CELIAC GLUTEN FREE REVIEW: Ive waited a week for a response to this issue and gotten nothing. My partner and I came in for the first time 10/16. I explained to the owner I am celiac, I can not have wheat even if it just some bread that touches something on my plate. I am very sensitive to any wheat contamination. He brought us soup samples, very nice, but did not tell me Guinness was an ingredient in one!!!!!!!!!!! I informed him that he just poisoned me and I had a 3 hour ride back home! He told me it cooks out....the alcohol cooks out, the gluten in the beer does not! I could not eat my meal, which he did not take off of our check. He has not answered my emails or FB messages. We were billed for a meal I could not eat, not apologized to, and I missed a day of teaching so both me and my students suffered because I was very sick. It has taken a week for my body to get back on track. Celiac is a serious disorder and wheat, even in a small amount, is very bad for our health. I am very angry the owner said he was knowledgeable about the disorder, then showed his complete ignorance, and then did nothing to make up for it. Thanks for the terrible ride home and the week that followed. That was really awful and you have not addressed the issue. That is not how you treat people.

Was really in the mood for a taco but we were far from the good hood taco spot. Came here and ordered a burrito and short rib taco. I asked how many tacos came per order and when he said one, i expected it to be a substantial taco. When my husband opened it, he was annoyed that i bought him an $8.50 taco that was "smaller than a dirty water hot dog." Way, WAY overpriced for what it was. The burrito i ordered was very large, but overstuffed to the point that it was ripped in the middle and could not be held. This led to a clumsy and messy eating session for me. MAY come back for a burrito in the future as a dine-in guest so i can have a plate to cut it on that wont rip like the tin foil. Also, i ordered my food and sat right in front of the person i ordered with to wait. 20 minutes later, i was asked by another employee if i had ordered, and what i ordered, and he proceeded to pick up a bag that was sitting by the register and hand it to me. So it was sitting for 5 minutes with no one noticing that i never even left and was waiting patiently for my meal. No real excuse for that, as there was only 1 family sitting in the restaurant eating.

This place was recommended to us by a coworker. We wont be going again. The best thing I ordered was the Mango Margarita. The food was fresh but not the best. I had the taco special. I only liked one taco out of the three served. They were over stuffed. I couldnt eat them without making a mess and getting food all over myself. My husband ordered the shrimp burrito. The shrimp was over cooked and over priced. The entire menu was way over priced. Who pays $5-$9 for a single taco? A TACO!! The service was friendly but very slow. There was only one server for the entire restaurant. It was a nice atmosphere. There were no complimentary chips and salsa like most Mexican restaurants. That was disappointing. The decor was pleasing. Overall I wouldnt recommend this place. Unless you want a good margarita.

The staff were nice and friendly but the food was below average. Guacamole tasted store bought. Definitely was not home made. Chips were stale and also obviously not made there or even warmed up there. Steak tasted as if it had been boiled or microwaved. I didnt see any grill marks and the flavor was strange. I ordered nachos and although they were pretty tasty the quantity was obscene. It would have been enough to feed a table of four. I felt ridiculous with the plate in front me. The server should have warned me that it was a family size portion. The shining point was the jalapeno margarita. Finally someone makes an actual spicy margarita. Overall I wouldnt recommend going here unless there just isnt any other place nearby to get a taco.

Service was nice and the only reason I give this restaurant more than one star. The complementary chips and salsa were sub-par: The chips tasted stale and the salsa was spicy water. I ordered a $9 main (a burrito with rice and beans) and felt like I had wasted my money. The only good part of my meal was the meat in my burrito because the rice was unimpressive and the beans taste like something I cant even describe, but I wasnt impressed nonetheless. Im glad that I opted for a cheaper option because their prices seemed unresonable for the food that was being served.

Hands down favorite tex-mex spot in the area. Been here dozens of times and never been disapointed. The burritos are huge as are the qusedillas. I almost always get the tuna burrito as it is very unique but i have tried many others. The drinks are good and respectable sized. I love the ghost pepper brownie sunday if you want a little mix of hot and cold, also the potato salad is one of a kind. If you are visiting the area come here!

i went in for the happy hour $3 tacos and was still charged full price because I wasnt "eating in" when clearly the menu doesnt say you have to dine in for that to take affect. I ended up staying to eat my tacos because I didnt want to pay $27 for 4 tacos, and my food was served on a dirty dusty plate. Very poor experience here. Highly Not recommended for their lack of integrity.

Just moved to the area and was recommended to go here. Went for a date night with my fiance and both of us were extremely pleased with our orders. They even brought out a soup sampler for us to try. Everything tasted amazing and the service was great!

Bigger menu and sitting room makes this place a more pleasant place to visit for lunch as opposed to the smaller hole in the wall location in New Paltz
