Well if you like to drink and like the chips with the blanco sauce this is your place. I like the location and view BUT.... we need to work on the food. Please Please Please get a Mexican in there and let them cook! The rice tastes how my Grannys perfume smells (horrible) and I have no clue how it could even pass for anything South of the border or border with Mexico... just bad. Another hint is that when you serve Carne Asada, please bring it out with corn tortillas...even flour if need to be, but to wait for them the food gets cold! The carne asada was good in flavor but wasnt stellar. You need to get a Mexican in there to cook some food as i think you have an identity crisis, you look like an upscale modern Chipotle restaurant with class, but the food is sub par. Also the first visit, I waited on the patio for over an hour though the said they called and left a message on my phone which I did not get and showed the hostess. The blond medical student waitress kept my wife and I with cold drinks and conversation so we were OK with it (she did a great job). The second time was a party of 10 that I took a business associate and family out while visiting CLE and I noticed there was no kid menus (we had 3 with us). I will be back in the Spring and Summer to have some chips and drinks on the patio, but until the menu is upgraded I dont believe I will be back for dinner. My Hispanic wife said she would volunteer for free to help you with making some rice if you need it. I love the location and atmosphere, service was OK, food was OK but not anything that says I will come back for a stellar meal... BTW the rice was nasty if you havent figured it out yet. Let me know if you change some things up and I will be back sooner to give it a round 3. Also the first time around I ordered the carne, I asked for some poblano peppers with it and they grilled some up no problem, second time they were not cooked but it was not part of the menu description so I did not hold it against anyone but myself for not being clear. Also parking should be free!

Visited last night and was unfortunately disappointed with several aspects. We had a reservation and were promptly seated on the second floor due to a group event on the main level. We had heard great things and were excited about the food and drinks but found both to be underwhelming. We ordered a carafe of the classic margarita and it was bland and weak. Ordered house guacamole and queso to start - the guacamole came out quickly and was excellent as were the accompanying tortilla chips. However, the queso had still not arrived after we finished the guac so we had to flag down our server and were told she would bring it out immediately and told us the delay was because she would "get in trouble" if she put the order in too soon. We were not in a hurry but that sounded like an odd explanation. For our entrées our party found the peach habanero quesadilla and camote con pina burrito to be excessively spicy after asking the server and being told they were only mild or moderately hot - as a result neither entrée was finished. I had the mahi tacos al pastor which were bland and had a poor amount of mahi compared to the pineapple slaw. I had to request a side of sour cream to add some flavor. Throughout the evening, service was lacking as in addition to our delayed appetizer, a bowl of soup was never delivered nor was an additional carafe of margaritas. We ended up cancelling both items as the wait was not worth it. One of the entrees was served only with a side of rice although beans should have also been included. It was a beautiful venue and has a lot of potential but has a lot of opportunity to improve both the service and meal quality.

My mom and I had a reservation, but showed up 20 mins early. They had a table right by the window that was open and they seated us there fast, which was awesome. The restaurant is pretty, views outside are great. It was pretty crowded but not too too long on the food. I would wait for food if it was going to be good. They dont give you chips & salsa free like most Mexican restaurants. The queso was $7 and bland and curdling after awhile. I had shrimp tacos for around $15 and disappointed they dont have any hardshells. So they bring out the food and my shrimp looked like it had so much potential and like the cheesy sauce on them would be so good, but there was no taste. I remember specifically telling my mom how shrimp should smell and taste sort of fishy and these were bland. You wouldnt know you were eating shrimp, but by the texture. When I got a to go bag, I was thinking about how I would take it and my rice & beans home and put some seasoning on them so it doesnt go to complete waste. They did however give me a nice size cupcake muffin for my bday, which was free. So that makes up for the chips & salsa and the muffin was really good. My waiter was really awesome and fast though, through all the things we were asking for. He was very great and friendly and everything was correct, just flavorless. We said a few times at the table that we would not go back, which is really unfortunate because its a beautiful place.

We had an excellent dinner at Nuevo. We had reservations for 7PM on a Saturday night and we were seated promptly. We would have liked the second floor but they had a private party going on - good to know they have a room available. We ordered the three types of guac (1. Habanero Jelly 2. Escabeche Corn Fresnos, Poblanos and 3. Cucumber, Mint, Cotija Cheese) with chips, all three were very good but we liked the corn one the best. We also were very impressed with the tequila list - we decided to try the Three Amigos, where you get three shots (1/3, 1/3, and 1/3) of three different types of tequila. The brand we tried was Espolon - very good and I actually went and got some the next day! That was excellent and so much fun! Our waiter suggested the brand and seemed very knowledgeable about the tequila brands. We then order full shots of the brand to get more of a tasting. Dinner was very good - carnitas substituted with the Polenta Roja and Huitlacoche Spoon Bread and the second entrée was the Pan Roasted Airline Chicken Breast, Sweet Corn and Truffle Flan, Wild Mushrooms, Charred Heirloom Tomatoes, Cumin Chicken Jus. The portions were large and very filling, we didnt have room for dessert! Really enjoyed dinner and looking forward to returning.

All these people that left a star greater than 1 are liars. This one star is strictly for location of the restaurant itself. Service is very slow so do not expect to be going anywhere anytime soon if you decided for some unknown reason to test out this restaurant. Went in with a party of 7 people and 2 of the orders were incorrectly made. One (chicken burrito) was fixed rather quickly while the other member of the group had to sit and wait extra time for his tofu/vegetable burrito.Maybe they had to go harvest the vegetables and freshly make the tofu, but mostly not. The manager came over to the table two times. One to first correct the orders and the second as a follow up to make sure everything was going okay with the table, even though a member did not receive their food. Nothing was done to help the issue at hand. The manager seemed like a teenager(at best) who does not know how to manage the servers/kitchen/floor when confronted with this issue. It was as if he was clueless as how to go about fixing the issue and making sure the customer was happy so they would not write a review that would disgrace their restaurant. Will not be going back anytime soon and will be spreading the word of the terrible service.
