First time recently went and it smelled so good in there. Like an old fashioned ice cream parlor. Food was ok, liked the burger but the fried chicken sandwich was REALLY good. My mother is elderly and has problems hearing and has a speech problem. The only thing that upset me was the manager. Young girl that was totally unprofessional. Allyson was her name and we wont be back because of her. She was rude and shouldnt be a a manager. My mother was having a difficult time telling her what she wanted and she was so impatient. I asked to see a a manger and she replied "yep your lookin at her" she wasnt busy so I didnt understand what the rush was well she didnt write down our order and screwed it up. We did get the food remade but she never checked back the second time. Poor service, she was too busy talking to a young man about her plans for the evening. Noticed her grabbing fries off another customers plate in the food window. I was shocked. She never offered us more to drink and I had to get up and ask the young man for a check. I asked for Allyson and he said she was busy in the office. He would ring us up. I asked for someone else in charge and he said she was the only manager and she was busy. There were only 4 other people in there. I never saw her again. In my opinion they should have someone else in charge maybe someone with people skills. I tipped the young man instead of her, hopefully he kept it. We wont be back ALLYSON!

We went to have lunch at this establishment on Sunday, September 14, 2014. We had a normal dining experience until we were gathering ourselves to leave. We were seated next a very narrow aisle/walkway and my son was waiting for me. He started walking toward me, when an employee came behind him, raised her leg in the air as to shove him out of her way and stated in a very exasperated tone "You need to learn to stay out of the way." First of all, my son is 3 years old. Secondly, he was very well-behaved and minding his own business. Thirdly, she was BEHIND him, how could he have known she was approaching? I was very upset and asked to speak to the woman. I said "It is not appropriate to kick my son and tell him to get out of the way." To which she replied in a very huffy tone, "I did NOT kick him,YOU are inappropriate!!" I was so shocked by her absolute horrible attitude and was stunned for a moment. I asked a worker to speak to the manager, just to learn this terrible employee was THE BOSS! I was disgusted. I spoke to the woman again and told her I would be contacting the BBB, to which she replied snottily "Go right on ahead, Honey."

My wife and I went there today to have a very fine lunch as weve have had in the past. Weve drove several hours. Its been about 8 years or so since weve been there, so we remember those good ole days. There wasnt that many there to eat and thought they already ate or whatever. This place was always packed with locals and tourists. We ordered our usual like from those days, egg salad sandwiches. What we got wasnt what we had and remembered. We got a lot more bread than egg salad, egg salad looked like it went through a blender and wheres the chunks of eggs. We had to add a little salt and pepper. We ate the so called egg salad and bread it covered but left bread behind. The pickle was good and chips were broken. I asked the checkout gal, whose been there for years, what happened to the egg salad and that it wasnt the same and she said new owners for past several years. We paid for it and said we wont be back. If they can screw up egg salad no telling what the rest of the food will taste like. We walked through town and eventually talked to some locals who said dont go back its not the same. Never again.

We were looking for a place to eat because we were going to Lebanon and I was reading the reviews. I was seriously considering going back to this place but I can see it is still bad. Its not really the food its the service. Last time we were there I had a somewhat similar encounter with that girl manager Allison. I remember her name because its my daughters name as well. She was also rude to us. I dont need to bash her because its not my style but she should not be in charge. Too young and inexperienced. RUDE! Not only to us but the older gentleman cooking. You need to respect your coworkers and hello the place isnt that big we can hear you. I hope the owners read this because she is ruining your business. She doesnt know how to handle customers in a professional Manner! I see others feel the same way-thats all I will say. We will rethink our dinner options. Wont be back!

My Wife and I visited there on 2-19-16. I ordered my usual Bacon Pimento Cheesbuger on Rye Bun and my wife just had a Deluxe Hot Dog. I asked about the Funnel Cake Fries with the Powdered Sugar & the waiter said they no longer had them. The Bun on my Burger was Stale & kept flaking off, I also didnt think the meat tasted the same as previous. The Counter Stools were gone & also the Salad Bar. And worst of all they no longer have Hersheys Ice Cream but something called Johnsons, who ever heard of that. Oh the bill was $14.xx with Tip. The bottom line we wont ever be going back. The New Owner has completely ruined a long standing great Restaurant. Kala & Koni

The serve all the old favorites, the prices are good (same ballpark as DQ or UDF) and the food is simple but excellent. The burgers in particular are thin and crispy. My wife loves the pizza steak burger. Ive never had a bad experience at the Ice Cream Parlor. For ice cream fans, try each flavor of the "old fashioned" ice cream sodas. The malts and shakes are good too. A great lunch stop if you are visiting town on the weekend, or want a quick bite to eat.

The Parlor is one of the staples of Lebanon. As a long time resident of Lebanon who has moved away, I can honestly say there are very few restaurants which capture the atmosphere this restaurant has as well as accompany it with great food. Whenever I find myself back in Lebanon, I always stop at the Parlor at least once.

A very fun place to visit it is like walking back in time a place where they make old fashioned sodas as well as the décor with its charm a lot of old simple favorites fun fore all young and old I would say that I would give it 5 stars if the staff was as friendly as it was the night before

Ive been going here since I was a kid and I have always loved it. They have the best grilled cheese and milkshake and it has a cute and antique atmosphere. The redhead "kaylie" that works there was my favorite employee she was wonderful to talk to and gives great service
