This place, "South Shore Dive", more like South Shore DIED!! Two stars is honestly a fairly generous review for this place; only if you are a medieval peasant enslaved by your lord in the bowels of feudal Germany would you be content with this catastrophe. If aliens came to Earth and this was their first impression of human food, they would leave!! This life changing experience began at minute one!! Firstly, the hostess was rather repulsive and honestly an ugly person. The waitress too was not only rude and insulting, she gave me dirty looks the whole event. When you walk in you are greeted by a building that is so increpidly deteriorated that you might compare to a warzone. Following the warzone comparison, there is absolutely no artificial light. I could not even see where I was going. Now of course when I was given the menu, it was thrown at me as if I were a slobby redneck. The menu selection was limited to about four edible items because the rest, to be blunt, was utter trash to anyone with any pallete more sophisticated than my grandmas dirty, old, moist shoe from World War I. The plates were paper, yet somehow dirty. Most importantly, the food. The food was, to put it nicely, garbage served on a silver platter, oops sorry, dirty paper plates!! Disappointing excuse of an eating establishment. Please avoid this like the plague because it is a plague festering "dive".

This is one of the best gems in Sayville. Always doing sunday brunch here. The chicken and herb waffles are amazing and well balanced. Thier specials are always so tempting and never a disappointment. The atmosphere is very modern/retro/brooklyn. The drinks are inventive and very tasty; must have a bloody mary for sunday brunch. In door and out door seating. The dedication of the staff and owner are very apparent in all of the little details in the food and decor. You must give this place a shot or 20.

This is the second place that Bobby, the owner, has opened on a thriving Main St community, and I find it to be a glowing success. The food is solid, mostly regular American cuisine with a twist, and the cocktails never disappoint. Beer list is solid too. I only wish it was a little bigger (though thank god it is larger than the Courtland!) and that the prices were a little lower. All in all, still one of the better dives to hang out in on Main.

I love this place! I first went when they first opened and the owner was hanging lights in the outdoor area. Pretty nice guy! Im a vegetarian so I cant say much for majority of their food, but their Mac and Cheese is pretty bomb. You can also customize it with additional toppings (for an added charge). Their tater tots are interesting, theyre like a cross in between a Knish, Latke and Hashbrown, but I think theyre pretty bomb.

I absolutely love this place! It has officially become my new spot to hang with my friends - the food is absolutely amazing and the drinks are fun! The atmosphere is totally chill and the staff is super friendly. The bartenders are great at what they do too - especially Dylan and Nick ... they make some of the best margaritas from scratch! I cant see how anyone could have a negative thing to say about this place.

Great local beer selection, pretty solid food marred by the fact that they serve it on paper plates with plastic silverware. If you are going to sell the place as a hip "gastropub" type place and charge those kind of prices, you need real silverware and plates. People shouldnt be expected to eat a steak with a plastic fork.

The ambiance of the place is great. The outdoor seating is so nice and they have a projector on the one wall showing different scenery/clips/movies. Such a nice change from the real dive bar it used to be. The food is a little pricey but absolutely worth it. The wait staff is super friendly and informative.

Great place .. super nice staff ( hostess and waitress ) very accommodating and great food . I always enjoy coming here ... and bonus they are dog friendly ... they were super great to my puppy and also brought him water .. not my first time but definitely not my last .

Very cool space, nice atmosphere. Went mid afternoon, and they still had the brunch menu going... They did make me the pork belly and cheese curds, but there were other things on the main menu I wanted to try... Will go back to try other things

This place is too small, smells like cigarettes, has wooden utensils, the smallest menu alive, and nothing good at all on the menu! Never come here especially will kids. This place is named appropriately because it is a DIVE!!

Came in for a quick drink and some food after work. Ordered patrk n and pineapple and they didnt have it. Ordered their special for the day at 6 pm and the kitchen was having a problem cooking things. Probably wont go back
