Would of giving 5 starts if we had a better waitress. She took our drink orders and at that time my 5 year old nieces was in the restroom so I told her it was a kids drink but for my 2 children who were sitting she brought them regularly cups I didnt know I need to tell her they were kids also. After she brought us are drink she didnt ask if we were ready to order she went to the bar and was talking to a friend with a little girl who she picked up and was playing with. Then later came and ask if we were ready place our order. when she brought out our food she gave everyone the wrong plates so we had to shuffle them around. After that she only came back once to check on us. Food was good and came out quick for a party of 12. We ask for 2 separate check and when we got our check party of 5 the tip was already added on 20$ which I believe she did not deserve.

Had the calamari and it was delicious. The sauce that it came with had great flavor. Calamari was fresh, tender and cooked to perfection. Also had a bowl of the clam chowder even though I dont like the broth kind. the waitress talked us into it and man Im glad she did. It was so flavorful and even had a nice kick to it. Waitress also recommended fish bites. I forgot what kind of fish it was but it was good. It was a white fish and the bites were big, tender and hot. I ordered crab legs and other items but those were the stand outs. Will be back soon.

Brandon at The Mad Crabber on Avon, NC was spectacular! He was consistent with his service, checked up on us constantly, and made sure we were content with our food. My boyfriend ordered the fish special of the night which was jamacian jerk sea bass with a mango chile sauce. He loved it so much he was literally scrapping the plate for more. I got a 1/2 lb of shrimp that was so good it made me wanna slap my momma. The food came fast, was delicious, and decently priced.

Excellent food, great service. Crab bisque was amazing. Best hush puppies any of us have ever had. Crab cakes were great, and the Mad Crabber Platter and Snow Crab & Shrimp combo fantastic. The snow crab legs were heavenly. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that it would be really nice if they had lobster bibs and handiwipes. Something small that would really help with such messy foods. We will be back.

Walked right in and got a table. Fun, and cute crab decor all over. Waitress was very friendly and helpful. We started with the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer, which were pretty good. The local draught beer selection was not my favorite, but my husband enjoyed a flight to sample. The fish tacos were fantastic and the quinoa salad was the best Ive ever had. It was very good food and the prices are nice, too.

Poor service, my family ate here and was treated badly. Most of my party recieved their only drink refill after they had finished their meal, and most of them was drinking water. Then the management that they had to talk about the experience with wanted to argue about what I thought was a fair tip. Wouldnt recommend them to serve my dog any food let alone my family.

Great crab puppies, great service, great waitress! However the fish tacos had hardly any fish on it (husband said it didnt taste like fish at all) but the sauces and adding the avocado to the taco wad a huge plus! Their scallops were cooked to perfection. We got the mussels that were huge! I was not a fan of the seaweed salad but my brother in law loved it.

We arrived upon opening, great atmosphere, place to ourselves. Ordered the fried shrimp, its wonderful. Lightly breaded, definitely homemade. The cocktail sauce is delightful, zesty with horseradish. Hubby ate crab legs and fried shrimp. We both had coleslaw, yummy and chunky. I feel prices were very reasonable for a vacation spot.

We loved this place. Seafood was really good. I got the seafood trio. The crab cake was really good. Fresh corn on the cob, shrimp were great as well. Fish tacos were a hit as well. The kids love the butcher paper covering the table to draw pictures on. Very cool. Staff was attentive and nice.

Wanted a good seafood dinner and thats what I got! We got there right after 5:00 so we had to wait about 15 minutes. I got the Mad Crabber platter and it was everything Id hoped for. And I love that they give you a brown paper bag for your leavings! Great atmosphere and wonderful service!

Had to wait an hour since it opened at 5:30, but they did keep up updated. Table from 4 was pretty cramped. Food was excellent. Shrimp and crab legs. We sat by the bar and the bartender took care of the whole bar and 2 tables! Repeat customers and would go back again! -Shawn from PA

Food was made fast and served hot and delicious! Great crab and the mahi burrito was so good! A little bit pricey for crab but over all a great place and so laid back, great for kids. Only complaint is they didnt have a patio so one of us had to stay in the car with the dog. :/

If you want good crab legs this is the place. I had the king crab legs which I have never had before and they were awesome! For only being my husband and I we got seated right away an had a very good pleasant dinner. Laid back place. Loved it would definitely go back!!!

No complaints about food or service. But they will only provide 2 checks per table and our party was 2 couples and 2 singles. Even though they would take 4 different credit cards it was an unnecessary inconvenience for us to figure each of our totals.

The apps arrived quickly and were perfectly cooked. The crab legs and crab cakes arrived soon after and were delicious. The waitress was wonderful and the whole vibe there is terrific. It was definitely a place we would return to when we come back.

Great restuarant, been going yearly for about 15 years. Suggest hush puppies, clam strips (a seasonal special), and not ordering solely fried foods (unless you really really want to have so much fried stuff your stomach explodes)

Great steamed crab legs, the best hush puppies Ive had, and a great atmosphere! The staff is very pleasant and the food comes out fast. We went on our second night of vacation and hope to go again tonight, on our last night.

Went here night before our wedding with all the wedding party in 2005. Then came back for step sons wedding did the same in 2015. Never miss coming here when @ Outer Banks..even without a wedding party! Love this place!!!!

Amazing food! So fresh, everything local. I would step out to say best crab cake and soft shell crab Ive ever had. Service was awesome and everyone was so friendly! Wish I found this place a couple days sooner.

Everything was very good, steamed shrimp cooked perfect! Cajun potatoes spicy but full of flavor. Homemade cocktail sauce to die for. Friendly staff very helpful and professional!!! Will be back next trip!!!
