We were in Hendersonville as tourists and Cocula was just 5 minutes drive from the airbnb. So we decided to go there for dinner after a long day and boy are we glad! The place is cheerful and fun looking inspite of being a wee bit cramped. The service was friendly and efficient. The complimentary hot and crisp tortilla chips were on our table instantly. Now here is the best part - they have a salsa bar with a so many different kinds that you can help yourself to! Please be warned that the spicy ones are really spicy (and Im an Indian with high spice tolerance level!). They almost made us cry, but were oh so delicious that we kept at it anyway! :)) All the food we ordered was also delicious and the Margaritas spot on! I wish we had something so authentic and amazing in Florida! Highly recommend!

Family friendly booth style tables. Very reasonable price with large portions. The menu is extensive (but bring your reading glasses) to get it all listed...it is small print. George is extremely nice, he will take care of you to ensure you are satisfied with your evening / dinner, as he makes the rounds around the tables in the evening. The staff is professional and dedicated to getting your order just as you expect. The bar atmosphere is well lit and who ever is across the bar or 2 stools down is always sure to be polite with a wink or a wave. The patio is great for a smoke and a drink. So you ROCK !!! Small town atmosphere that will aim to please. 5 stars & 2 thumbs up.

Weve searched for years for "our" Mexican place. We thought wed finally found it in the Sol Y Luna on Hendersonville Road until it abruptly closed. Cocula is now our go-to and the best Mexican food in all of Asheville for sure. Plus service is friendly and the Marg pitchers are yummy.

Not your average WNC Mexican joint. Better menu, great service. Awesome porch for dogs, and they were as welcomed and taken care of as the humans. Loved the enchiladas de aguacates, guacamole was fresh and full of onions/tomatoes/herbs. The apple chimichanga was a nice finish.

Me and my boyfriend eat here regularly. Its delicious and very friendly staff. I recommend the chimichangas. Edit: I dunno what happened, theyve crammed their booths so close together that its very uncomfortable to sit at one. And Im not morbidly obese.
