Had to eat here TWICE while in town from Palm Springs CA! OMG! Diners Drive Ins and Dives was spot on! Karen and her food are OUTSTANDING!! We started with the complementary Tom Oil, which is this spicy tomato sauce served on a plate with the most freshest bread! YUMMO! I could have made a meal out of that! We shared 3 plates; Chicken Riggie which by the name is Wicky Wicky Hot and YUMMY Chicken Rigatoni with a Kick! We then did the 4 Cheese Lasagna AWESOME!! And then the topper was the Duck bacon pizza with pomegranate drizzle!! This place is so good within the week I was back with more family! We revisited the Wicky Wicky Chicken Riggies, and tried the Penne pasta with Vodka sauce! Great pasta dishes! We tried the desserts this time and the Chocolate Pudding was the best Semi Sweet but not too sweet chocolate served in a ramekin. Now the service was outstanding, and the owner Karen and her partner were so gracious when they found out how far I traveled to eat at Pastabilities. Karen is so humble and thanked me both times for visiting and even gave me a hug goodbye! Can you put her in a bottle and sell her enthusiasm and passion? If not can you open a Pastabilities here in the Desert? Now .....How can I order this Tom Oil??? LOVED this place! Loved the Food and Loved the Owner! Try it out!

My wife and I have dined at Pastabilities in Syracuse several times in the past and really enjoy the menu and the great staff. We went there for dinner on Valentines day. { My wife is a gluten free vegan and they have wonderful gluten free pasta.} We arrived for dinner just after five and was told that the wait would be around and hour and a half. We sat at the bar and had a few drinks and were seated at 6.15. The dinner was wonderful, pasta with vegetables and oil for my wife and I had Lobster ravioli. When we were done eating the manager came to our table and told us that we should really consider getting desert, even if it was to go because our dinner was on the house! Every Valentines day they pick a few couples and pay for their dinner. I was astonished. What a wonderful way to end our Valentines day. Not only is the food and atmosphere great but the staff and management are top shelf. Thanks you Pastabilities for making our Valentines day so special.

Lunch- Pastas is a Syracuse tradition always fresh, excellent salads, pasta and bread. I had the penne with Walnut, oil and broccoli very tasty. I really wish there were more vegan options. Example the pasta choice is gluten free and vegan, I would have liked a dried imported semolina option Wegmans has some great stuff. Nutritional yeast flakes on the spice table is a nice touch, sauteed mushrooms alternative to meatballs or better yet vegan meatballs easy to make. Also the signature spicy tomato oil have you tried making it with agave instead of honey? Today thier are many vegan choices in mayo flavored and regular even truffle, many cant tell the difference how about more vegan salad choices. Just saying, you get my recommendation and return business please consider the ever growing vegan community... Cheers!

The food is delicious- definitely worth waiting an hour. We had the burrata and roasted baby beet appetizers and then chicken riggies and fettuccini and meatballs for dinner. The riggies are spicy- which I love- I thought they were excellent. The fettuccini was also good; the meatballs have a blessed fennel/more sausage like seasoning to them which I thought was tasty but my girlfriend didnt care for. The bread was fantastic too and comes with sauce to dip it in. Our server was great as was the support staff. The downfalls were that you will probably have to wait (no reservations taken) its super loud inside and the chairs slide out on the wood floor so that you hit the table or chair behind you without meaning to. Thats a little awkward. Overall Id definitely go back when Im in Syracuse again.

This is a great place to stop for lunch with kids. We stopped while on our way from Ontario to Boston. Its 2 minutes off I 81 or I 690. The neighborhood is safe and full of restaurants. If you pull in at lunchtime, dont be discouraged, even if the line is out the door (it was when we were there, but we were sitting with our food in 15 mins.) The line moves quickly and there are plenty of tables. The cafeteria-style lunch provides top-end pasta and salads at very good prices. The food is all fresh and excellent quality. Our family of five paid $40 for 3 salads, 4 pasta dishes, a meatball sub, and beer. Separately, Id give Pastabilities 4 stars for the value and 4 stars for the quality of food. For the two together, Ill give Pastabilities 5 stars.

Great food and a staple in downtown syracuse. Must try the stretch bread and hot tomato oil if you havent as both are fresh, made local and a highlight of the Syracuse food scene. There is almost always a crowd and dinner prices are a bit high. The cafeteria style lunch is a great option on weekdays because you can pick from soups, salad, pasta, and pizza for a great price. This lunch option is very popular with people working downtown but also a great place to meet a friend for lunch. The opening of this restaurant began the transformation and improvement of downtown Syracuse and I appreciate the people that supported the opening of this amazing place.

my husband and I are on a road trip and we said we will stop and eat at pastabilities, after watching the show diners, drive-ins dives. all I can say is 5 stars is not enough. we had calamari as an appetizer and hot oil with tomatoe and the bread is something else. main course pasta clam sauce and I had pasta pesto and dessert was tiramisu. all to die for. if that was not good enough our waitress Danielle was the icing on the cake. so attentive kind and caring and to top it off the owners daughter said hi. we were wobbling to our car with left overs and others things we bought. what a wonderful experience. thank you so much.

My first visit and Im looking forward to my next. We arrived with a wait time of approximately 30 min and enjoyed the great service at the bar. This place is a gem. The server, Stephen was a pro. - courteous, knowledgeable & personable. The food for our party of 4 was delicious. We ordered the short ribs, chicken riggies, bolognese & vodka cream. I had the braised short ribs pappadelle and it was outstanding! The bar cocktails were perfection. We had dessert that continued the pleasure. Im a serious foodie and chef - my sincere thank you to all of the people responsible for a delicious and fun experience.

This place is amazing. My girlfriend and I couldnt have been happier with our meals. First she drank her wine, and I had a delicious old Tom Collins. Then we enjoyed the bread and hot tomato oil. Finally oue entrees arrived I was floored by the delicious flavor from the Thai peanut chicken, the sauce was amazing. My girlfriend enjoyed her basil walnut pesto pasta, it was a heaping portion that she couldnt even finish. The staff was incredible, our waitress was very energetic and happy to serve us. If you havent been you need to try this place. I am excited to go back and try more food.
