Ive been to this diner with my partner multiple times and have never had a bad experience until a few weeks ago. We both decided to go to this diner on one of our mutual days off. It was a weekday morning and most of the primary booths were already occupied. Patrons were all of the elderly variety and upon sitting at our table an older gentleman decided to call across the room and ask my partner a question about my gender even though I was in the direct line of conversation. I wear my hair natural and he also made comments about my afro being "fake". I brushed his attempt at public embarrassment aside and we proceeded to order. I ordered a cup of coffee while our food was being prepared and our waitress, someone who has served us before, brought over the mug and dropped a few containers of half & half on our table. Now, Im no foodie but when you order coffee and they give you cream its customary that it comes in a saucer. Every other table that had coffee in their diner had a saucer for their cream but she chose to just drop them on the table in front of me as an afterthought. Again, I brushed this aside. Maybe she just ran out of dishes, no malicious intention whatsoever. Once our food arrived, the gentleman who had called across the room to us was in the process of leaving. Instead of paying his dues and leaving with his partner he approached me from behind and placed his hand on my shoulder, loudly asking my partner "Is this your boyfriend?". I had had it at that point of not being spoken to directly and then being touched without invitation, but I maintained my calm and asked him not to touch me and to just leave us alone. His wife then got between us and tried to pull him backward all while hes trying to argue "Why? Just look at HIS hair!". When he first asked about my gender my partner had told him that I am a female, but he persisted. They left and one of the other waitresses just defended him by saying that he just has dementia, clearly indicating that she had heard the confrontation but had done nothing. As if that wasnt enough, a few minutes later another man came over to our table and tried to strike up conversation. Im visibly agitated at this point so I focus on trying to eat, but he attempts to draw me in. I simply looked at him and he started to call me "young fella" and tell me to calm down even though I hadnt even said anything or moved. Final straw. We inform the waitresses that were going to take our food to go and they said they didnt blame us, that the meal was on them, and that they hoped wed come again. Now how those men behaved werent indicative of the kind of service they offer, but I didnt feel any support from the staff. We used to go there because it was quiet. The food is subpar, but after that fiasco there is nothing enticing about that place anymore. Reminded me of the kind of area Vestal is--politically conservative, economically stagnant, and culturally ignorant.

Starting with the base assumption of what a diner is, this place is great! Lightning fast service, good options and delicious outcomes all at a pretty solid price point. I got coffee, French toast with a side of two eggs, and it was like 8 bucks. Coffee refills were rapid and everything tasted great.

We had breakfast and it was delicious and good sized portions and reasonably priced. The Waitress service was good but when checking out the female cashier wouldnt even look at me as I was paying, it is great to feel invisible.

I was there a little after they opened up on a Saturday for breakfast. Food came fast and was delicious. Only downside is that a side of bacon is close to $3
