Very very disrespectful employees in at Lowes Foods (the Cary location), If there is a policy about not accepting cracked IDs (even though the birth date, expiration date, and photo are visible, they are within ALE regulations to buy alcohol, and they have been using the same IDS for 2 years at the same location) then I will retract my statement.. but as of NOW, nobody has been able to answer me whether there is or NOT and everyone that I have had contact with has been smug or even RUDE. I have had an issue with this with the employee, LOUIS, but with nobody else. Everyone else has had NO problem with our IDs and according to ALE regulations, they are acceptable because the birthdate, expiration date, and photo are completely intact. I just want to know if theres a store or company policy. And now Im curious as to WHY nobody has answered my questions. And if there is such a policy, then why are we able to purchase alcohol with our (cracked) IDs at every other time than when LOUIS is working? Not to mention the fact that were both visibly over 21. I will be in contact with corporate.

I had a great experience here. I bought a watermelon that was not good,I brought my receipt back to the store. They apologized at customer service and doubled the amount of my refund. I then went to the produce department to ask them to cut a watermelon for me to make sure I got a good one. He happily cut it and gave me a taste. It was then nicely wrapped and he told me it was free! Excellent customer service.

I have started driving over to and shopping here for several reasons. Pricing seems to be a bit better that HT. They also carry the brand of beer that I prefer in this store. The people here are really friendly and the store is always clean and well stocked.

Lowes is great if you need something quickly or want to find local food, but their prices are considerably higher than other grocery stores. The staff is always friendly and polite though!

You should definitely clue your 3rd shift employees in on ALE restrictions. Because what they believe as far as illegal/legal restrictions for IDs, are completely and totally wrong.

Its a good neighborhood grocery store. The sausages are unique and delicious. Always easy to get in and it. Nice daily family activities and little stations for kids to play at.
