My wife and I were going to the Cheesecake factory for our 19th anniversary (one of her favs), when we got there it was pretty busy and i was like no way am I going to wait for "franchise food", so we left. (Needless to say our night wasnt off to a great start.) Let me tell you I am a complete food snob. Anyways, We saw this place on the way and it had a really cool look to it so we decided to try it out... ..man oh man let me tell you, it was GODs will to put us there. From the moment we walked in It didnt feel like we were cattle being prodded through the cycle of give me your $$$, eat and clear the premises in a timely manner (On order to get the next heads of cattle in those seats)... ..They seated us promptly and asked if we would like white or dark linen. (Who does that, right?) Then we were greeted by probably the best server I have ever had named Cyndi Reilly. She knew that menu like the back of her hand, & described the entrees like a best selling author tells a great story. I tell her its our anniversary and wow did she make the night spectacular!!! A hostess (I presume) came over and sprinkled little metal hearts all over our table and gave us a hand written anniversary card from the staff. (For a couple of walk in customers!) Then Cyndi brings us a complimentary appetizer sample with balsamic vinager that was aged for 15 years! (Almost as long as my wife and I have been married!!!) After salad she brings us 2 mango sherbets to "cleanse our palets", then she brings us 2 complimentary glasses of champagne perfectly accented with a single rasberry in each. I tell my wife, "you see, this is what you get when you go away from those dumb franchises." But wait, theres more! We are told "happy anniversary" by almost every employee at the establishment. Then Cyndi says, "the Chef would like to meet you & give you a tour of the kitchen." She takes us back and shows us everything. Immaculate facility! The staff in the back were efficient, AND friendy as heck. They worked & acknowledged us in a waaaay welcoming way. (I felt like part of the crew, it made me want to work there!) She brings us where the magic happens, the cooler where they dry age their steaks for like 45 days, then explains the process. (Again, I am amazed!) We go back to our table and the food comes out... ..cooked to perfection! I had the dry aged bone in Delmonico Ribeye (medium rare of course) with the South African Lobster tail & my wife had the seared citrus glazed salmon. We also shared the parmesan truffle fries (BAM! Knockout side!) The searing of the steak was Delightful and the tail was succulent and very flavorful, it came with a grill seared lemon to spritz it with and a side of melted butter. My wifes Salmon mustve been excellent because her plate was empty in 1 tenth the time mine was (including the heirloom tomatos , green beans and what I presume was a half of a grilled mini onion?) A manager comes over and asks us how everything was, and also tells us "happy anniversary". (This is where the bomb goes off... ..she telks us this is a Darden establishment. My jaw drops, I like Olive Garden as much as the next guy but this is no Olive Garden! A Darden Resturant? This was like Chop-house on steroids! Cyndi comes back, yet again with another gift from her. An anniversary dessert. The plate had "Happy Anniversary" printed on it in Chocolate!!! ;) Wow, all I can say is WoW!!! There are 4 Ps that I rate anything I pay for on... ..Person, Place, Product, and Price... ..Person (Cyndi) 5 stars, Place (staff, facility, ambience, cleanliness, system) = 5 star, Product (food delivered in a timely fashion and quality/taste unmatched) = 5 star, Price = PRICELESS --- (the Capital in Lyndhurst, Ohio made our anniversay the best & most memorable anniversary I can remember having in 19 years, Thank-you!!!!!!!!)

Fine dining at its very best.. We came for our parents anniversary dinner, with both my husband and his father having had been to Capital Grille in other parts of the country. This new location right here in Lyndhurst did not dissapoint, on any level. From the moment you walk in the door, the ambiance draws you in, the soft lighting, elegant glass wine cooler, chic decor and softly piped in jazz music set the mood for a lovely evening. The service is impeccable. These are the best of the best in the service industry, performing their tasks with grace, confidence, even alittle humor so as not to be mistaken as stuffy, just..Refined. The food itself was prepared to absolute perfection. My filet Oscar beat out a highly esteemed and well historied New York steakhouse as my best meal ever. The filet was tender and juicy throughout, well seasoned and flavorful, it easily stood on its own as an incredibly well prepared classic, but the addition of the delicate crab meat in a buttery bernaise on top took it to a whole new level of indulgence. I could not recommend it enough to anyone who enjoys both filet mignon and crab meat. As most fine dining restaurants their side dishes are ala cart, but the filet did come with some asparagus tips which complemented the dish nicely. We did order side dishes that were all well received, and the wine~ the house Cab was perfect, but the icing on the evening, of course, was dessert. I chose the coconut cream pie and am still salivating at the memory of it today. A hearty cookie crust, filled with a sweet and silky coconut custard, topped off with a light cream whip and fresh sliced almonds. Absolutely flawless, the entire meal, the entire experience. Well done, Capital Grille.

Wow! Absolutely Wonderful! Our experience at The Capital Grille was better than 5 Stars. As soon as Stephen came over and introduced himself, we knew it was going to good. Stephen had excellent knowledge of the menu and a truly wonderful personality. His recommendations were spot on and descriptions of the menu we perfect. The meal itself was flawless. The Cold Shellfish Platter appetizer was very fresh and delicious. The Dry Aged Filets were so tender and perfectly prepared that you did not need a steak knife. My sons Chef Special of the Kona Crusted Dry Aged NY Strip was fabulous. It was probably the best we have had anywhere in the county. Stephen also recommended the South African Lobster Tails. They have them flown in every morning and the freshness and sweetness did not disappoint. We went here on a recommendation of a friend who was also impressed with this Restaurant, and The Capital Grille did not let us down. Thank You!

Terrible service. Ran out of our ordered beverage so we chose a different one. My husband and I ordered the same salad, only one came to the table, they ran out. We decided to share the salad, server brought a second salad plate. We soon discovered its underside was smeared with food not washed off. It did not seem to surprise the server. She placed a napkin over the soiled tablecloth in front of me. The dirty tablecloth seeped through the napkin next to my dinner plate. It was disgusting. The salad was "on the house". Disturbing restaurant experience to say the least!! Will never eat there again. There are too many wonderful independent Cleveland restaurants to experience.
