Heres my review on groupon after going to eat twice using our groupon: The food is excellent! The service is not good! My fiance and I went on December 4th with her parents and on December 18th with my mother and step-father. We had the same waitress both times. She has no personality and dropped a fork (I believe on purpose) on my future father-in-law because he asked her for a takeout container. Everytime you asked her for anything she appeared to have an attitude. Also, my fiance asked for a takeout cup for a non-alcoholic strawberry daiquiri and the waitress stated that the restaurant didnt carry any takeout cups. My fiance had to ask two other waitresses and finally received a takeout cup. This was the second time and the only time we will go there to eat again unless its for a carryout. The food is so good!!!! Villas response: Sorry you did not like your service. But she was correct in telling you about the carry out cup,, we dont give carry out cups you were given a childs drink cup. I am glad that you like our food. My response: Wow! Im sorry but a childs cup would have been sufficient for my fiance to take her drink to go. Also, I informed Villa on the groupon review that the waitress was rude and no action was taken and didnt address my concern regarding the issue of the waitress being rude! Im extremely appalled!

best Italian restaurant for so many years favorite pasta with virgin oil and 12 jumbo shrimp along with I believe soup or salad the best wine selections personal service unlike Olive Garden it is less and expensive in the long run I think Ill visit there for me and my friends are all long overdue glad to be reminded one of my best friends is turning 60! time for us to go there sometime between now and the end of the week glad to see the Ville on there theyre fantastic and I wouldnt go anywhere else no one stays in business for a good 15 years without having great food whoever started off to acknowledge their excellence thank you for reminding me have a great night! post and toast.

Hidden Treasure...I drove by this restaurant for years thinking it was either a banquet or catering only business being that their is no door on Gratiot. After my wife convinced me to investigate further we found a Jewel in the area. Family owned since the 50s, Wonderful authentic Italian food, hit or miss wait staff...but have never had a meal that didnt exceed our expectations. The down side is that the walls are covered in large paintings of women in provocative settings. Being Christians (it bothers my wife...I just ignore them) but this keeps us from going more often.

Went there for our 20th wedding Anniversary the Service was great infact the hostess took the gift I had for my wife and set it up on the table before she seated us our waitress was great the food was hot and was big portions and because it was our anniversary they gave us dessert on the house the food in my opinion was better that Olive Garden sorry but it was and the portions was bigger and less money so go there had a great time with my wife even after 20 years so thanks and check out Villas

Am sitting in the restaurant as I am writing this. Service was good. Had Carbonera Villa. It was more like macaroni and cheese with about 8 small pieces of bacon ... not slices .... little pieces. I mean, it was disappointing. Not terrible mind you, but all I had was water with it ... no beverage of any kind. Came with salad which was ok. They gave me a bread basket. Overall, the whole meal was about a 5 out of 10. Cost me $14.83. I love me some Italian food. Today? Not so much.

Avoid this place! Nasty place to eat at! Insects all over, order eggplant parm. They cant even fry a fresh pc of eggplant to make it fresh. Food was "frozen" and probably microwaved. Eggplant was back and nasty! They been around 50+ yrs! The owner needs to go to a real authentic Italian restaurant " Luciano, Nona, silver spoon " thats authentic Italian food not nast TV dinner like this place! Save your time and dont go there!

Ive been going here since I was a child in the 70s....Simply the best Italian at the best price...you just dont stay in business as long as they have if you were doing something wrong. It is what my grandma made....not commercialized Italian. Any 1 stars you see here know Italian as Olive Garden or as the saying goes you cant please all the people all the time....they would be the ones who are always displeased.

The perfect Italian food for people who are looking for grandmas kitchen. It is purely comfort food! Service was wonderful and the owners come around to see if you are satisfied. My wife had lasagna and so enjoyed it. I had Veal Marsala. The veal was so tender it melted in my mouth!A must try is the Spumoni Cheese cake! Loved every bit of food from here and will come back again and again.

Why would you ever go to the Olive Garden down the street? Villa has tasty homemade Italian food for a bit less money. Ive eaten here about 10 times and have always been impressed, a great little place to go on a date. Decor is outdated but its charming anyways. I recommend this place regularly.

When I say real food, Im stating that this isnt re-frozen food. As other reviewers have said, "Its a great way to get away from the Chain Restaurants". The food is so fresh, and inexpensive. If you want a great dinner, and authentic food where you dont have to dress up, this is the place!

Very good, pleasant service. Food was good, but knowing the menu helps, so dont expect everything on it to be as good as the meatball sub. Atmosphere is pleasant and cozy, but not chill enough to put you to sleep. In general its a great place to go for a relaxed, personal evening

My absolute favorite Italian restaurant. Ive been eating here for years. Ive since moved out of state, but I still make sure to come eat at the Villa whenever Im in town. Wonderful food. I even order my old favorites that are off-menu now and they make them with no problem.

The Villa is a great place for some great Italian food. Youre sure to like what you order, and youre sure to like the bill. Highly recommended! P.S. Dont eat too much bread and or too many breadsticks so that you have room for your entree!

I guess I should have paid more attention to what this place actually was... Ive driven passed many times thinking they either werent open or only did parties. This will be my go to spot for Italian for years to come!!!

Simply orgasmic Italian cuisine! What really brought the meal together was the absolutely gorgeous dishwasher. Only complaint was that he was so handsome I couldnt concentrate on my food. 9.8/10 would swoon over again.
