I cant say the food was bad - but it wasnt to my liking. I ordered Shrimp Lo Mein with fried rice and a Shrimp Roll from the lunch special menu - and it came to little over $9 and included a drink OR soup. I took the drink. The diet soda fountain (only one variety of diet) was not working properly - but that was probably a temporary problem. The food was prepared quickly and the restaurant was clean - tables cleared and not sticky. The Lo Mein was OK - just not to my taste. The fried rice was clearly non-fried brown rice with a few veggies - which is probably way healthier than traditional fried rice - thumbs up to Golden China for that - but I didnt like it - (again - could just be me). The Shrimp roll had the greatest potential - it looked fantastic and I was hopeful, but I was disappointed - another item just not to my taste - I think it was the actual shell that I didnt like and it was very hollow on the inside - not enough ingredients. On the way out - I went to use the restroom and although I was the only one in the restaurant - it was locked. They had a sign on the front door discouraging non-patrons from using the restroom and although an employee could have been in there - I felt more likely it was locked to deter use by the public. I will not be returning - but given the mixed reviews - I think its a matter of personal taste. To me it was not traditional, expected, Chinese flavor - but others do seem to like it - so you might have to give it a try for yourself.

Pretty good Chinese food, on par with the others Ive tried in and around Columbus. I only started eating here in 2014 when they mailed out menus stating they have gluten-free options. My wife has severe Celiac and hasnt had any cross contamination when weve ordered her GF dishes. I eat gluten freely so its nice they pay attention to separation when preparing normal and GF dishes for the same order. Also, their crab rangoon is pretty full (mainly with the cream cheese, but it isnt mostly breading like other Chinese joints Ive eaten at). My only complaint is, while they have always been nice to us, Ive seen the manager snap at customers who didnt deserve it, and think they can work on their people skills a little. Once a HS aged kid came in and nicely asked about work and her terse response showed no appreciation or respect. She treated him like an idiot for even asking. I didnt see that coming...

I live 15mins away from this trashy restaurant. I ordered my food @ 9:50pm I was reminded they close at 10 by a woman taking my order. On my way there I received a call from the heavy set Caucasian woman @ 10:02 asking me was I still coming ? I responded to her obnoxious self with a attitude telling her Im two mins away. She said ok we will wait a couple more mins. My first thought was to turn around and go back home. Did she think I was going to drive faster ? If you have a problem with waiting for someone to pick up their food DO NOT TAKE ORDERS AFTER A CERTAIN TIME. When I get home it was disgusting. I paid $9.50 for their house lo mein. It had no flavor. If you want good Asian food go to lucky yee 5537 new Albany road, their house lo mein is flavorful and tasty. This place is tasteless. I will be sure to copy and paste this review on social media to let others know. #disgustingfood

There is a reason why I havent been to this poor-excuse of a Chinese restaurant....its crappy, poor-quality food! Ordered General Tsos Chicken lunch special, and all I got was very little chicken with minimal dried out sauce, "fried" rice that was not at all fried, just added food coloring and peas and carrots, and a side order of a shrimp egg roll that upon first bite, tasted like it was rotten and expired.....YUCK!!! plus it took more than 15 minutes to get my food. Im surprised that there are people here giving them 4 or 5 stars. Really, people? You obviously havent tasted good-quality food of any kind!!

Ive been searching for a good chinese place since moving to gahanna and this is it. Got sesame chicken, egg roll, and chicken lo mein. I have a particular way I prefer my sesame chicken and this place is great. Nice and crisp, tender, thick sticky sauce. Lo mein and egg roll were just standard and dropped the rating. They were by no means bad, just average and nothing memorable. The egg roll though was the first time ive ever had one not be greasy which was amazing. Everything tasted good and I will definitely be ordering many times in the future.

With a true gluten allergy, its hard to find places that are knowledgeable about their menu relative to gluten. I am here on business, not familiar with the local restaurants and this place was a great find. Completely knowledgeable on all dishes throughout their menu and if it was/was not GF and if it could be modified. They took it very seriously which I appreciated very much and made suggestions to fit my allergy and food preference. Will order from them again next time I am in Columbus.

I dont know who is eating here and expecting the food to be super authentic. Its affordable, convenient, and unless you are super picky about Asian food, its not bad. People complaining about the delivery are probably the same people who spend 20 minutes placing a Starbucks order with all the creams and sugars and syrups and drizzles, with a splash of espresso... then write a bad review because the temperature was off by a few degrees. 5 stars, because I have reasonable expectations.

I had ordered a dish with shrimp, they sent chicken. No sauce for wor sue gui. It was like a teriyaki. So they resent the order then proceeded to tell me that chow mein is a dish with crunchy noodle. LOL. The noodles you put into soup. It was gross. I gave one star for the egg roll they probably bought out of a grocery.

Lets cut to the chase... Its a pocket friendly joint, with decent Chinese cuisine. Well, one shouldnt complain about the ambience / authenticity if its coming to what you pay for it! Personally, me and my wife are quite a regular visitors out here and we kinda like the homely small joint with customizable menu.

Best crab ragoon Ive ever ate in my life it was perfect I ordered alot of food and started with the crab ragoon I was only gonna eat one but to my surprise it was so delightful I ate all five and got full on just that lol I guess the lo mein I ordered will have to wait till later ctfu!!

I have been coming here since high school. This is the best food and the best service I have ever had. The landlord really needs to fix the building though, its falling apart and the restaurant owners should not have to pay for structural issues.

I was expecting the food to be nasty however,it was very delicious. My date and I stopped by to get some food. I had tried other Chinese restaurants in town which had drove me to my pre judging conclusion . Boy was I wrong. Great job Gahanna!!
