I am from New York and of Chinese decent, so I am generally bias about Chinese take out, you know the American stuff. And this was my second order with them in hopes the last time I ordered they were just to busy or something. Also my fiancee is jewish, and jewish people love themselves some chinese take out... but not this one... (lol?) Anyways I was really excited when they claimed to be NY STYLE take out since NC Chinese food kinda blows. After waiting a fairly long time the food finally arrived. It was extremely disappointing. Food is VERY bland, and this has nothing to to with no MSG, they just dont season anything properly. I mean its not overly greasy like other take-outs but *beep* it just is flavorless at a point. Granted they happen to be the only take out near hanes that will deliver to your store in the mall if you are starving and have a convenient web order. Also the lady who delivered my food was really nice at least. I mean, it is EDIBLE, just dont expect it to taste like ancient Chinese grandma cooked it.

Worse place. I ordered my food at 12:52pm and was told 10 to 15mins. It is 2:57pm and still no food. Called three times and got the message of "5mins hes around the corner". Still no one or nothing. Not even a call to say Im running behind. Then on the last call, the person who has the phone gets an nasty attitude because I am asking what is going on. That is has been 2hrs and still no food but they have already charged my card for the food. She then tells me again 5mins when I can clearly hear the driver on the speaker phone telling her 10mins out. But she proceeds to tell me yet again 5mins when she knows she lying. I tell her nevermind cancel my order and refund me my money. She say ok. O ask when was money going to be refunded and she says "i dont know boo" and hangs up the phone in my face. I call back and she answers by saying "whaaaat?" and told her she dodnt have to be rude because I wasnt rude her. She then began yelling, I then released the call myself. Worst ever!

So I knew this place wasnt rated very well before I ordered from them. But I am determined on my quest to find decent General Tsos in winston-salem. Of the 3 locations I have tried so far, all of them have been bad, and this has been the worst. The chicken is soggy, not very crispy, and in a sauce that has a distinctly bad flavor, it also comes with about 3 pieces of broccoli while it is supposed to be almost 1/3 veggies. It isnt even the usual sugary mess most places give me, its more of a flavorless soup that tastes kinda like unfinished baked goods. The rice is also distinctly not great. Grainy oaty flavor to it indicative of bad quality/poorly prepped rice. Proper General Tsos should have a crispy, flavorful crust with broccoli in a delicious spicy only slightly sweet sauce with peppers, ginger, and chilies. No where in Winston-Salem thus far has had anything acceptable.

The food is very good, I have been here a lot of times and they always get my food right, I dont know what others are trying to say about getting the wrong order, some of you guys probably ordered wrong, check the menu one more time before you order, if you are wrong admit you are wrong. you are just denying it because you are embarassed not to mention that these people are like us too, and in the world there is not just ONE customer, there are multiple! Stop trying to rush them, they are trying the best they can but you guys dont have patience! If you are going to go around and talk smack about this place you need to rethink because I am a satisfied customer and I take into consideration that they are normal human beings they arent robots. That is all I have to say. I love Peking chinese restaurant.

Worst place to work for or order food from, everything at this restaurant is touched by hands the people that work there never wash their hands the cooks have no problem with dropping food on the floor and putting it back into your order Ive witnessed this numerous times all utensils havent been cleaned in months some years and are exposed to the food customers order...overall this place is very unsanitary there is a reason they have the lowest stars review in the Winston Salem area this review is not because Im angry or trying to be negative its to make people aware of what they are paying there money for...from what Ive seen I dont know how this place is still open... and if you have a complaint good luck getting your money back they rather argue with you

I use to love this take out restaurant we have been going there and ordering for the last few years BUT since NOV 2015 things changed I dont know if they have new owners or what. The rice no longer has a lot of onions or much of anything in it. It is now very tasteless and bland. Tonight we ordered boneless spare rib combos for delivery and they delivered bbq rib platters. I called and a good english speaking guy passed the phone to what might be the owner and he basically said if I wanted him to fix it I had to drive there. So I have already paid a delivery fee and now you want me to get in my car and go to get my food after they messed up. No Thanks I will never go there again I will find a better place for my family to order from.

I ordered a meal for dinner from Peking around 4:00 pm (I was anticipating the previous delivery time of more than one hour) once, and I received my meal more than four hours later, after I had gone to a different restaurant for dinner. My meal was not even lukewarm, and nothing was said by Peking regarding the delay. I also tried calling the restaurant several times (using its online-listed number), and I was only answered by a voice recording saying that the phone line was bad. You could go to a grocery store, buy healthy ingredients for a Chinese-food dish, and learn how to cook that dish very well with the time and money required to receive a mediocre Peking meal.

I personally have no complaints about the food. However, the service of this place is absolutely appalling. Every time Ive called, theyve hung up on me before getting my credit card information, and Ive had to call them back just so I could pay for my order. Their deliveries on a week night have taken up to an hour and a half, and when I called to complain that my food wasnt here yet, I was greeted with an attitude and had to hear the person working the phone yell at the other employees for an extended period of time before asking me where I was even at. And if Id actually ORDERED. Definitely finding a new place for Chinese.

Wish I give a lower score. I normally dont write reviews but, my experience with them was something I had to warn ppl of. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE. They took more than an hour and a half to deliver my food. When I called to check the status of my delivery, they couldnt give me any specifics on the time he would arrive or location. They kept saying, "hell be there soon." I didnt start calling until an hour in and its only 2.4 miles from where I stay. The last time I called the girl who answered laughed when I asked how much longer it was going to be. Their customer service and reliability sucks.
