I do not recommend their “specialty” drink of the day. This evening the waitress greeted my wife and I, and asked for our drink order. I hadn’t planned on having anything other than water, but the waitress mentioned they were having a “special” $4 something for Long Island Ice Tea. As this is one of my favorite drinks both my wife and I said ok. One for both of us. Apparently “special” equals no alcohol. That had to be the weakest drink I have ever had. My wifes might have had a milligram of alcohol. Not to mention the other ingredients were a very far cry from Long Island and had absolutely no resemblance to ice tea. Ever since they took the boneless riblet dinner off the menu this place has steadily declined through the years. Though my wifes order of chicken legs were very good (hard to mess that up and thats your one star), food quality has gradually declined and is very iffy at times. It is now on my list of places for expensive general pub food and beers (as long as the bartender is not making the beer). Great atmosphere and setting but that is about it. I used to go here a lot, then it was only if I got a gift card, now I will regift future gift cards to some poor fool.

This particular (noisy) restaurant is not the same as it was, compared to the mid-1990s. Today, the cooks take delight in burning food beyond recognition. Nonetheless, they have a good beer selection (if certain beers are in stock) which will be necessary to consume copious amounts of, in order to eat Winking Lizards food in Peninsula. If you enjoy contracting oral diseases, then feel free to dine in and eat off of their dirty dining ware. Chances are good that youll contract hepatitis. If the staff members are too ignorant to even properly clean off their dishes, what does that say about how they cook your food? Do you like eating fresh off a dirty fork that bubba-the harley rider just ate off of? Who knows where his/her/its mouth has been? Staff members are snobs; in fact, the human population of Peninsula, Boston Heights and Richfield pretend they are wealthy, yet in reality, theyre just placeholders at the Northern edge of Akron & Southern edge of Cleveland. Not much in the realm of monetary wealth or high class in those areas. Youd be better off eating edibles from the nearby lawn where Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath trail walkers and their dogs use as their public toilet.

What a great small chain restaurant in NE Ohio. They have a huge beer selection and a great menu with tons of different food offerings. If you like beer as much as me, join the Beer Tour which tests your meddle over the course of a year to sample 100 of the over 200 beers they have to offer. Ive not yet completed the tour but that hasnt stopped me from trying time and time again. Blasted IPAs. I also really like the personal pizzas they make. Lots of weekly and nightly specials make it a great place to eat while I work my way thru the beer tour. The original stage from when this place was a dance hall in the 70s is still there offering the older folks a nostalgic trip back in time. Before or after your meal take a long walk on the Tow Path bike/hike trail either north to Cleveland or South to Akron. Either direction is bound to be relaxing!

Winking lizard is one bar I couldnt forget even after 5 years. My CuyahogaFalls days in 2012 were the best times of my life, me playing golf, and Friday binges will stay with me forever. My good friend Ray C Roberts took me one day to Winking Lizard and thats the start of it. we were there every Friday evening, after our golf session, in the cellar, enjoying Four Roses Bourbon, Small Batch. While the drink is very good, the service and hospitality was amazing. I was never treated like an outsider, but just as part of the pack. I have good memories of the beer bar of the first floor as well, but then it would be too long for a review. Thank you Winking Lizard for all the good memories you gave me.

Food was delivered to the table behind us, sat a minute, then was picked up and given to us. Not a fan of that but was assured they werent touched so whatever, not servers fault it was from the kitchen staff that brought it to wrong table. Server was good and very nice, southwestern egg rolls are awesome, wings you could tell were frozen. Tasted like they were microwaved, not sure if they were but tasted like it. Place is very cool Inside, very busy but didnt wait long. Ill be back again, good stop on a motorcycle ride through the valley, scenery is neat inside, food is average, probably will not get wings again though.

This is by far my favorite place for food and beverage (and free popcorn!)! Their World Tour of Beers is amazing offering the largest selection of bottle beers Ive ever seen. Also, I highly recommend taking advantage of their Beer of Month. For roughly a $1 more than a normal craft beer you get their featured beer of the month (and they seem to be unique everytime) and an awesome matching beer glass to take home. Definitely worth the stop! Ive been to the Peninsula one and the Columbus one, though both are great, the Peninsula one is my favorite.

We saw our waiter two times when we ate here, once when we placed our order and once when we asked for the check. Our food came out and two of the four peoples wings were under seasoned, they were dry rub and only had rub on the top, like it was sprinkled on the wings after they were put on the plate. Im pretty sure I have had plain wings with more flavor than the wings at Winking Lizard. The wings were small and for more than a dollar each, I wouldnt come back.

If youre from Northeast Ohio and youve never been to a Winking Lizard, shame on you! If youve been to the Lizard before, this is the best one, considering its nestled in the heart of the CVNP. Bring your bicycle, ride through the Towpath, then return to the Lizard for some Wings and Beer. Their burgers and pretty darn good too, and they have an excellent beer selection (over 100 different beers are always available). Highly recommended, 5/5!

Its good bar food, with good service and location, but the hosts can sometimes be blisteringly incompetent, unable to seat customers in a timely manner, even when the place is half empty. Keeping track of the number and location of available/unavailable tables would easily solve this problem, yet this rarely seems to be done. Its a shame, given the quality of the place, and the professionalism and competency of the remaining staff.

Was a regular at winking lizard in canton. Moved to peninsula and very disappointed in this place. Last 2 times we were there it was bad food and service. Was not busy had to ask for everything, food was cold, lettuce was wilted, and wings were dry. All 4 meals were cold. Very disappointing! I always said the lizard is always good every time, not this one .
