My family has been eating here for well over 30 years and, after today, will not be back!!!! We sat down and, as we were waiting to order, we saw a RAT scamper across the floor. We immediately told our waitress who went to look for it & by her scream, I am pretty sure that she found it. 15 minutes after our food was served, the owner came over, NEVER apologized for the RAT, but pleading his case that they have never had a rodent issue. My husband showed him his chicken.....that was bloody raw....again, no apologies. My husband obviously didnt want anything else...he was done. My chicken....bloody raw and the owner "graciously" adjusted just 1 piece of chicken from our bill (REALLY?!?!), my sister in law ordered grilled chicken that had no flavor at all. When my brother went up to pay for my sister in law and himself, he told the owner how dissatisfied they were with her dinner. THE OWNER REPLIED "come on, really? If you would have complained because of the rat, I can see that but her dinner was fine." My husband goes up to pay our bill and THE OWNER kept telling him how the pressure cookers that fries the chicken is on a timer and that we would not have gotten sick by eating OUR RAW chicken!!!!!! He tried to give us gift certificates to come back.....NO THANK YOU!!!!!!! We will be calling the health department first thing Monday morning!!! So sad....this used to be an amazing place to go!!! The new owner has no business being in the food industry!!!! Just a side note...I gave one star because I was required to select something....in reality...this restaurant is worthy of negative a million stars!!!!! Diners beware!!!

Been going there for over 40 years, went there today with my nephew and asked the waitress Cindy if they changed the chicken cause it tasted different, she didnt answer me so we got a doggie bag and i took mine home for my cats, long story short all i had in my purse for a tip was $1.00 and Cindy the waitress came out to my car and threw it in my window, cause i asked her why their chicken tasted different, i called the New owner and he said to me well you were complaining about the chicken is probably why she threw the money back at you and he laughed at me!!!!! I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN, THE OWNER WAS RUDE AND THE WAITRESS CINDY HAS BEEN THERE FOR 30 YEARS THE OWNER SAID AND SHE HAD A GOOD FOLLOWING, I DONT CARE HOW MUCH OF A GOOD FOLLOWING SHE HAS IF I WAS THE OWNER I WOULD HAVE FIRED HER ON THE SPOT, IT IS BAD ENOUGH THE CHICKEN HAS CHANGED IN TASTE AND THE PRICES ARE SKY HIGH, BUT TO HAVE YOUR MONEY THROWN IN YOUR CAR AT YOU IS UNACCEPTABLE PERIOD.

Terrible carryout food. Meat of chicken tasted firm, like twice cooked or old; hot sauce & cole slaw YUCK; fries glued together with grease. Terrible customer service, not welcoming, no smile to greet customer. Called next day to speak with owner, he said "unfortunately thats the type of food that comes with carryout, its never as good as at the restaurant" then said have a good weekend and hung up on me. No wonder that parking lot is always a ghost town!!! Wow. Businesses nowadays need to be very strategic in operations, social media can run you right out of town! Years ago 1 unhappy customer might reach out to a handful of people, today 1 unhappy reaches HUNDREDS+ of people in just SECONDS; ).

Update to review: Milichs was my fav Barberton chicken house overall. The new owner still keeps messing with it so its hit or miss when you go there. Grease isnt changed as often, but then they dont sell as much. If they would focus on consistency, their reputation could rebound but the owner just doesnt get it.... Changes ruining it. Have been going here since I was a child. New ownership has changed things for the worse. Chicken comes out darker and greasy, Cole slaw is now prepackaged bitter chopped mess like a KFC with diff dressing, hot sauce is bland, portions are smaller. Sad to say I wont be back.

Having grown up in nearby Canton our family had a restaurant while I was growing up. One of their friends also had a place called Green Gable in what is now The City of Green. It was the 1st restaurant I ever went to other then the familys. I always wanted to try Barberton style chicken and much to my delight, it was every bit as good as the chicken at Green Gable. You cant go wrong at Milichs Village Inn. I highly recommend it and bring your appetite.

Great food and excellent catering for Barberton or Norton events. My grandpa used to say that people came from miles and miles away to eat the chicken here. When he passed away last week, we decided to honor him by hosting a large lunch banquet here after the funeral. The manager, Scott, was a pleasure to work with, the food was delicious, and the service was excellent. Highly recommend them as a caterer for any events in the Norton or Barberton area.

Used to be a place I looked forward to. Bow hands have changed and the new policy is you get seated. Get drinks. Wait for you food. The waiter ignores you till then. Management called its customers garbage and said we would be back. Nope. I will not be bringing my grandmother nor anyone I know back. Thanks for the hour and a half a wait despite being the only people in the building.

I have be going here for over 20 yrs its still by far my favorite place to eat when i was in the marine corps stationed at camp Lejeune my boys in 3/10 kilo battery would pay me to bring village in chicken back when I came home on leave. This place is not for healthy eaters but damn it its fantastic.

Had gone several times under the previous owners. This time several of us went for Saturday lunch at 11:30. Not many there yet so service was fast. Everything was good but the chicken has a slightly different taste now. Maybe one extra ingredient. They do serve beer now.

Horrible! I will never go back to this one! They overcharged me on my dinner and on my to go! So, maybe this is how they are staying open by over charging people! The hot sauce and the Cole slaw recipe has been changed! Awful! The waitress was rude and inattentive!

This is the first time Ive been there in 4 years& the anticipation of their hot rice was genuinely strong. What a HUGE disappointment. I paid $15 for 2 qts & I was soooo sad. ☹️ They closed and reopened & possibly that is the problem.

My parents took me here every Sunday as a child, now I take my children and grandchildren. Portions are smaller now than back in the day, but I love the chicken and hot sauce! Cant beat it. Pricing isnt to bad for the economy

Best chicken ever!! Love the hot sauce and it is the only Cole slaw I will eat. I have been going here for 42 years. My grandparents had their first date there and my parents went there on their first dinner date.
