**I WOULD NOT EAT HERE!** I an interior designer and was told that Asheville Kitchens & Baths was a MUST stop. West Asheville is an Awesome place very artsy and I was really looking forward to looking through the shop. I parked in the parking lot and there is a really cool Rock and Mineral shop next door, so I started there looking at the rocks. All of the sudden there was a nasty little lady (that did NOT speak much English) screaming at me for parking in the lot. I told her that I was parked there to visit Asheville Kitchens & Baths. She said that the parking lot was theirs and that I had to move. Again I told her that I was there to visit Asheville Kitchens & Baths and that the sign said that it was their parking lot as well. She told me to move or they would tow my car. The owner of the Rock shop told me to move to his lot and leave it there while I visit Asheville Kitchens & Baths. I moved my car to his lot but would NOT visit Asheville Kitchens & Baths. The place is NOT worth the trouble. I will be highly recommending the Rock Shop and putiing a "NASTY OWNER" review on The Mexican Restaurant, and a "NOT WORTH THE HASSLE" on Asheville Kitchens & Baths. There is NOTHING they have to offer that is worth the NASTY attitude this lady has. She is their Parking Lot Police... Hateful woman! ***BEWARE THIS PLACE IS RUN BY A VERY RUDE PERSON*** Free Parking at the OReiley Auto Parts, or behind the rock shop there is an Aldi Grocery Store. They DO NOT TOW! But if you visit this place BEWARE of the "Parkinglot Troll".

I eat here about once every 2-weeks. I love the food here, the atmosphere, and above all the service. I lived in Southern California for awhile and this is the closest place I have found to the food I enjoyed while out there. My brother and I both love the "Steak Burritos with Rice." Also every friend of mine who I have taken here has loved the food as well. I gave this place a 5 Star rating because the have hit on every aspect I feel is important. 1. Cleanliness. 2. Large portions at very affordable and competitive prices. 3. Friendly Service, always a smiling face. 4. Food is made and served quickly. 5. Food is delicious! Overall this is an honest 5 Star rating based on my experiences and particular taste. I work at a business on Haywood Rd and recommend El Paraiso to all my customers. Also if you are reading this review and decided to try this restaurant out for yourself, please give them a review good or bad. I find too often on sites that list reviews that people generally only leave a review if they had a poor experience, when this should not be the case. Share your opinions when you have had a good experience, not only when it was bad!

I ate lunch here today, and the meat in the burrito was spoiled. When I complained to the waitress she said "Oh no we use authentic mexican spices, you just arent used to them." I was speechless for a bit, then I asked to see the manager. The waitress rolled her eyes and walked off. When the manager lady cam she said "What"? I could not believe this was actually happening. I nicely told her that the burrito tastes really bad because I believe the meat is spoiled. She started speaking to me with a very loud voice in Spanish and I have no idea what she was saying to me. I just sat there speechless again. I asked her what she said to me and she said "Nothing". At this point all the other customers were watching. I stood up and said to the manager lady that I was leaving, and I will not be paying for the spoiled meat lunch and I got water to drink. I wanted the other customers to hear that my lunch had spoiled meat in it. I then went out the door, and she followed me saying things in Spanish that I did not understand. ** DO NOT EAT HERE ** Fellow Asheville residents please spread the word.

My plate was not scolding hot, but just right. My immediate experience as I entered the establishment, was pure joy and ecstacy. I was greeted by an angel from heaven and he politely and happily sat us at the bar. Shortly after seated, the angel turned on the television for our enjoyment, and me and my comrade watched white house down while our feet were dunked into a mineral bath and massaged with the diligent fingers of Mexico. We then ordered a couple beers from our beautiful angel God of a bartender, and then asked for Arroz Con Pollo. Not even a blink of an eye later, our beers were frosty, and our food had arrived. Perfectly cooked and a masterpiece only Davinci could compete with. As we indulged in pure bliss, the combination of the full body massage and mineral foot bath whilst we were eating, only intensified our orgasmic, existential experience. This is the equivalent of dying and going to heaven 5 times. Thank GOD for this establishment.

Wow! A business with incredible potential, great patio, great ambiance, great staff! But its dead on Friday nights, no music in the patio, bland chips salsa, and weak margarita pitchers. I can almost ask the owner to let me borrow his incredible business! And attract customers of my own. Make this like the Atlanta and San Francisco- Asheville doesnt have.

Decent food, cheap prices, incredibly cheap beer specials. Go if you want a gimmick-less mexican food experience. One of the last el cheapo mexican places left in Asheville that isnt all fancy pants (or crazy busy) like Papas and Beer.

The owner is a jerk who tows cars for no reason and uses a very shady wrecker service. Im sure there are kickbacks or something like that going on. They need to end that business relationship and work with better people.

I dont make it here often but it is really good food at reasonable prices. Probably the cheapest place on Haywood Road. Always great service. 1 less star for blah cheese dip, it just had an odd flavor.

Amazing prices. Delicious food. Great vegetarian options. They were so fast! They also worked with me with food allergy modifications.

The food was OK, the service was a bit better than average, and the prices were a bit high. Also, the atmosphere felt disingenuous.

Nothing about their food is authentic. The enchiladas had sauce from a can...go to Tacos Jalisco or Papas and Beer instead!

No mixes for the margaritas, super small portions, and really stingy on the chips and dip. Would not come here again!

VERY nice staff! Drinks could be a little heavier. And would love it if there was some better chips and salsa.

This is one of those old school mexican joints your parents used to take you to.
