If I could get away with 0 stars I would. After hearing great reviews from locals we decided to go here instead of going to our favorite restaurant Chefs Table two doors down. BIG MISTAKE. The service was horrible and our table was served their food at two different times. Half the table got their food and completed eating before the other half even got theirs. With a very promising menu and higher prices we were expecting much more than what was actually delivered. I ordered the meatloaf and it tasted like straight bread and was as dry as cardboard. Three other people were not satisfied with their meals either and no one came and checked on us after the food was delivered to see if everything was okay. We finally got a hold of our server and explained what was going on. She had nothing to say to us and the manager who was all around the restaurant helping out never once acknowledged us. In fact she avoided us completely and let our poor server to try to deal with the situation. While I wasnt looking for a free meal or a comp I was looking to talk to the manager about things. From beginning to end the dining experience was horrible. I will never eat here again. If you are looking for an amazing meal head to the Chefs Table!!!

Creative fusion farm to table kitchen in the little town of Waynesville, NC. Decent but not extensive wine list - menu groupings are a bit confusing. Food is, overall, excellent, but is worked through with intense flavors and combinations that might not be to everyones taste. Dont come here looking for the typical burger, fried chicken, Porterhouse steak with baked potato - this in not that place. Picky eaters may have difficulty. Flavors are so intense and unusual this restaurant could use wine and beer pairing suggestions as most of the food will run over the many beverages you might usually choose. Palate cleansers between many intense courses would be a good addition to their offerings. Over two visits we had the grilled meatloaf, scallops, trout and pork chop entrees along with a hush puppy appetizer, a romaine Caesar salad, and an ice cream dessert that featured salted caramel (delicious) and a cranberry mustard (weird and interesting but good). Come looking to be adventurous, not for comfort food.

This restraunt looks beautiful inside. I was so excited to try it. My friend and I split our meals with each other. I tried the French dip sandwich and the lamb sandwich. The French dip was awful. You couldnt even dip the sandwich into the sauce, which added little to no flavor to the very dry meat. The lamb sandwich tasted really good but it was absolutely tiny, which was surprising for a $14 sandwich, which I was splitting with someone. Those things wouldnt have been too big of a deal if the service wasnt so slow. There was barely anyone there but we ended up spending nearly a hour and a half waiting for things to come out. The sweet potato fries were really good though. If you like small, over priced portions, with slow service but a cool atmosphere, this place is for you. They had a bar area so, Id probably only go back for snacks or drinks.

Dont bother eating here. Front desk reception is rude and doesnt care about customer service. Our most recent experience with showing up at 2:15 and waiting three minutes for the maître d to show up at which time he said we stopped taking people into to seat them at 2:15. He showed up at 2:18. No apologies. The restaurant sign says they close at 2:30 PM. While I understand they may not want to have people coming at the last minute. We did arrive on time albeit somewhat later in the afternoon. Dont bother eating here. Front desk person offered no apologies. Im glad Im not the owner of this restaurant. We will never come back!!! Not ever. We will be sure to tell all of our friends and other conference attendees and meeting organizers to not bother with this restaurant. They are not interested in customer service at the slightest.

Delishious food, incredible service, friendliest of staff, excellent atmosphere. Lost 1 star due to portion size. As a born and bread North Carolinian boy who has roamed the state from mountain slopes to sandy beaches many times over I know home grown food like the back of my hand and this meets and exceeds my expectation on flavor and quality. At the same time it disapoints on quantity. My parents and grandparents would be very disapointed in my judgement for spending so much for so little return. While it taste like something my grandmother made in her kitchen with all the love in her heart, she would have done it for half the price and double the amount.

Service and atmosphere were outstanding. But a restaurant is nothing without good food so I must give it a 1 star, would give it zero if I could. The food was overly greasy and the chicken, sausage and shrimp were heavily over cooked. It seemed that the chef was being asked to cook dishes he is not prepared/skilled to make. We trusted the reviews on this site. I would have liked to know that the food was not worth the trip or money and tried somewhere else local. *we did not complain to staff or management about our issues with the food. Would not reccomend, would not visit again, would reccomend anywhere else.

Tried to go last night and was informed that they had nothing available. Called the number and the receptionist said that they did have availabilities. I told the receptionist that that was contrary to what they had stated earlier when they saw us in person. Either Jim Crow is back or they did not like that we had small children. When I confronted the manager, she was quite rude and said "What do you want? I have to get back to my position." I would encourage everyone in Waynesville who has small children or cares about people of color having equal rights not to eat at this establishment.

OMG. This place exceeded all expectations! Went with my family for an early reservation on a Saturday night. We were seated quickly and our server Neville was the epitome of professionalism. Very knowledgable on the wine menu and helped us select the perfect bottle. The food was AMAZING. Truly some of the best weve had. I had the trout and Im *still* thinking about it weeks later. Really really good. We split a dessert that was equally as good. We talked about that meal for days to come! It really was an exceptional treat and well 100% be back.

Fantastic service from our waiter Neville. His recommendations were spot on! Atmosphere was nice. We arrived before our reserved time and was accomodated. The crowd came in as we dined, and the noise level got a tad bit, but we anticipated this atmosphere and welcomed it. The Devils on Horseback was a nice starter accompanied by my adult beverage, the Kooler. The sirloin tip was amazing and the pecan crusted trout OMG....gotta go, my Bourbon Vanilla Pecan Pie just arrived!

Amazing... first time there... had the pork belly tacos and truffle parm fries... everything was amazing. Meticulous presentation ... fair prices although mid-high range. Well worth it. Will definitely be returning as I had a hard time choosing what to get because everything sounded amazing. Front of the house was stellar too... it might have been the first time it didnt feel forced when they came to ask if everything was to our liking. This place is a must visit!
