I wanted to like this bar... its very cozy and had a fun atmosphere - but the service was BEYOND TERRIBLE! I have had some bad experiences, but this takes the cake. Three of us went to Three Lyons, sat down, and waited literally 10 or 15 minutes for someone to help us. One server was at least serving other tables, but the other was sitting on a stool at the bar talking to her friend! We even waved at her to get her attention, to no avail. The other server approached tables near us, but never came. We finally ordered drinks from the bartender and opened a tab. Ten minutes later we went up again to the bar to ask for menus as our waitress was still ignoring us! We even had to make our order with the bartender and finally asked if we have a waitress... to which he replied, "Well yeah, hasnt she been over there?" UH.... NO! FINALLY after we ordered with him, the lazy waitress that had been sitting at the bar brought our silverware and ketchup caddy over only to say one thing... "Only three of you?" UH... YEAH! & theres been only three of us for the last hour while you ignored us! Ridiculous! That was the only time she came to our table ...after that I think she just gave up on every table except for one filled with all guys. I guess thats where her priorities lie while shes at work - flirting. We were given the other waitress, who was a little bit more attentive, but our experience was already tarnished. By the time we left, our initial waitress was still sitting at the bar with a beverage, periodically digging through her purse. The only table she checked on was the one filled with guys. Maybe she was off the clock? Then maybe take off your uniform and stop waiting on ONE table! The worst part is that no one else that worked there seemed to care that this server was slacking the entire time! I have never seen anything like it... over all, the drinks were good, food ok, and service... AWFUL!

Yeah, I think that it is ridiculous that they run a "test" charge of $25.01 on your card when you start a tab even though your means of payment may be cash in the end. I actually ended up getting an overdraft charge cuz it crossed with my end of the month bills. I called the guy and told him that they charged my card for $25.01 - we paid cash in the end and the bill was under $20 (although we gave the gal $25 to cover her tip too)! He said that it only stays on for a day or two, which was bs cuz it was on there for a week. Now I never start a tab there, and I make sure to tell everyone my experience. The service still sucks, but is s-l-o-w-l-y improving. I still return though cuz it is close to where I live, the pizza and burgers are good, and the bartenders are cool for the most part.

DO NOT bring your children to this so-called "family-friendly" restaurant. 2 times Ive gone there and 2 times Ive been scolded about some "rules" that my kids werent following -- like they cant touch the dart board and they cant sit on the couch.??? I can understand if my kids were being unruly but they werent. This place needs to decide if they want kids there or not. If so, they need to relax a bit. Dont let them fool you, FAMILIES are NOT welcome here!

They have great Irish food and everything is made fresh from scratch. If you take one thing from this review TRY THE BEER CHEESE SOUP. Either the soup (with awesome homemade croutons) or the large soft pretzel that comes with soup ad a dipping sauce. The atmosphere is cozy and the noise volume is remarkable low. Great place for a date or business meal, because you can talk to the other person without screaming.

Much better now that it is smoke free. Food makes as much of a nod to pub fare as you can get in the midwest. I had the sirloin tips (tough), my wife the shepherds pie. Very good beer selection, my favorite Boddingtons on tap, as well as Smithwicks, Guinness, Blue Moon, and pub cider. My wife had a snakebite, quite to her tastes. Conclusion: it aint Brits Pub yet, but not too shabby for the frozen north.

The food is mediocre, which isnt necessarily bad for British comfort food, but its way too expensive for mediocre food. I had the fish and chips. The breading on the fish was soaked through with grease like the oil temperature was too low. The chips brought me back to high school lunch. For $12, I dont want to be reminded of school lunch.

Nothing to write home about. Pretzel & beer cheese appetizer was not very good. Food was OK. Mashed potatoes & gravy everyone raves about in the reviews was very salty.. the mashed potatoes are served in a bowl with an ocean of gravy over them... so I suggest asking for the gravy on the side.

Service sucks. Food was alright but far too greasy. Beer options are limited and their specials basically extend to Bud and Miller Lite. Part of their drink menu is dedicated to mixed beers (e.g. Blue Moon + Guinness, ew). I guess its passable by the low standards of West Fargo rednecks.

I love going to Three Lyons with friends and family, they have great food and drink specials! Love the atmosphere and staff, for the most part is very friendly! Only reason for a 4 star rating is that the service is sometimes slow. (Depending on your server) but over all great place!!

I frequently visit Three Lyons, often once or twice a week. Their staff is friendly and efficient, and they easily have some of the best food and drinks in town! Monday and Thursday nights they host trivia for local team and for general public to enjoy. Its always a ton of fun!

Great place to catch "football" games and hangout . Friendly staff and good food. Shout out to the chef for the food especially the Wellingtons and Shepards pie which are great. Reminded me of when I was in London.

I wanted to pay cash for our food and drinks. We had to pay ahead of time. Thats crazy before the food or beverages even arrive. Food was ok. Hamburger and fries and pizza. Service nothing to write home about.

Great prompt service. Had burgers fries and mashed potatoes with gravy . Burgers tasted fresh not frozen. Crispy fries and yummy mashed potatoes and gravy. Would definitely recommend it.

My favorite place in Fargo for British fare. Good food, reasonable prices, and a large beer selection. Service can be a little slow, even during off hours.
