It honestly pains me to have to even give this place one star. While I have never eaten here I NEVER will. On Saturday I parked in an open lot behind this location. The lot had a 4 hour time limit. After the 3 hours that I was at the square I returned to my car only to find a big truck parked behind me. The spot next to me was open and I figured I could easily maneuver my car through this spot without having to have the truck owner move. As I was getting into my car 2 men came out of the restaurant one wearing a chef jacket and the other was the truck owner, presumably an employee also. The truck guy starts screaming at me asking why I would ever think its okay to park where I was parked or try to leave the spot without getting him first. I explained my thought process to which I was told was "pretty stupid." The chef then came up to my passenger window and asked me where I was while I was gone. I told him I didnt feel like that was his business and he kept asking. I told him I was at cool beans and he replied "not for that long you werent." I rolled up my window and the truck was moved all the while the owner of the truck was in the cab throwing his arms in the air and screaming some more. Im not sure in what world it is okay to try to intimidate someone that wasnt doing anything wrong, let alone a young woman thats by herself. Harassment is never okay and was the last thing I expected on a Saturday afternoon in the Medina square. I will tell everyone I know not to ever go to this restaurant again!

Went to House of Hunan in Medina a few months ago and ordered Drunken Fish. The Mgr. & cooks did not know what kind of fish it was. While we were eating, waitress said she went in basement and said it was swai, worst, most toxic fish in the world. We paid but stopped going. Went last night and used a Mimi coupon. After paying, mgr stopped us and said he cant accept it because it had 2 locations on it besides Medina. I was embarrassed and did not argue but called on the phone and asked him for his bosss name. He REFUSED to give it or the phone # and REFUSED to give his name. LAST TIME-I WILL TELL EVERYONE I CAN ABOUT THIS AWFUL PLACE!! Went there last night after absence of several months when we were served swai, most toxic fish in the world and one of the cheapest. Used a Mimi coupon and paid another approx.$40.00. As we were leaving the mgr. stopped us and said he cant accept the coupon because it had 2 other locations besides Medina. I was embarrassed so did not argue. Got home and called him and asked for his bosss name and phone and he REFUSED to give it and REFUSED to give his own name. Called Mimi today for a refund and will never go back AND tell as many people as possible - thank goodness for social media! Too bad- we have been going since they opened and between us have about $45.00 in reward points coming which they can shove!

My girlfriend and I have come here often but the quality of the food has dropped. Tonight we ordered the Sushi Boat as we did last time but last time we requested that they put mostly tuna, salmon, eel and shrimp on the boat and 95% was what we asked for. This time we got 15% of what we wanted and asked if they could give us more of what we asked for like the last time we were there. it came back and everything was far from fresh!! It was chewy and looked like it was sitting out for a days and or freezer burned. To top it off the manager was arrogant as hell. In all of the years of eating out from the top to the bottom of restaurants Ive never seen a manager act so unprofessional. after eating 3 pieces each we stopped and told the manager well pay half even though we only ate less than 1/4 of the crap on the boat. So after waiting 5 minutes for the manager we just paid the whole tab. Then the manager shows up and says sorry we cant take anything off the bill. WASABIs quality of food and service blows this place away and is worth the drive to Montrose! Thanks for the upset stomach Hunan!

We have been going to House of Hunan for years and the service is getting worse and worse. Over the years we have gone to dinner there less because of this. Tonight was our last night eating there. We have been told many times that we can special order an item without being charged. (My wife has a food alergy and has to have food specially prepared to avoid shellfish). Every time we go they say it will be no problem (as we are ordering our food). When we recieve the bill we are charged and extra fee to have the special care of our food. We do not get this treatment and flat out lies at any other restaurant we dine at. When we first started dining there years ago it was no problem. We have tried to be more than reasonable about this with the restaurant but they refuse to adjust the charges.

A jewel of a restaurant. The sushi and tempura are out of this world. I have paid twice as much for this high quality of sushi in larger cities, and the experience here was just as good. Great atmosphere, contemporary decor, and we loved the low table seating option. We order multiple drinks each, yummy soups, edamame, the sushi love boat for 4-6 plus the Caroler roll and dessert and the total cost was less than $35 per person. I have no idea where the reviews come saying it is expensive. Maybe they meant to go to the all you can eat Chinese buffet. Also, most of the negative reviews on listed here are clearly paid slams as they cluster at 9 months and 12 months ago and share the same poor grasp of the language. One of the best places for sushi in NE Ohio.

It had been a couple years since Id been to House of Hunan in Medina, and when we went on a fall Saturday for lunch, I kept asking myself why we dont go more often. Service was excellent; genuinely friendly, prompt, and professional. In the dining room facing the square, floor to ceiling glass folding doors were open, on a perfect day almost making me think I was in California. We ordered the red curry noodle bowl with tofu, and vegetables with cashew and tofu in brown sauce. Not only were both dishes full of flavor, but the servings were extremely generous, making for a really good value. Were definitely planning to come back more often.

If I could put a 0 star up for this joint I would! VERY DISAPPOINTING! The staff at the front desk were terribly rude! The one girl had a personality worse than a rock in my front yard! That should never be the case when your job is to work take care of people. I and several others where I work order from here EVERY week and EVERY TIME they mess up our order! The worse part about them messing up the order is not only do they doubt the fact that they did.... but they give you a hard time and talk down to you when correcting it. VERY VERY VERY disappointing and I will not be returning in the future!
