This place is actually pretty decent. The inside if the building is beautifully decorated and the people we dealt with were nice. We ordered an appetizer along with 2 entrees and there was no chance of us actually finishing it. The portions are massive. The waitress was on point keeping our drinks refilled and the food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. Our entire visit there was about an hour. The food was good. It didnt taste too salty like youd like get from a fast food chain. The portions were big and everything was fairly simple. We got easily 4 meals worth of food for $30 and they give you complimentary chips and salsa along with a bean dip. There are also 3 hot sauces at every table in case you need a little more zing. Its not the most gourmet food youll ever eat, but its definitely worth what youll pay for it. Everything seemed clean and the atmosphere was fun but not ridiculous. Ill definitely be coming back here. I would recommend it for just about anyone, but I would also tell them to keep their expectations in check. Its not On The Border or some super fancy Mexican place. Its a bar and grill with reasonably priced food that doesnt taste bad. Plan accordingly.

Hands down the best Mexican food in Columbus that Ive had, and Ive had a lot! The salsa served before the meal is packed full of flavor and always fresh, and unlike any salsa at any other Mexican restaurant Ive been to...absolutely delicious. The food at this restaurant is simply on another level compared to other Mexican restaurants. The food always has outstanding flavor and is always fresh. They even hand make their tortillas from scratch. The menu is large and has many options as well. Ive not yet had a dish here that I wouldnt order again, and I happily make the 25 minute drive past a dozen other Mexican restaurants to go here frequently. Very happy I found this place!

After a long day at the Columbus Fair Grounds we wanted to grab something good to eat. After reading a few good reviews we dexided to give it a try. We had a group of 12 people. Upon entering....A young woman (who was sitting on a bench talking on her phone) rudely informed us that they were closing at 10pm. Not realizing the time, I asked what time it was. She replied you have 20 minutes. I asked what that meant. Did she not want to serve us? She rolled her eyes and said we had 20 minutes. We left and went to BJS restaurant & Grille. They welcomed us like we were family.

This has been a regular place for use for over a year now. We have always enjoyed the food and come back. The last time we ate here, we ordered takeout. After an additional trip to the restaurant, being corrected by the hostess for ordering my meal wrong and three tries, they finally got my meal right on the fourth try. Tonight, we gave them a final try. The food was bad, there was a bone in my wifes chicken, and again the order came from the kitchen incorrect. She immediately fixed it but too little too late. We wont be back. It was good while it lasted.

The food was just okay. Ive had much better authentic mexican food. We got a to-go order and they said it would be ready in fifteen minutes. I showed up at that time and had to wait at the hostess stand for a half hour until i got my food. They said that our order had gotten pushed back and we would have to wait. I dont know what kind of business would tell someone that their food would be ready in fifteen minutes but actually take them 45 but I will most assuredly not be coming back to this place. Waste of time and money.

This restaurant sucks because they over charge u and they dont give u any refund,so I am not gonna advise anybody to go this restaurant, because last time I send my wife over there and they over charged her and the girl at front she said when u come next time we will charge u less but today I send my wife again and she said we dont remember from last time what happen so be careful guys ,so dont waist ur money in this restaurant,they will over charge u and they not gonna give u any refund.

Best authentic Mexican food in Columbus. My friends and family go there all the time, its great for a quiet meal in the evening. In the afternoon and early evening I have seen larger groups for celebrations. I highly recommend ordering the beef and chicken taquitos appetizer, be warned that the portions here are huge. I also recommend trying the flour or corn tortillas, they are super thin and delicious. The staff are always friendly and the restaurant is kept clean.

Overall the food is good. However, I found a hair in the salsa and the waitress attempted to over charge. When she brought the bill out she charged $6.50 plus tax for the special that should have been $5.95. I noticed she charged my friend $10.95 for a meal that should have been $7.95. The waitress explained there is an additional charge for steak. However that is not stated on the menu. So how is anyone to know?

The seafood stew was amazing. My girlfriend and I nearly wrestled over the leftovers. The Chile Relleno was more like a relleno omelet, but it was very tasty. Chips and salsa were top notch. I cant wait to go back and try other dishes. :) This isnt the best in Ohio but I think it may be some of the best Ive had in Columbus. I think their business would thrive more if they had a better location though.

I ordered a veggie quesadilla as a take out order. When I got it home and looked at it, the menu description of what is supposed to come on it was completely different than what they put on it... They put carrots, broccoli stems and cauliflower on a quesadilla! It was supposed to come with mushrooms, onions peppers which I got none of. They close at 10, I tried calling them at 9:40 but they wouldnt answer.

This place is great! Look if you want awesome Mexican food, huge portions, and you actually like spice, this place is for you. Put it this way, my mom is from Southern California and always complained after eating at every Mexican restaurant we went to. After I moved to Columbus I introduced her to this place and she drives from an hour away to come enjoy their food, its that good!

We were raised in the west, California and New Mexico, and have had a hard time finding authentic Mexican food. Not anymore!! The verde sauce reminded me of hatch green chili, the portions are huge, and they stole my heart with homemade tortillas. The service was wonderful, very friendly and honest in her answers when we asked for advice. We will be back every chance we get!!

Dont let these neg remarks discourage you from trying it. My family and friends go here all the time... Its amazing. The flour tortillas have a wonder taste and are very very thin... Salsa and cheese dip are great. The fajitas are grilled NOT STEAM like other Mexican restaurants... We have tried all Mexican restaurants here in Columbus and this place by far the the best....
