This new edition on central Ave is an upscale, pleasant Indian Himalayan restaurant.We been waiting and eying for doors to open and finally we are able to try new taste. We never had Himalayan food before ,after seeing the coming soon sign we googled Himalaya Restaurant and found they have another location in Yorktown.(The reviews are pretty good) We went there on Thursday night, greeted by Manager and let us chose the table and right way served glass of water and some cracker with dipping sauce. (which was nice). what"s not like? We been waiting for doors to open, Friendly staff and all delicious well prepared meals. Ordered some dish similar to Indian but the flavor is much better, I am familiar with chicken Tandori and Tiki Marsalabut their food quality and flavor is way better than some Indian places we been. The food is much lighter, more settled and we can tell they are fresh. This place is already rocking, within another hour the dining was full. Beautifully decor and pictures from Himalaya, they are waiting for their Bar mean while I guess BYOB. We will be going back sometime soon.

My first time here guaranteed I would be back again as often as possible. Everything was delicious and this is one of the very few Indian restaurants I have been to outside of NYC that offered mild through hot options on most menu items. I just had a medium chicken tikka masala but the extra bite really kicked it up a notch. Nice decor, easy to have a quiet conversation in and the staff are very attentive & friendly. Lots of parking in back, too.

When we got there we were served with a delicious appetizer. The food was fantastic and the whole Family loved it! At the end we were celebrating a Birthday and they put a sparkler on the cake, wished the Birthday Boy good luck by giving him a scarf and took a group picture. The food is a variety of Indian and Nepalian Overall this is an amazing restaurant.

This place has only been open a month or two and we have already been there 4 times. The food is all delicious and the service is so friendly. I particularly like the tandoori dishes which are some of the best I have ever eaten -- and I eat Indian food two or three times a month!! Just wondered!!

Food and ambiance is amazing and the servers are well very knowledgeable and professional. The manger was very humble to greet almost every guest and let me tell you this does make a big difference. My over all experience was great and will definitely go back.

Went on a Saturday evening and listened to tibetan/american live music while eating the most extraordinary food. Table next to us was "getting in the mood for their trip the following week to Lassa"!
