According some City Guides and also our Grey Line Hop On n Hop Off City Tour Guide this place should serve the best Ice Cream in the whole New York! So as we made a short break through the Night Line @ this famous Brooklyn Bridge we gave it a try. Furthermore I need to go to the restroom anyway :D Its situated just under the Brooklyn Bridge on the other site of the Hudson River, where you could park your car and enjoy the fantastic view from the Dock. It was a little shocky to face this venue as it looked rather left out... They offer regular flavors of Scoop Ice Cream, Sundaes, Banana Split as well as Milk Shakes. Thats it! And well for one scoop of Ice Cream which costs us 5 Bucks plus tax/service we indeed expected much more comfort! I couldnt say much about the taste... We got simple Chocolate, Strawberry and Vanilla Flavors eventhough their Sundaes and Banana Split look so alluring to my eyes. Frankly, it tasted better than any regular Ice Cream for sure, but I wont crown them to be NYs Best Ice Cream though... As for the service, its common to be served by a friendly waiter or cashier in the US- so couldnt add more star to that ;)

O sorvete realmente é muito bom, tomei o sorvete de butter pecan e de chocolate com pedaço de chocolate+ cone sugar. Amei! Som ambiente descolado. Preço com impostos inclusos. Vista simplesmente linda. Voltarei mil vezes. Serviço nota 10. The butter pecan ice cream and chocolate chocolate chunck icem cream are amazing!!! Service is great. I paid 6,50 for 2 scoop. Price is expensive but its worth to pay to have one. You can to sit down inside the factory or outside the fatory to eat ice cream.

Stumbled on this place strolling along the scenic Brooklyn bridge area and really glad that i did. The ice cream taste and texture is just perfect. There is a small selection when it comes to flavors but Id rather pick from a few great options rather than a whole lot of mediocre ones. I particularly liked the double chocolate and butter pecan. The Oreo sandwich they make is really good as well. They offer cup or cones. The staff is really great and even when the place was packed they were able to give me a decent amount of time to pick out and try flavors... even help me decide based on my preferences. As for space its fairly cramped inside, yet still feels cozy. There is limited seating but honestly if the weather is good theres no reason to stay inside really. Overall great experience and cant wait to go back and try out some of the other flavors.

Success finally came to the park when they have a short line! The line moved at a reasonable pace. My only gripe about waiting on line is the flow of patrons, they have one entry/exit door so it jams up at the door and it is very distracting to carry a conversation when constantly dodge people or shuffling around to allow a baby carriage through. I ordered the the daily special flavor which was blueberry. It has a light blueberry taste which complimented the Vanilla base. Didnt like the texture the frozen blueberry created, wished the blueberries pieces were smaller because the blueberry pieces were quite large and they were like frozen berries pieces that didnt compliment the smooth creamy ice cream base. The chocolate milkshake was heavy and decadent, but I cant complain about it during a hot summer evening, it held its cold temperature well.

If youre visiting DUMBO area, one of the food stops you should probably make is here. Theyre right along the waterfront and they have about 8 different flavors. Nothing out of the ordinary... just your vanilla/chocolate type ice cream options. The catch is they have 2 lines which is VERY confusing. One line to order inside the building, another line to order ice cream on their outside stand. The outside stand DOES NOT receive orders for the sundaes or banana splits so make sure you get in the right line! At $4/scoop you get a HUGE scoop which probably equates to two normal scoops (The boyfriend and I can share). Add a 50 cent waffle cone and youve got yourself a creamy, flavorful and large portion of goodness on a hot day.

Still one of the best! Loved the peaches & cream and the special flavor raspberry with chocolate chunk. Its true that one scoop in a dish (i.e. a cup) is still the best bang for your buck in terms of amount (the amount of ice cream is almost the same between 1/2/3 scoops) but it is nice to have the variety of flavors. I love how they reorganized inside, as a result the lines move MUCH faster than they used to. By the way, if you are unsure about a flavor, you can ask for a sample to try. Also, their ice cream is old fashioned, so its made with no eggs. it will taste different if youve never tried it (think a dense frozen yogurt without the acidic tang). P.S. Still a cash only place.

I really like how this is like a tiny light house serving traditional ice cream next to the Brooklyn Bridge. This ice cream factory seems to be tiny, but draws a large crowd, especially during the weekends, where you might find yourself waiting from up to an hour just for artisanal ice cream. Im a huge fan of ice cream, so I decided to get the three scoop in a cup; make sure to ask for the flavor of the day, because youll be glad that you did. After getting your scoops, you can sit outside with an amazing view of Brooklyn Bridge, and Manhattan. Highly recommended if you want to find a romantic place for a date! ;)

Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory served rich, delicious ice cream with an assortment of flavors to choose from, some of the classic flavors are the best, cant go wrong choosing them. I was feeling adventurous and decided to go for three scoops of deliciousness. It was super fulfilling and I was stuffed for a while, but I have no regrets! Im ready to go back for more. One of my scoops, I chose coffee, it was very good, but just a warning, the coffee is so rich and you can almost taste the caffeine, so if youre not a huge coffee drinker, ask for a sample before you commit to a scoop! Im definitely planning to go back!

There are few things better on a warm summer day than walking on the Brooklyn Heights, going to Brooklyn Bridge Park, and then getting ice cream at the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory. Beware the extremely long lines though. A way around the long lines is to get their ice cream from the outdoor vendor across from the building entrance. They have most of the selections youll find inside but they dont have the toppings, etc. But, saving 20 minutes in line makes this option well worth it. The ice cream is excellent. Definitely on par with Ample Hills.
