Anyone who says the food is good obviously hasnt ever been anywhere else, which I guess is pretty typical for Vermilion. HOWEVER there is NOTHING else around so it has to suffice. The best part about this restaurant is the nice older woman named Li or Leigh? Im not sure how you spell it but she is absolutely wonderful. She is pleasant to talk to and she knows my family very well as we frequent this place regularly, at least once a week. If youve been going here long enough you know to pray that the younger girl with glasses is not there. Shes absolutely terrible. Today was the last straw. We walked in for lunch and there were only 2 other women having lunch who warned us that they had been there for an hour and a half. They said if we were on a lunch break for work we may want to consider going elsewhere. This has happened to me twice before with this younger girl where Ive waited over a half hour for my food and had to get it boxed to go and try to eat back at work. Anyway, today I asked her if I stayed would I get my food on time because I had to get back to work. She assured me I would, which I did. When we walked out after we paid she said goodbye and my wife said "See you later" and she looked at me and said I was rude. This infuriated me and I called to speak to a manager. The young girl told me he would call me back, which I know he wont. So Im going to wait until Leigh or Li is back and Im going to either call or go in and chat with her. I respect her, and I believe she would want to know. I wish I had been complaining the entire time but I kept my mouth shut because there isnt any other Chinese place around and it just was never worth complaining. You take the good with the bad...but for that girl to call me rude was absolutely wrong. Even if I was rude by not saying goodbye, she doesnt get to tell me Im rude when I just paid for a service.

If I could give this restaurant 0 stars - I would. The service is terrible, the food is sub-par and the waitress is rude and argumentative. We have been eating here for years and it gets progressively worse with each visit. We have given this place 3 attempts at good service this year and they have failed each time. If your food is burned - you will not be given a refund. They offer to replace the meal - but refused to refund it. The owner is rude and insulting. We have walked into the restaurant at 8:30 when they have a 9:00 close and we were refused service. I have seen them n away other patrons as well for the same reason. Apparently they can burn a meal in 15 minutes it you order carryout, but cannot prepare a meal in less than 30 minutes if you dine in. Do not waste your time or money and do not support a business that does not take care their customers.

The only reason this isnt a one star is the girl that works there is ridiculously nice. Everything I have ever gotten from there has been terrible. General tso might be the worst ever. Fried rice, low mein, pepper steak, crab Rangoon, pot stickers, egg rolls, range from downright disgusting to below average at best. Unfortunately their competition isnt much better. Until I move I guess they have helped me give up on Chinese food so thanks for that.

Ive lived in Vermilion for 8 years and still til today enjoy the food here. When I order for carryout its ready quickly, neatly bagged up with utensils and Im always asked if I want any side sauce. The people there are very friendly and the food is delicious. Sure you can find better food but not without spending 3 times the price. I find the price, quality and serving size just right.

Golden Crown has some of the best Chinese food Ive ever had. The portions are pretty big and the prices are like $6 for a combo meal. I havent been able to find a Chinese restaurant I like better in like 10 years. I highly recommend eating here as it will have something for everyone, and yes, the staff is really friendly.

I am an out of state person we stopped here after a long day on the Ohio Turnpike. Not only did we have to dirve 30 minuets away from the turn pike it was not that easy to find. Let alone the place had very small restrooms. The food was not what we expected for chinese quizen .

Awkward service. Food was okay. I ordered off the diet menu and they didnt season ANYTHING. Just cause Im on a diet doesnt mean it should taste like a robot made it. Waitress wasnt entirely knowledgable about the menu and her tone was loud and gruff. I wont be back.
