I lived in California for a few years and I got spoiled by all the great Mexican food available there. This is the first authentic tasting Mexican restaurant I have found in Westchester. A foodie friend took us here and now we are regulars. The pica de gallo is delicious and fresh but if there was one thing that I would say could improve it would be to warm up the tortilla chips. The tacos are fresh and tasty but I prefer the hard shells while my bf likes the soft shelled ones. We also love the quesadillas and the burritos, which are are huge. Plenty of vegetarian choices here, I like the guacamole burrito. Beer is the way to go, even if you are not a beer aficionado. They serve it in chilled glasses and the combination of the spicy food and the cold beer is super refreshing. Plenty of soccer fans here loving the big screen tv and their enthusiasm is contagious. If I lived closer, I would be here every night!

The experience was alright, but nothing spectacular. Our food was ready pretty quickly. We ordered a cheese/onion/jalapeno quesadilla and a chicken burrito. The quesadilla was good, but greasy. The burrito was sort of bland and the chicken was dry and very overcooked. Id rather have stood in line for a burrito at Chipotle. The establishment was clean and nicely decorated. My only real complaint would be that the other waiter (who didnt have any tables to wait on) was watching loud videos on his phone of what sounded like people fighting.

Wonderful authentic Mexican food served in an informal and inexpensive setting. You might drive right by this small restaurant, but do stop in and try out their selection. I highly recommend nearly anything with their mole sauce. They will be expanding soon which is a good thing as they can get crowded at times. Takeout is available.

My family loves this place! I agree the pricing has increased a bit but if you want quality then you have to pay for it! Gilbertos food is still fresh and great tasting. Love the tacos they way the should be..with chopped onions and fresh cilantro..none of that Taco Bell crap!

Burrito poblano may look weird at first glance but once you pass the door you enter a festive escape to Mexico. The food is authentic and the ambiance is great for grabbing a quick bite to eat. Not your first date type of place so try maybe third or second date.

I am a big fan of Tex Mex and the food here is Top Notch Burrito grande is my fav but the fajita and pick are excellent. I do not consider this expensive and the staff are warm and friendly I love my soccer and this place has great atmosphere for all games..

Alcohol selection lacking (beer wine and sangria), somewhat cheesy decor. Huge portions. Chips (free) leave something to be desired, but not nearly as bad as some.
