Over tha past 5 years I have been to many of the establishments on Varick Street. Some of them have caught my attention more than others. However none quite like Nail Creek Pub & Brewery. This is a bar where one may find a person sporting a business suit in deep conversation with someone in paint covered overhalls. Everyone is so very friendly! As soon as you walk through the doors, the bars decor alone will make you feel welcome. The bartenders are all extremely friendly and knowledgeable on all of the 50+ beers that they have available, either on tap or bottles. I cant wait until the kitchen is ready to go and food is being served as the menu looks incredible!

This bar is great for those individuals who are not looking for bump and grind music or arguments. Comfortable atmosphere and an exceptional craft beer selection. Also, their Sunday brunch menu is fantastic! They often have blues bands play as well as alternative and indie rock. The only reason that I gave it four stars instead of five is due to the fact that it tends to be very loud with or without music by nature of the fact that so many people love it and therefore it is usually packed...which I dont suppose qualifies as a negative. THE place to go for craft beer enthusiasts in Utica. With a massive rotating selection, youll have no problem trying a new beer or two or twenty. Heck, go for the century club and try 100 different beers! You can sometimes find Saranc Inner Circle beers on tap here, along with various offerings brewed in-house. The food is top notch as well, nothing like a Nail Creek brunch to bring you back to life after a rough night. Friendlya staff will be happy to help you make a choice!

Not fighting through to get a beer, but I suppose the selection is worth it when you get there. Other than the small bar itself, this place rules. Great food, music, and outdoor patio for summer. Not much offered for cheap beers, so I recommend planning on trying something new and delicious, but paying a little bit for it.

I love this place. Large enough to accommodate a large crowd, with a small pub feel. Great selection of beers on draft, bottled, and variety of liquor. Large covered porch with picnic tables and seating wraps around the front and side of the building. Great place to grab a beer, and FANTASTIC food! Highly recommended!

Great place, really good beer and they actually tried to encourage me to try a sample before I got a pint to make sure I would like it. Food was very good although I could have used a little bigger side, the plate looked slightly empty. If I was here as a couple I would advise and app to start if your hungry.

Nice and casual place for a quick bite and drinks. They offer a great selection of draft beers and food including my favorites: poutine and grass fed burger (and yes, made with locally sourced products). Also, make sure to check out their Sunday brunch and dont forget the happy hour for the $1 draft beers.

Hit the nail on the head, a cozy bar, friendly staff, fresh local food, vegetarian options, and an outstanding beer selection! Home of the Utica Club side (swap fries for beer). The only catch is get here early, food, and beer are sure to run out quickly, yes, its that good!

Abysmal bar service. Staff didnt seem interested in serving our group. They had a great selection, but we werent able to attract any attention to buy anything which was particularly surprising as there wasnt many people in the establishment.

I love the atmosphere of this place. An older building converted into a cozy, hip place to kick back, have a beer and eat some delicious food. The patio is a welcoming spot to gather with friends and enjoy the outdoor experience.

Loved this place. Stopped here on the way back from a weekend of hiking in the Adirondacks based in Google reviews. Loved the atmosphere, nice selection of beer and the food was outstanding. Best chicken and waffles Ive ever had!

If your looking for the corporate spit and polish of a TGI Fridays this is not your place. Expect wobbly tables and chairs, eclectic decor, great food, genuine people and friendly staff.. In other words, I loved it!

Ever since The EC closedan down this has been my bar. This place introduced me to craft beers and alot of them. The food here is delicious too. The atmosphere is cool calm and chill, the staff here is great too

Stopped in for lunch on our way from CT to Buffalo. Burger was very good and spinach artichoke dip was also top notch. Service was quick and bartender/server was friendly. Id go back.

Ive eaten here on multiple occasions before concerts at the Saranac Brewery... very delicious food selection. Cool bar... Live music at night out on the deck in the summer.

Nail Creek is just a really great place to hang out and mingle with friends (or make new ones). This is probably the closest youll come to Cheers right here in Central NY.
