and my sister ordered shrimp Alfredo. After waiting forever for our food, the clams came out about half the size they looked on the menu, probably about quarter size, and she ordered a dozen and only about 8 came out. The alfredo had about 5 pieces of shrimp in it and no seasoning. My dad got fries and not onion rings, his sandwich was small, and the fries look like they came out of a freezer bag and did not look like the menu and had no seasoning. We spoke to the manager and she said they dont have onion rings, our server should have told us, and that those are the normal size of their clams. They gave us 10% off the bill and took off the clams, but honestly after waiting for so long and not even getting what we ordered we shouldnt have had to pay. The server didnt apologize and I am sad to have to give such a bad rating, but I would warn people from coming here. The drinks were okay though!

Ate here for lunch with the hubby. He ordered the fried shrimp sampler plate and I ordered the grouper sandwich, his was delicious mine was very so-so as im a FL native and have tried this dish in numerous different restaurants throughout the state, definitely had better, it was bland, fries were ok. I wanted to try a sample of the rum bucket before ordering because I liked mixed drinks but sometimes they are overly sweet and I did not want to send it back if that was the case, many restaurants let you get a tiny sample before ordering, our waitress Morgan replied she will go ask the bartender and never got back to us. Finally we were able to flag her down and order our drinks, which she did not ask us for our drink order and she had a bit of an attitude that we were trying to get her attention. We usually tip 20% or more but in this case we did not because the service was mediocre at best. The food is ok, hit or miss I guess depending on what you order. The will give you a 10% off breakfast the next day if you bring your receipt and the restaurant does have a nice atmosphere and very nice view as it is right on the beach. Also beware of flies and if it rainsand you are sitting towards the entrance you will get drenched.

Sehr nettes Restaurant direkt am herrlichen Sandstrand. Es gefiel uns die Füße im Sand zu haben und das Ferien Feeling zu genießen. Unsere Beiden Kinder konnten super in der Nähe im Sand spielen. Sehr nette und zuvorkommende Bedienung! Essen war durchwegs nach unseren Erwartungen. Enttäuscht war ich von den Calamaris, diese musste ich zwischen den cherry peppers suchen. Darauf angesprochen, meinte die Bedienung es seien halb Calamari und halb cherry peppers. Wenn dem so ist, sollte man das Gericht vielleicht nicht Calamari nennen. Ansonsten sehr zu empfehlen.

This place got a pretty good review so we tried it. We went on a Tuesday evening.......Beware nowhere to park. We found a self park for $6 across the street. We sat immediately. And got service pretty immediately. Ordered the Calamari appetizer and a couple of frozen drinks. We enjoyed the Calamari, but didnt like that it had hot peppers in it. We just picked them out. The drinks were really good. Ordered 2 more...A bacon bleu cheese wedge salad and 2 of the bairdi crab dinners. Our server asked if we wanted the salad first, and I told her I did. Our food was brought by another server, and I mentioned I was supposed to get a salad, I heard her say something to our server, and some words were exchanged and needless to say we never got our salad, and it was never mentioned again.....?????? We liked our server, and the crabs were delicious.......That is why we gave it a 4. The staff seemed very willing to help each other, and were constantly running for something.....And it was very warm outside.
