A Frustratingly Terrible Experience I had good intentions of taking my wife out to a great breakfast, but it was unfortunately ruined by this establishment. When we arrived, we were happy to see that they werent very busy, as there were quite a few booths available. They seemed well staffed as we witnessed tables around us being waited on by two people, plus a manager (also assumed, as she was going table to table talking to other customers about their food). That was the frustrating part of our experience. We were seated and told that our server would be there shortly. Well, a half hour and two attempts at flagging down a server later, and my wife and I were on our way out. We didnt even get a chance to order our drinks. We sat there, for thirty minutes, without even being acknowledged. For the first 15-20 minutes, I attempted to be understanding. Maybe there was a shift change. Maybe our server was just generally busy. At about the twenty minute mark, I started flagging down servers, but was completely ignored. The manager (again, assumed) who was speaking to the table next to ours was wrapping up the conversation, so I decided that Id wait so that I could speak to them about our experience. However, even the manager skipped our table. At that point, I felt invisible and generally unimportant to the Sunny Street Cafe, so I looked at my wife and we decided that we should go elsewhere for our breakfast. Frustrated and unhappy with our experience, I did something that was completely out of character for me. I called the Sunny Street Cafe to speak to the manager, wanting them to at least be aware of our experience. I was then told that the manager was "not available." The employee that I spoke to on the phone seemed completely unconcerned towards our experience, almost to the point of her sounding rude. It seemed fitting that we had been ignored for a half hour while we were waiting, only to be ignored once again on the phone. Oddly, we were told to, "Have a nice day!" on the way out by a couple of employees, but what is interesting, is that it didnt raise any red flags to any of them that we had not paid (you pay at the counter, not at your table). Needless to say, we wont EVER be going back to the Sunny Street Cafe and would advise others to do the same.

While the food and the majority of of the servers are good at what they do, my experience working here was 100% negative. As soon as you walk in for your shift you are surrounded by a negative environment. If Rinzey, the owner, is not screaming at the kitchen or sitting at the counter criticizing the girls, the girls themselves are unhappy and talking behind each others back. There were many times that the kitchen was punished and yelled at while their wage was being held over there head. I cant count the amount of times I heard someone threaten to walk out because of the treatment they received. There is absolutely no development here. In the month that I worked here there were many instances where I would catch another server talking about not only me, but other servers as well instead of going to them with the issue to tell them how to fix it the next time around. The owner continuously hires so it is very clear that there is a somewhat high staff turnover in his restaurant. I have never met a man so disrespectful and careless towards his employees. The only thing this man cares about is his money.

Quite possibly the worst service Ive ever had!!! after our wait of 50 minutes on a Saturday morning, we finally recieved our food. I asked for hash browns well done and they came out barely cooked at all. When I asked for them for some new ones our waitress andrea said well arent they done enough for you? With an attitude. I kindly replied no so I sent them back to the kitchen and it took another 10 - 15 minutes to get them back at which that time my whole family was done eating. So I told them to just take em back. Over all a terrible experience. The resturant was way too crowded. Tables too close together and it seemed like no one knew what they were doing. Espically the black haired jersey shore guy behind the front counter. Food is over priced. Id rather go to waffle house then eat here again.

I went a little early so it wasnt very busy, maybe 10 customers total. The food was great, I had the hearty breakfast; eggs over easy, rye toast, hashbrowns and sausage patties. The sausage patties had a different texture but tasted good. I also had the cinnamon roll pancakes, amazing! I just barely ate half of all my food. What really earned the 5th star was Kelly my waiter. She wasnt over bearing while being tentative to me. Lite conversation, with no awkwardness. Shes pro military which is a plus these days. Kelly made the experience whole.

For those who have negative comments about Sunny Side..you truly need to give this restaurant another chance. The change of owners, cooks, additional servers, has given this restaurant a fresh new look & personality. Now,I will agree that the prices are higher, but talking w/ the servers & a,mgr/owner who actually extends his hand & talks to the customer(all, not a select few).Did I mention he also does coffee rounds & does bus tables. Its a really great place

I was seated quickly and my food came out quickly and as ordered. I took advantage of their pick two lunch special and tried the Southwest Turkey Sandwich and Spinach salad. Both items were fresh. I was only slightly bummed because I ordered the sandwich after seeing it on another persons plate and my "half portion" was infinitely smaller than her two halves of the sandwich. Not a huge issue, just a bit bummed.

Food was mediocre and worst than that is how they pack you in like sardines. Other customers and waitresses kept bumping into my chair and at one point I had to get up because a wheelchair wouldnt fit through. *Not complaining that I had to get up for a wheelchair but more concerned that if there was an emergency, that person wouldnt have been able to get out very easily.

Great food. And though the layout makes each table feel like you are in a smaller restraurant, that same layout does make it harder for the waitresses to get around as efficently (read timely) manner. But that little quibble is made up for by very plesant staff!

Ordered the veggie egg white omelet. I took one bite and that was plenty...it tasted awful. The rest of my breakfast was just barely edible. If you like bland, tasteless food then Sunny Street is the place for you. If not, go anywhere but here.

A nice place for breakfast of brunch, but the menu is kinda small. I loved the hash browns because they were extra buttery. The place is really bad for groups larger than 8 though. You cannot all sit together if you have more than 8.

Nice clean place. servers were all very nice, courteous fast, pleasant and professional. Food was great and prices were good. Waiting time was good also. We will recommend this place and be back when ever were in the area.
