My father used to shoe horses on the weekends for a little extra money and the locals raved about this bar to him some thirty plus years ago, so Ive been going to the Adair Bar every few months or so since I was born. Its a bit of a hike for me, and it can get a bit expensive, but its worth it. I take anyone from out-of-town here to try the fresh lake Perch as a "must-taste" local cuisine of the metro-Detroit area: its that good. The bar has a fun, hole-in-the-wall atmosphere that can be extremely loud, but dont let the mounted-animal-clad walls fool you: the Perch this place pumps out on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays far surpasses anything you will find in a five star, or coat and tie restaurant, and is (and I say this with absolute confidence) the pinnacle of great lakes culinary splendor.

They dont take credit or debit cards, but for your "convenience" they have an ATM which they own and charge a $1.50 fee to use, they do this to avoid having to pay fees for swiping cards. Which is usually no more than 2% of the pucrchase price. The only good thing is that this place doesnt charge any extra money for the hair in your food or the dirty drink glasses.

No debit cards, cash only. What century is it? An the ATM didnt work! Had to drive back to gas station at the freeway to find one that worked. Was told the menu states the policy but they never showed us the menu. Look at way we are dressed, do you really think we are locals? Brass Rail facade was cool though.

Im not a fish person but the perch dinner was excellent. Great atmosphere and reasonable drink prices. If you have some time, stop by on Fridays, get the fish dinner. Saturdays are $1.75 hamburgers from 11:30 am till 4 pm.

Perch is only served on Friday and Saturday after 4pm. I must say hands down is the best Perch I have had in my entire life. Absolutely delicious. Yes, I do keep going back for it. Yum yum. Its a must try for sure.

I love it here - the fish is my favorite. A little loud on Friday nights so I go for afternoon. Send all my clients there to check it out. Adair Bar is a real support to the communities it surrounds as well.
