Camarones ala Mexicana was what I ordered. Shrimp over yellow rice with deliciousness. The atmosphere (for the most part) was great with a duo of strolling, singing guitarists. Mostly family atmosphere (for the most part) and the waitress we had was fantastict! Very polite, knows her stuff on the dishes and great service! Now, the only complaint I had was that management didnt talk to a VERY LOUD customer who was 3 tables away with his party of 4 people. HE was a big guy, at least 63" and his voice was just loud and carried over to where I was sitting behind him in a booth about 3 tables away.. There were other people in the place and other conversations but I am telling you that guy was LOUD.. maybe he was hard of hearing and that made him loud, but when he started dropping F bombs and other swear words in the family atmosphere that there was, he was just inappropriate. His conversation would have fit better in a sports bar, rather than a family restaurant. I know managment and staff heard him because just about the rest of the people sitting on that side of the restaurant heard him and kept looking at him everytime he swore. There was some few minutes of quiet when I thought he left, but it was only to go to the restroom.. I would give Sabor A Mexico 5 stars , but management has to better address guests who are obviously annoying other customers experience in the restaurant, WITHOUT having to wait for another guest to complain.. I mean, that guy was THAT loud.. Id say at least 120db loud..

** CONSUMER BEWARE ** TACO TUESDAY WARNING • If you choose to eat at this establishment and have not reviewed their website prior to ordering, they may take your leftover food that you paid for and will not allow you take it home nor will they give you your money back at that time. .. The owner, Manuel (who acts like he does not understand English and only will speak Spanish) will do this to you. This happened to my children who ate there and ordered more food than they could finish. .. Rosie (the waitress) aka Mentirosie (mentirosa - which means liar) lied to my children and charged my children for the 10 tacos they ordered, but my children could only eat 6 tacos and the other 4 tacos were taken from them. The 99 cents tacos are supposed to all be eaten at the restaurant - which my children were completely UNaware of their process. THEY HAVE NO SIGNS POSTED IN THEIR INTERIOR and my daughters did not check their website prior to heading to their establishment. I had to go back there to demand my children were refunded for the 4 tacos they refused to allow them to take home. .. When I got there to correct this wrongdoing, they all lied and stated the owner, Manuel (who embarrassed my children) was not there to discuss the matter with me - when he was and I finally approached him directly about his poor management and operations of Sabor A Mexico. ** CONSUMER BEWARE **

Im really surprised by the reviews that say this is the best Mexican food they ever had. I lived in Texas for 32 years, and this wasnt even close. My waitress was fine, but the food was severely underseasoned. My husband got 3 tacos, which were soggy and bland. I have to say, Taco Bell has better seasoning. I ordered the shrimp soup, and almost cried with the first sip of the broth. Not only was there no cilantro, chiles or lime flavors in the broth, there wasnt even salt and pepper. My husband took a sip, and said it tasted like dishwater. The shrimp were fine, and there were enough of them, but the vegetables in the soup were broccoli, cauliflower and carrots. The first two are Mediterrean vegetables, not Mexican. There was no corn or beans in the soup, and Im not sure if there was any onion. It was served in a plastic bowl, and the vegetables were not even cut up. I complained to the waitress, and she took it off the bill. Needless to say, we will not be returning.

Me and my wife went there today. At the beginning everything was OK. The waitress came and asked what we wanted to drink. Then we ordered and the food came a bit late. I ordered the three tacos and they were saggy. My wife ordered the four tacos and the flavor was bland. This restaurant is catered to people that dont know the difference of real Maxican food. After we finished eating we waited around for our waitress that never showed up because apparently she went home or on her break. We were not asked if we wanted any dessert. I dont know whether they had a dessert menu. We were told to pay at the cashier which is a bit rare. Needless to say we will not return to this place. Does anybody know of a Mexican or Puerto rican restaurant near Brandon?

Finally got a chance to check this place out and my wife and I really enjoyed it. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and our waitress was polite and on point. She even suggested the lunch version of what we ordered being that it was a couple bucks cheaper than our original selection for virtually the same dish (I had no idea). Much appreciated! Our food was hot and we both enjoyed our dishes. The portion was pretty big for the price (6.99). So much so that Im glad we went with the lunch version because 2/3 of the way through I was stuffed. Our original selection wouldve no doubt resulted in a lot of wasted food. We will definitely be going back in the future.

I have never rated anything on Google. But this place is terrible. Our waitress came to our table 2 times and it took forever for the food to get to the table. I ordered a salad and I was given shredded lettuce with Bell Pepper terribly cut up and just random uncooked onion slices. My brother ordered a taco and was given a soggy uncooked enchilada. My other brother ordered a Quasidilla and was gifted with a strange version of a burrito that looked nothing like a Quasidilla. Im pretty sure my water was dishwater. Please do not listen to these good reviews for a non existent mexican restaurant. We will not be returning. Ever.

I order enchiladas and they use enchilada sauce from a can , with a ground beef .. Theres nothing MEXICAN in this place And also when the hostess gave us a booth 1. Booth have chips on it. Under the table , pieces of chips and durty napkins. First thing was durty and FOOD NO TASTE... THE ONLY MEXICAN THING HERE IS "" THE NAME"" Never coming back again

*UPDATED REVIEW FROM 2 STAR TO 5 STAR* After 2 years of refusing to give this place another try... A friend of mine asked me to meet for dinner, and wouldnt you know this was the place of choice... Lucky for me! This place has really turned things around since my first visit two years ago (new owners?) . I can honestly tell you that the Wednesday night (all-you-can eat) option is definitely worth checking out. Im in love with the chicken fajitas here!! **DONT LET THE NARROW ENTRANCE FOOL YOU, THEY HAVE A HUGE PARKING LOT IN BACK**
