Good food, but expect a wait & not-so-helpful staff. I arrived here on a Saturday afternoon, about 1 hour before closing. They close midday and reopen for dinner at 5pm. If you have been here before, there is a clear way to order, pay, and sit down. If you are not familiar with this process, there are signs at each table & the register to explain. You place your order at the cashier first, then are assigned a table. When we ordered, I saw the cashier had rung us up for what we ordered, plus a salt lassi, which we did not order. I inquired (before she swiped my card) about it - she glared at me and insisted that wasnt for our order. I asked again to confirm - she said it was not for us. I figured since I was reading it upside down, she was right. When it came time to pay, a different employee took our receipt and swiped our card, but first confirmed our order, and included the salt lassi. I tried to correct him, but he had already swiped. I was pretty disappointed because neither of us wanted the lassi - they simply told us it was too late, too bad - we were getting the salt lassi and we were paying for it. Despite the rough start, we took our seats, helped ourselves to the free water, and waited. We had ordered a masala chai (sweet, spicy, milk tea), dai vada, and chole bhatura. The dai vada came out in the first 3 minutes, and my mom enjoyed it. The other 2 items took almost 16 minutes. There was no line at the cashier, but there were plenty of people inside. Still, these two snack items should not have taken so long. The food was delicious, but if you are in a hurry, this is not the best. Quite a few people came at closing time and were still assisted in buying sweets - that was nice to see! I also think their trays to go are very popular.

I do not understand why this place is overvalued. We ordered Chole Bhature and Chole was quite disappointment taste wise. Also,Aloo paratha ordered did not have any side dish like a small bowlful of raita or chutney. Most importantly, what I did not like is you can sit there only after you order.Until then, rest of the family has to stay standing. They will not usher you when you arrive, nor will they let you sit on any of the chairs (because by the time you sit on your own, some body who has already ordered will come there saying "We are told to sit on this table".I do not blame that customer though).but they will instruct you as where one has to sit.I was asked where would I like to have my seat.I asked if I could have the booth. Then she made me have a table with 4 chairs because we were just 3 and she was way too worried about securing that Booth for future customers who were not there yet.(No, it was not reserved) I asked if they still had Makki ki Roti. She(the owner I guess) could have politely said "Sorry mam,we do not have any" but instead "No no, last roti is just served. We only have saag.you can order if you want" in a very rude manner as if I was asking for free. Very unwelcoming proprietress. Not so tasty food at all.A huge imrovement in their attitude and hospitality is a must.

Ok so you want authentic India food? Then this is the place to get it. Not a big Indian food person? Doesnt matter youll still find something you like here. Theyve just moved to the other end of the 5 shop strip mall and almost quintupled their size!! And if you stop in here for lunch, it shows. They have awesome lunch specials! $4.99 for an entree (might i suggest the Mushroom Saag), a carrot and sweet onion salad, rice, and naan (again the garlic naan is superb) They also have 4 spice scales, so you can stick with the mild if youre not a fan, and it will be perfect. And regular has just a touch. They have water coolers set up for something to drink, or you can purchase a can of pop or juice, or try some traditional Indian bottled drinks. Im not a fan of their sweets, but I couldnt dock them a star based on the fact that I dont care for that type of "sweet" but my cousin swears by the sweets, and again their authentic as can be. The staff is super awesome and make it a point to get to know you and remember youre name, and even sometimes your order. If youre looking for something different, authentic, or spicy, this is definitely worth a stop!!

I had billing issues multiple times, but I never complained. This time, I was with my family, they were settling in table 14 and I am ordering at the counter. I am still placing the order and waiting for payment( took like 10 minutes) and a dish was brought my family table. They consumed it as if I ordered it(since they do not knew). After 5 minutes, representative came to table and started arguing that I have to pay for the consumed dish. Isnt this rediculous, I was also on a phone talking to friend and he did not even wait till I show up. He came and he said what he wanted to say. If I thought of making it a mess I would have easily done it. Just to respect another Indian I did not do it and I paid for the not ordered dish. Dear Brij Mohan, Please plan your tables, billing methods, mentor your workers and receive customers. If customers are not there you are not there.

This place used to be good, however looking at expansion, they have managed to change the menu taking out all good items from lunch menu. They also want to recover the cost of expansion from customers by hook or crook soon. Hence they reduced quality, added more rice and potatos to menu. At a same time they have become arrogant. Serving quantity of good items (if any) have gone down. They dont give respect to customers they deserve. It seems like they dont need customers any more. Food quality and service quality has gone seriously down. I do not recommend this restaurant at all. We have stopped going there, and will continue distribute the word of caution to all friends. bizzare, but true, and everyone we talked to so far has aggreed to this opinion.

I heard from people saying that you get good and fresh food at this Restaurant. But I had a bad experience, Infact I bought some snacks and sweets for some of colleagues at office to introduce them to Indian food and it was a flop. The sweets were not at all fresh, An Indian can easily make out the taste, flavour and freshness of the product. Overall the sweets were priced very high and also not fresh. Also the hospitality is very bad, the lady at the counter has no manners to even say a Please and thank you to a customer. All she is bothered about is how much you buy and how fast you buy. Also service is bad they make you wait for a very long time and setup needs to be improved

The Lady at the counter thinks she is running a hotel near Chandini Chowk Area (New Delhi). Thats how her attitude towards "indian" customers. 1) Never try their bhel puri... Better you can get a packet of "Haldirams Bhel puri from indian stores for $2.00... Both has same taste. 1) Sometimes poorly staffed during peak times. 2) Another guy who takes orders sometimes (I guess her son). I asked about a dish on the menu (like spice level, Ingredients , etc), He said, "He cannot explain how it is made... i m delaying other customers". (WTH).. you are poorly staffed!. Also on the menu... i m not asking you the receipe and ofcourse it is not so secret as Coke or KFC :).
