I received a flier in the mail about this place and I did something unusual --I actually ordered from here instead of throwing the SPAM in the trash. I ordered my typical benchmark, Kung-Pao-Chicken, and a couple of other entrees. I was really surprised with what I got. Instead of the typical American-Chinese, it was a bit different. The Kung-Pao-Chicken was chicken (obviously), in a brown sauce, somewhat sweet, with mushrooms and a couple of peppers --and of course, peanuts. Though it didnt look like the usual Kung-Pao dish, it was actually really good! One thing I did find pretty amusing was with the rice! Just like most places you get steamed rice with the meal. While ordering on the phone I asked if I could get brown rice instead of white, and she replied "yes, yes you can". Brown rice wasnt on the menu so I thought hmm, great --I just needed to ask!. Meanwhile, back at the ranch after picking up the Chinese food, we discovered the brown rice! The rice was simply steamed white rice fried up with some soy sauce... --to their credit, the rice was brown :) The restaurant/store was pretty tricky to find --in fact, if they hadnt have told me it was by the Pizza Hut when I ordered I probably would have spent 5 minutes trying to find it --though I never claimed I was able to find anything quickly so take that with a pinch of salt. Inside was nice and clean, and workers pleasant and polite. I felt the price was a bit on the high side being as it was just a typical Chinese joint. The typical entree ranged from $9-$11 per entree. Now Ive exercised my benchmark; Im looking forward to going back and trying other dishes.

So I recently moved to charlotte and was dying to find some good chinese food and came across cherry blossom... Decor- the inside is very homey and clean (I am extremely OCD)...there are not that many tables but it was enough.... Food-I ordered the Hot and Sour soup and I must say it was by far the best soup I had ever tried. it had perfect amount of spice and kick to it ( I even ordered extra to bring home). Then I got the General Taos white meat dish with white rice...OMG is all I got to say. it was so good the sauce was amazing and my favorite part was that they made the chicken kinda crispy....which was perfect because most places have there chicken soggy. I also had the fried chicken wings that were so different I know this may sound gross but it kinda had a kick of curry in it...surpisingly it was actually good. Service-Ok so to be brutally honest I usually dont expect much at a chinese restaurants...usually the people are mostly rude and impatient, however the couple there was really nice they tried to recommend some food for me and gave me extra soup since I just moved to charlotte.. I am definitely coming back...

I went to Cherry Blossom the other day to get some dinner and was really impressed. I ordered Sa Cha Chicken, Chicken Lo Mein, spring rolls, and some Hot and Sour Soup mixed with Egg Drop Soup. The Sa Cha was great. It has a great ginger undertone to it and a good mix of fresh vegetables. The one thing that was good with both the Sa Cha Chicken and the Lo Mein was the tender pieces of meat. Really good chicken. Finally, I had them mix me up some Egg Drop and Hot and Sour Soup. Delicious!!! Dont know if anyone has ever tried this, but its a great mix. If you put some rice in it, youve got yourself a cheap meal in itself. Only complaint: more spicey!! Although, I told the owner I liked my food real hot and she gave me some good homemade hot sauce, which did the trick. Overall, Id say its a pretty good take-out. Certainly not a dine-in type place, but good take-out nonetheless. Some people on here seem to be pretty upset with the service. All I can say to that is that Ive been in the food industry for 10 years and you just cant please some people. As for me, I am a happy customer and WILL be going back.

We ordered delivery for dinner.I dont mind spending money if it is good food. The items were very pricey .I ordered a seafood dish and when the order was delivered I should have checked it before the driver left, but I didnt feel the need and trusted they would deliver what you paid for.BIG MISTAKE, when I opened my container I could barely see any meat portion of this so called seafood dish.I promise there might have been 2 pieces of shrimp 2 pieces of scallops and scattered small pieces of crab stuff and the rest were bland no taste vegetables.I called the restaurant to tell them and told me to bring back.if I wanted takeout I would have gone to pick up in first place. So I paid a big rice for some bland veggie platter.DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE, YOU WILL BE HUNGRY AND THEY COULD CARE LESS.GO TO THE GREAT WALL OF CHINA SOUTH WHERE I PROMISE YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED.Thanks, Joanna.

Dear Cherry Blossom, I wanted to take a moment and thank you for giving my whole house hold food poisoning, spontaneous diahrea and sprinkler like vomitting for hours. ( I know someone will make the comment that this dosent sound like food poisoning but hello my whole house hold ate at one place together that day and we all got the same thing at pretty much the same time!) So with that said, Cherry Blossom you are just the best in not having to come up with an excuse to not have to work or go to school. You brought my whole family closer, b/c we were all at home stuck on the toilet together (not at the same time). Great family bonding! Need less to say, we will not be partaking in your colon blow type food ever again! The only good thing about this whole experience was the weight loss after expelling this food for 8 hours plus. Thank You, My Anus Hurts

I took my daughter there for dinner the other night after receiving one of their coupons in the mail. I have to say, at first glance I didnt know what to think of this restaurantt. Its just a quaint little restaurant and the owner and his wife were very friendly. We ordered some wonton soup, Chinese Donuts, and shared a sesame chicken. The donuts were great, my daughter loved them. And Id have to say, I was prety impressed with the quality. They gave us one bowl of rice, and offered to refill it for free after we had finished it. Excellent service. Even though it wasnt a sit down restaurant, the owners wife always kept a close eye on us and gave great service. I even ended up leaving a tip. All and all, Id say that this place deserves a 5 star for quality, service, and price. Will definitely return for another great experience.

Last night must have been an off night. I called in a delivery order, while the girl on the other end was very proficient, she was not pleasant - no big deal really. It took over an hour for my food to arrive, which was fine since thats what I was told. However....it was not worth the wait. I paid $25 for two dishes and the rice tasted like it was a day old. I order General Tsaos and Sesame Chicken for my friend. I am not sure what was wrong with the chicken, but it was tough, chewy and had too much breading on it. My friend could barely get his fork through the Sesame chicken. The egg roll was so greasy I couldnt finish it. If youre looking for a good Chinese Place, Amazing Wok off Johnston Road near Ardrey Kell is great...and cheaper.
