It was our first time trying Bucks this week! I pass the place all the time and it was nice what we expected! It is so relaxing and inviting as we walked in! The place was not slammed but almost full. We were greeted by a server and told it was seat yourself either in the dining room or a bar table. The bar itself was pretty full so we grabbed a table. Our server came over immediately with a smile and offered us drinks as it was happy hour. I was surprised the appetizers were also half price, which we ordered the pretzels with our drinks. We asked out server what she recommended and she was so informative. So we went on her recommendations which was the chicken strips, battered to order with their homemade honey mustard (awesome)! We ordered too much food of course but wanted to try everything. My husband got the Reuben which she also recommended because they make their own kraut! Delicious......I ordered a half of bucks salad with a burger! One of the best burgers ever! We didnt have room for dessert and took to go boxes! Everything was so good! I highly recommend this place and make sure you ask for Laural, she was so nice and treated us like family. Thanks for the great experience.......we will be back!

Dont let this place fool you, its legit! Four of us stumbled in here when heading down to a concert at Riverbend and honestly, I have no idea how we landed at Bucks. One thing is for sure though, it was a great accident and timed perfectly. The happy hour had 1/2 priced appetizers which turned out to be our entire meal, along with some Rhinegeist brews. The chicken fingers were outstanding (and yes, I know how stupid that sounds.) Hear me out though... they appeared to be homemade and the garlic buffalo sauce was a perfect blend of spicy and flavorful. We also had the onion straws and hot pretzels. All in all, we had 2 rounds of drinks, a ton of food and barely cracked $50 for 4 people!

My wife and I purposefully seek out locally owned businesses to try out, and we recently landed at Bucks Tavern. I think it has a great half-bar, half-restaraunt feel. While I was pleasantly happy with the chili and brisket sandwich, my wife struggled to find something that was healthy and fit her diet. I can see myself returning with a few buddies, but I probably wont go back with my wife due to the one-dimensional menu. If you want the hangout place, its perfect. However, it might be a rocky gamble if youre going with selective eaters or people whom you dont know their dietary needs.

Great food and atmosphere, this has become our favorite lunch spot. Everything is fresh and handmade. The chicken, burgers and wings are perfect. Cant wait to try the rest of the menu. The decor is a bit lodge like. Warm and inviting. With 40s music playing softly (think Sinatra) the entire place is easy to sink into. All of the staff, and the owner, are warm and welcoming. Very easy going and responsive. We feel welcome every time. Definitely worth a visit, or several.

I had driven by this place many times, and never thought of going in, until a friend recommended it. And Im glad she did! Great atmosphere, people are friendly, the menu was superb for a little pub. The thing that really gets you when you first walk in, is the decor. You think youre in an old hunting lodge! In summary; great food, awesome staff, good beer selection, and even wine! This will be a regular place. Even good for families!

Their steak sandwich is AMAZING! Ive eaten there twice and have gotten it both times. Its so good I cant try anything else. I actually want it again thats why Im on here looking up the number to order it on my way home from work lol. The restaurant is very nice inside, I love the atmosphere! Try it out!

sure beats another trip to Applebys or Fridays. Everything on the menu is great (salmon salad, Dans burger, quesadilla). Its a little more than Id like to pay, but I just really like the atmosphere. Been there with the kids and for a date with my wife. I recommend it and well be back again.

I have to give this place 5 stars. I read other reviews and wanted to try something new. It did NOT disappoint! I had fish n chips and the tarter sauce was homeade. The fish was not battered to death. Beer selection included local crafts. Bar area was clean. Give this place a shot!

Always great food (priced right), atmosphere and service. I almost always go for the Dans Burger but their chicken sandwiches are also a favorite. Best yet they really cool everything to order..today I wanted crispier fries and they accommodated.

We love going to Bucks! The "bar food" is not your standard bar food! You can tell they take a lot of care and effort into making the food taste fresh, homemade and delicious...and the beer is always cold! Yum

Finally tried Bucks after years of driving by it. Wonderful place. Food is good, beer is cold and its a very cozy atmosphere. Loved the Apple pie!!! Chopped salad was one of the best salads Ive ever had.
