We wanted to try taco Tuesday, waited over 30min for a table. App came out before beer, and the cheese wasnt melted, barely warm, cold in the middle. The tacos came out room temp, some cold. We were very disappointed. The menu looked so good, just did not deliver. The waitress was very pretty and very kind, but her timing was terrible and she obviously had too many tables to give decent service. We had to wait forever to tell her the food was cold, she didnt do a quality check after the food was brought out, and by the time she did check we had waited so long that we just asked for a box to take it home. Then we had to wait another 10 min just to get the check. I will not go back. Its a shame that such a neat space with such a great menu is such a let down.

While Im not in love with this place as a bar (it definitely feels more like a restaurant to me and their liquor selection is somewhat poor) I must say that the food is always quite good. Their burger, pastor tacos, chicken sandwich and quesadillas are all excellent, as is their mac & cheese. They also have daily specials that, more often than not; derail me from what I came in for. But thats a good problem to have. The one thing I dont order from here anymore are their fries, which unfortunately come from a bag in the freezer. Ive always found the service to be friendly enough, though I do avoid going here when its a zoo (taco Tuesdays for example). But when all is said and done, some of the best food in west Asheville comes out of this kitchen.

How is this place still open? I guess people think its "cool." Over priced, mediocre food. Never anything but Hoppy beers on tap. Yes, people do drink brown/dark beers too. Wait, its really just a bar with pool and food on the side? Ok, I get it now. For bar food its not that bad. But dont go there hungry looking for good food. The three bites of steak on your steak sandwich will be disappointing. The best thing this place has going for them is their sweet potatoe tots they get frozen from US Foods or Sysco.

4 star because I only 5 star the truly amazing places. I have no complaints though. The improvements I might make would be seating at the bar the chairs are not comfortable at all. Old school stool beat weird shaped wooden things any day. Long island was good. So was American classic cocktail. I absolutely recommend the chips and salsa fresco. Its house made salsa incredibly fresh and delicious. Great place to end the night for sure and I would bet a great place for lunch/dinner as well. Servers all get a 5

Overpriced and underperforming Ordered the bacon burger special to go (11$, side not included.) Bun was smashed in and beef patty was not cooked to order, and had obviously been sitting out, it was dry. The candied fennel and cherry listed on the menu was not on the burger. Only received a small amount of tots despite being charged extra for them. If we hadnt taken our food to go, I would have returned it and asked for a refund. Give this one a pass unless you just plan on drinking.

Jalepeno Raspberry Margarita was very good. Tacos were above average, however not the best pastor I have ever had. Avocado tomatillo salsa lacked pizzaz. Server was very good, it was obvious he was new but made an effort to find out answers to my questions. Very large open space. Good good kids. A/C was chilly for me but most places are. Definitely would go back again and try other items.

big things happening here, kitchen is on point with their specials! just had the greatest $13 steak fillet with asparagus and 2 fried eggs, what a tasty deal! 8/17 update: have had to send 2 plates back on the last 2 trips to get dinner. over several years we have never had any issue with the food here until the last month or so.

Ive been coming here since the day they opened, and in my opinion, this is a great place to do a working lunch, catch a game, or have a low key drinking session with some friends. The specials menu is often awe-inspiring, the bar carries all the beers we cool kids want to drink;)

The service at The WALK is top-notch and the food is both very good and affordable. I highly recommend The WALK to both friends in town and visitors regularly. Its easy to see why theyve become West Ashevilles favorite hangout spot. Family friendly atmosphere and menu.

i have been in here two or three times, and this place smells like a goat taint. we even told them about it, and they basically said they probably also smell like goat taint....not impressed cant eat here with that stench, bet the foods probably good though.....

Really good tacos. They are discounted on Tuesdays. The specials are usually good. This place has quality bar food. Their beer selection is better than most as well. They have a projector TV. If you like the teams that are playing its good place to watch sports.

Reasonably priced lunch. Did I mention delicious? I ordered an order of crab cakes as well as a 6 oz burger. Both were absolutely exquisite. The food did not take too long to be delivered, and the staff was very friendly. I would definitely come here again.

TACO TUESDAY! i mean, come on. discount tacos? thats worth at LEAST 3 stars on its own. realistically, the food here is decent - but the atmosphere more than makes up for the lack of high-end vittles. good folks, great space, generous drinks.

Shhh.... dont tell the tourists...This is a great locals hangout. Has a great vibe, decently friendly staff. Good craft beer pricing and variety. The food is very cheap, but super good! Good for a group of 6 or less. Not a huge location.

Great environment, decent food. The tacos were good and so was the shrimp po boy, but the ice cream is phenomenal. I wouldnt make a special trip to eat here, but you should go for the drinks and atmosphere and the ice cream.

The group ordered a quesadilla, tacos, a burrito, the sweet potato tots, and the chicken and herb soup. Everything was excellent and reasonably priced. Service was fast and friendly. Would definitely come again.

Good service and good food. My only complaint is with the loud metal music coming from the kitchen. Would be nice if they could turn it down so I dont have to listen to it while dining with family.

Food was right on time... Ive had fried pickles b4 but never like at the walk "wow" reasonable price wait staff friendly and funny. Definitely my new spot to just chill and have a good time

Came here for our first meal in Asheville and the food was delicious. Great salad, delicious pork loin, good tacos, ... and they had gluten-free beer (I am celiac)!
