Ive always walked by but never went in until my girlfriend said she wanted to get some ice cream. The flavors we got were amazing. The ice cream was actually creamy and smooth like soft serve. Easy to eat scooped, unlike most ice cream shops. The outdoor seating was nice as well. The two of us will definitely be going here more (well, until it gets too cold to be eating ice cream). The pumpkin ice cream they had was some of the best Ive ever tasted (and this is coming from someone who worked at a Carvel when he was in high school).

My daughter, Katie, 16-years-old, gives Main Street Sweets 5 stars because "It is the cutest little place," and ... she ordered the Cookie Monster Ice Cream because "it (the very idea) was brilliant!" Everytime we visit Sleepy Hollow for Halloween, we ALWAYS stop by here for the best sweets in town; but, its not just for this season with hot apple dumplings a la mode in a sundae, downed with hot apple cider: No! I heard theyre going to have Gingerbread Ice Cream and Eggnog for the Christmas Season -- How sweet it is!

Their ice cream is tasty but their hours are not. They close for the winter, missing out on business. Then they open for spring but the hours arent the same as they were in the summer/fall. They dont post their hours. Nobody knows when the place is going to be open. During the summer they say they close at 9 but I walked over with some friends at 8:45 and the doors were locked and sign said closed. I am a frequent eater of ice cream but have chosen to get Ben and Jerrys pints at 7/11 over Main Street sweets.

Ive been going here for the last couple years and Ive tried over 50 flavors. (Yes, I have kept track, like I said, addicted). They have many seasonal flavors, and rotated flavors. From the ever present Oreo Bomb and Main Street Special (Coffee Ice cream with fudge swirl and chocolate chunks) to Pumpkin and Apple Pie in the Fall, and Peppermint stick in the winter.

A great old fashioned ice cream shop on the outskirts of the big city. The prices are great and the ice cream is made fresh on the premises. Those interested in Apple pie or brownie Ala mode will be in heaven here.
