If I had to review this place solely based on the Hibachi experience Id probably have given it at least three stars. The Hibachi grill was pretty standard. The food was OK, not great, and the chef did a nice job with the grill entertainment. Aside from that, this place is awful. The first thing I noticed was how empty it was at 6:30 p.m. on a Thursday. That should have been my first clue. Then, I couldnt help but notice how dirty the place was overall. My feet were sticking to the floor as I walked to our table and once I sat down my shoes were almost glued to the floor. Our server was pretty bad...and thats being kind. My 13-year old son ordered a California roll for dinner. My 10, soon to be 11-year old daughter ordered the Pokemon (chicken/shrimp Hibachi). My wife had the pineapple chicken hibachi and I had a chicken stir fry hibachi. Again, the Hibachi was fine. The egg rolls we ordered could have been frozen and microwaved and the soup was pretty gross. I had planned to be very stingy on my tip due to our servers lack of attention to our table. With no other tables--Im not exaggerating, we were the only group in the hibachi side of the restaurant--our server should have checked on us, at least to refill our drinks. I was shocked when I received the bill to see 18-percent gratuity already added, which pushed our dinner total for four (two adults and two kids) to $91.50. Seriously? 18-percent gratuity? No wonder our server seemed careless. He was. He already was getting 18-percent, why work harder? Our purpose for visiting the Hibachi was to celebrate my daughters birthday. It was her choice. She wanted the sparkler cake dessert. Unfortunately, this Hibachi didnt have it. They did have a cheesecake my kids were excited about, but apparently the restaurant was out. They settled for sherbert, which might have been in the freezer since the day the place opened. At least they ate the whipped cream. We wont be back and I dont recommend this place to anyone else.

Absolutely terrible. First thought when I walked on was "what is this mildew smell". Willing to try is because a coworker gets it all the time, I proceeded to order. My order was ready I good time. I went back to work and started to do what I do with all hibachi. "Mix it together". I asked for medium well steak. Steak was well done. Corn and green beans in the rice. Yum yum sauce was not tasty at all. $20 and I couldnt get past the first bite. The smell of it made my stomach turn. Should have followed my first mind and went to Panera. Long and short of it. I was just going to toss it and never go back again, when the person that recommended the place to me to take it back and get a refund. Well it wasnt that easy. I had mixed the rice, veggies, and meat together, however the box was filled to the brim with one corner missing. That was a problem. I even brought back the salad, soup, and the other container of yum yum sauce back. First they argued me down about medium well and said that their is no pink in medium. I explained that medium well has a slight pink center. They said they cut up their steak so theirs doesnt. I have been to many hibachi and get medium well with no issue. The corn and green beans in the fried rice just topped it off. Because I didnt pay attention to what was in the rice before I mixed it with my food it was my fault. So after 20 mins of back and forth with them they finally refunded my money at least I think they did. Worst experience in a very long time. To add to the issues. My stomach is still hurting from the small spoon full that I had 3 hours ago.

I just left this restaurant for my daughters birthday today. If you have a birthday program you may want to explain to your workers to know what theyre talking about before your customers order. I was told I.D. was needed and without I.D. the person with the birthday would get a slice of cheesecake. My child didnt get her cheesecake or anything else. Dont get me wrong I fully understand needing proof of a date of birth but you need to clarify whose I.D. you need because my 12yr old daughter doesnt typically walk around with I.D. that will identify her date of birth. You may also want to send your staff for sensitivity and communication training. My daughter did not enjoy her birthday at all and I paid an $80 bill for 1 adult and 2 children (12 and 8) just to have garbage service. There were only two tables being used in the entire restaurant and my waitress only had me and my children.... BTW I found out her name from the receipt because she never introduced herself and was short and unwelcoming from the time we walked in until the time we left. Then she had the audacity to come check on me and my children (the one time she did) while eating a bowl food. Needless to say we will not be back and honestly the only reason I ever came there was because it was my daughters request for her birthday!

What I first noticed upon walking in and being seated was the restaurant divided down the middle between Black and White people, of which there were far more blacks than whites. I didnt know if this was done intentionally by the hostess or perhaps due to a large family gathering (there wasnt one), either way it made the setting very uncomfortable. As a side note, Im not racist or prejudicial and didnt really care where I sat or who with, but the hostess put me and my friend (were both white) at an all white table with two additional open seats. As were looking at the menu the same hostess brought two more menus and led a black male and female to our table. They took one look at where they were sitting and immediately the black male said aloud, "I dont want to sit there, I dont want to sit next to them." I tell you, I never felt more embarrassed than I was at that moment! To hear someone say that aloud in a crowded restaurant which was already divided in half, made for an unpleasant evening. The food was below average for the amount paid. I didnt try the sushi, but the hibachi tasted very bland and lacked flavor. Ill not be returning, nor will I recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Horrible experience from top to bottom. Food was not fresh, atmosphere was very unwelcoming, server was in her final days working there, and it showed, hibatchi chef was boring. Brought concerns to management via email save night as no one was present in the poorly staffed restaurant, offered me $20 to come back and try again, would rather starve. Wanted a refund, but want an option to them, but they obviously are going to need to money to pay rent. Poor customer service and they should be embarrassed to have such poor management staff, its no wonder the glassware was dirty, food was old and not fresh, and service staff seemed disgruntled. Looking at the other reviews, if I was the owner ( Benny Tam) I would question what has happened recently that changed peoples opinions of the establishment instead of making customers out to be liars when they describe their experience.
