My family and I went to Country Kitchen located at 810 Pelham Pkwy., Pelham Manor, NY, this morning and the experience was not so good. We ordered breakfast and the orders were all wrong. I ordered the senior pancakes that was supposed to come with (2) pieces of bacon or (2) link sausages, with a side of extra bacon and sausage. The pancakes were cold and hard and I only had 1 strip of bacon and 1 link sausage. My brother & sister in law ordered the granola pancakes with almonds and walnuts inside the pancakes. The pancakes were plain and there were no almonds or walnuts inside and eggs were supposed to be included. I tried to explain to the waitress how my order was supposed to be, according to the menu but she wasnt understanding so I decided I didnt want the order at all and just had hot tea and white toast. When we got our bill it was all wrong and we were charged for a side of eggs, which was supposed to come with the meal and not a side order. We were charged for a side of sausage because my brother ordered turkey sausages with his meal. Since the meal was supposed to come with either bacon or sausage we couldnt understand why his sausage was considered a side order. This was the first time we tried breakfast there and the last time. We have been there before but for dinner, which we never had any problems with. The only complaint we have about the dinner is it should come with a small basket of hot rolls or hot bread. They should also serve home fries instead of hash browns for breakfast. I was intending to bring some of my church friends there after service on Sundays but Ill only go there for dinner until the breakfast menu gets better and they serve more bacon and sausages with the senior meal or the meals period. Serving 2 slices of bacon is outrageous and I have never been to any restaurant that only serves 2 slices of bacon or 2 tiny link sausages.

I am only giving one star, because zero star is not present. The food is edible and overpriced. Anyways, the food or price is not the issues. I have a very bad experience there. I go to this restaurant to eat at leaSt once per month and basically introduce all my friends to it. I went there on mothers day and yes I admit it was busy. I brought a friend who just came from Jamaica, it was his first experience here and his first time eating out. After we were done eating. The hostess, a man, maybe the manager came to tell us that its busy and since we are done eating if we can leave now, so someone else can get the table. I was apalled, but we laughed it off. I think he assume that because we are Jamaican and he is Jamaican what he did was ok. Most of the mothers day people are new one time customer, I have been going there for the past 6 years. And I will never go back there. This has never happened to me anywhere else and it left a bad taste in my mouth. My friend also fell bad, since this was his first experience out. He asked why would I take him to a place like that where they obviously dont value there customers. As I said, I will never ever go back there again, I would prefer die from hunger. Smh

Not vegan friendly. So disappointed in this place. Ordered cabbage with green banana which was dry and tasteless and didnt even have the nerve to be organic at least for the $14.99 they charged me. It was the same price as saltfish and cabbage with green banana. Dam shame, you caught me once but you wont catch me twice. I wont be patronizing this place ever again. Smh. My aunt had scrambled eggs, toast hash browns, with sausage a side of pancakes and coffee that came up less than $10.00. Everything is too overpriced.

I love this restaurant. I have tried the breakfast, lunch and dinner including the Jamaican menu and everything has been great! I am very picky with my food and I have no complaints here. The cornmeal porridge was creamy and delicious and even gives my dads porridge a run for its money. The ackee and saltfish with fried dumplings was awesome. I definitely recommend giving it a try, you will be pleasantly surprised.

Well, I was on a diet so I got a salad instead of a cooked side dish. Big mistake...halfway through the salad I looked at it and the lettuce was dirty. About a month later I came down with a intestinal parasitic infection with awful symptoms common from green leafy vegetables called blastocystis. I certainly wont be going back to this place again as well as never again ordering salad at a restaurant.

Food was good. Asia, our server was very professional and caring. The amount of food I received for the money I paid was night and day. I received a lot of food, which was worth far more than what I was charged. The amount of money I paid was well worth. Mark, the host, was very professional and welcoming. I will definitely come back and tell all my friends about country kitchen.

Food was great and the portions are generous. Only complaint was that I asked for strawberry lemonade and ended up with a in house specialty that was $6 a glass. There was a miscommunication apparently when I asked for strawberry lemonade and them not carrying a generic fountain strawberry lemonade. I wish the waitress would have informed us of this before bringing it out.

"Fooding" is Good I never try to get excited about eating out for breakfast anymore. Somehow, having a great experience with food was the primary focus I felt from "Country Kitchen" in Pelhem. Nothing was spicy, bland or over salted like other chain restaurants. The pan cake too could hold is own. Seven hours later, I am still thinking about the good food and environment.

Went for dinner my bf ordered a chicken quesadilla that was made with frozen chicken patties and had no flavor. I had steak & shrimp with mash and the steak was bland, the shrimp tasted like the cheap frozen breaded kind, & my mash was lumpy with no flavor & broccoli was burnt. Corona was hot & my lemonade was straight syrup. Never going there again!!

This is not my first time eating here, but it is my first review. The restaurant is very clean and the tables are placed strategically so as not to over crowd (as IHOP does) . From the entry door to the table everyone is warm and friendly. The food is very tasty, rivaling any restaurants in the area. FIVE STARS!!
