Tabletop is one of three boardgame bars that I know of in North East Ohio. It has the largest collection by far. The location is well laid out and has plenty of tables for small or large sized groups. I went in the winter and was kind of disappointed by how cold the building was. The staff is particular about seating people at the smallest table that will accommodate the number of people you come with. The small tables are fine for a small board game or basic card game, but they might be problematic if you intend to play a game that is a bit on the large side. The draft beers are 6-8 dollars each so they are a little on the expensive side. They have a weekday happy hour that helps with that. If you are looking for better drink specials you might want to check out the Side Quest in Lakewood. They offer a membership card which reduces the cost of a visit down to 3.50 from 5.00. If you are going to be going a lot this will be a good deal. The first Wednesday of the month is an event where they encourage you to play with strangers which is nice and something that is lacking at one of the other area locations. Members get in for free that night so I expect attendance is pretty good. The overall experience is a positive one and I plan to go back.

You guys, this place is the JAM! If you love the idea of a place to socialize with friends that: A) Is not too loud. (This is a huge selling point for an introvert like me!) B) Offers a nice selection of healthy, affordable snacks in addition to alcohol. C) Gives you the chance to try out new board games and enjoy favorites with friends. D) Has a cool, laid back staff of friendly, fellow nerds. Well, then this is the place! I love everything about this concept and my friends and I had a wonderful time here on a (albeit very busy) Saturday night. Im glad we braved the long wait because we found a favorite new game (Pandemic!) and had so much fun that we stayed up past midnight for the first time in ages! (Were in our 30s, yall.) I cant recommend Tabletop any more highly! Ill be back with my gaggle geeky pals - perhaps during a more quiet hour - to discover some more great new games!

I had to be convinced to go to this place. I do love board games, but why cant we just play at home and drink my own drinks? I have to admit, this place is pretty great. First, they had what seemed like thousands of games to choose from. Second, the staff was really nice and very knowledgeable about games, and were able to recommend several games we would enjoy. We went in a group of 4 and had a blast. I went back a week later and took a date with me this time, shared a bottle of wine and played "Lost Cities" and "Jaipur" for hours. I found out they have a trivia night, which sounds like a blast. The staff seem excited to be there, the food is good (not your typical bar food, but dont expect Lola or Hyde Park), and good beer selection. Really glad we have this addition to Ohio City. Would recommend to anyone.

A fun and inviting atmosphere topped with beer, great games, good food, and even better service. for a modest $5 charge you gain access to a collection of approximately 1000 different board games, and a staff with a wealth of knowledge. I was impressed especially with Josh (one of the full time employees and not only his willingness and eagerness to teach these games to new customers but to have a knowledge base of about 300 of them on his own. This is a great place for any and all purpose, whether it be date night, game night for you and your buddies, or something to do with the kids in the afternoon. All in all I highly recommend this place and intend on stopping in much more often

Very cool concept, with a laid back atmosphere. Tabletop is a place where you come to play. Its board and tabletop games for adults and kids alike. There were families, teenagers and mostly young adults. Games are $5 and that grants you admission for the whole day. You can leave and come back if youd like; ideal for a quick excursion to Mitchells across the street. The staff are very nice, and encourage you to look around as much as you want first. And please do, there is so much to do here. They have every board game and card game you would ever need or any to play. The games are sorted by genre and levels of difficulty/complexity. It is so unique and I highly recommend all try it.

I love coming to Tabletop! Theyve got an incredibly diverse selection of games and even have a place for you to place your own suggestions. Tasty food and drinks for $$ prices, but cmon - the main reason you are here is to play board games with friends in an atmosphere full of other nerds/geeks/hipsters/etc. Staff interact with you as much or as little as you need; we were playing a very intense legacy game and were too focused on saving the world to notice much else! Parking can be a pain if you go during peak hours (or theres a parade on the street of the cafe....) but otherwise its great. Go here.

My gf and I just spent about 6 hours there on a Wednesday night. Some highlights, we both tried several different games that were suggested to us by this nice dude with a big ol beard. Every single suggestion he gave us was so much fun. It was a well spent 6 hours. Additionally, the happy hour beer specials were good as was the aeropress coffee. My only wish would be that the panini was a little bit better of a deal. It tasted good but I felt as though it couldve had more meat and maybe a tad bit warmer. I hope some of these pop up near me, because this is almost worth moving to Cleveland for

I had a fantastic experience my very first time here and would absolutely recommend anyone who has a few hours to kill go check it out. Its great for a group of friends or even a group of 2 people. Theres good games for all groups of people or if you dont have enough people, you are most likely able to find someone else whod want to play with you. The food is fairly expensive for what you get, but $5 for playing as many board games as you want is definitely worth paying a little extra for the food. This is certainly a restaurant that I can find myself returning to on numerous occasions.

5$ per person to play, questionable and quite expensive food you can make at your home just mixing random ingredients. Decent beer selection but the fact that they cant pair glasses with each beverage tells everything about their poor beer knowledge. The place is cute and located in the heart of Ohio city. You can find several games but for 5$/person you can definitely go to a store, buy a game (and alcohol) go home and play as long as you want with your friends. Service is slow and not friendly whatsoever.

Great hiddem gem in Cleveland, its five dollars to sit and play the games. We ordered a smoothie and a drink to be polite, although I think they want you to sit and eat. We played quite a few games. They have old games and new games and even a whole kids section in the very back. The seating is relaxed and positioned so you are not right on top of other peole. There is a little bar area to sit at as well. With over 1,000 games to choose from, surely youll find the perfect one!
