My boyfriends mother used to bring him here all the time when he was a child. His grandmother worked here for several years, too. Unfortunately, they have both since passed away. After years of craving the meal he once shared with his mother, we decided to finally visit. The smells and the atmosphere made him remember those sweet memories again, it made me so happy to see him this way! The portions here are huge and well worth the price! They also offer a variety of dipping sauces to compliment your meal. Unfortunately, our service wasnt the greatest... our waitress was very rude from the start. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt as i understand waitressing can be stressful! Perhaps she had a bad day? However, another family sitting near us noticed our waitress being rude and made a comment to us that shes been rude to other families several times before.

The last time my husband and I ate at Hopocan Gardens, the chicken was small scrawny pieces of chicken. The breading had more substance than was there meat. The french fries were double deep fried - black, hard and greasy. I was completely disappointed in the meal as in times past, it was my favorite Barberton chicken place to eat. Belgrade Gardens may cost a bit more, but you get big, succulent pieces of juicy chicken (love their breading) and the french fries are always fresh. YOU DO GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! Never again....

Great service. Our waitress (Kay, I think her name is) was an absolute sweetheart. My favorite part of our experience is when she sat down at the table with us to take our order and to answer questios. My folks were not a fan of the food/fried chicken. I think thats really hit or miss though: you either like it or dont. When in doubt, get it grilled.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Chicken has no flavor, its soft...even though its fried?? I dont get it either. The supposed hot sauce was unimpressive. Purchased a 12 piece after hearing about Barberton chicken and reading other reviews. Wish I hadnt. A complete waste of money. My wife wont even eat it so Im frying some tilapia right now. Baddddd!

Been going here for 25+ years, past 2 times had carry out and was really dissapointed, the hot sause sucked and the fries tasted like they were dropped on the floor, very gritty! You dine in and its excellent. Sorry Hopocan not happy!! Oh yeah...the chicken you are famous for also tasted like dirt!

Once we got seated it was great. People were seated before us that came in after us. The food was very good. Waitress was also very good. I just think the hostess needs more training. Also she might not want to be eating her food in front of customers that are waiting to be seated

Absolutely terrible service. Server was rude. Gave us attitude for not knowing what we wanted to order. Brought bread to the table that was not very fresh. The chicken was really good but beyond that, Not impressed. Fairly certain the mashed potatoes were out of a box.

My wife and I ate lunch here today. I had chicken paprikash and she had Cabbage Rolls and a side of cabbage, noodles and onions. I knew Als had good Hungarian / ethnic food, but I didnt know it would be THIS GOOD!!! What a gem.

This was my and my husbands first visit. The service was excellent and the food and sides were very tasty and abundant. Must have doggie bag due to so much food. Will definitely be back! Was seen on New Day Cleveland.
