The waitress who was wearing a sweatshirt with the name "Monika" on the back was our server. She was giving us attitude before my girlfriend and I even came in. I asked her about the "schnitzel" and she told me it was a cutlet. I then said "Oh, no thanks, Ill take the rotisserie chicken." When she gave us our order she gave me the schnitzel and I politely said I ordered the chicken not the schnitzel and she blew up on me. "YOU NEVER SAID THAT!" and stormed off. She then proceeded to badmouth us to her coworkers very blatantly while giving us dirty looks. When I got the chicken it was cold, salty and disgusting. What the hell kind of business is this?

Oh, cmon! It hurts me giving my favorite place two stars. I love this place! The food is delicious, but whoever runs this operation should taken his/her head out of the improper place, because everything we have ordered wasnt available things you would expect at a German restaurant - but we found it out when the food came already: no pretzels (because they are forezen) what?!?, no sauerkraut?!? - ran out... natürlich?!? No German chocolate cake - here is some store-bought cheesecake instead?!? What happend to that wine? Why did you bring that? I didnt order that. Get your things together. I want this place run like a German railroad

I have been to nunberger many times over the past few years and I have never been disappointed. The food is excellent and the staff is always polite and very helpful since I cant pronounce half the things on the menu. On a few occasions the owner was at the restaurant and when your about to leave her always thanks you and whoever your with for coming to his restaurant he is a gentleman.

Sauerbraten was dry and flavorless. I dont think they marinated it long enough. The potato dumpling was devoid of flavor. The red cabbage was good. Not sure if they added sugar. The Riesling was really good. The fried potatoes were really good. The fried onions were good. My dad got a bad pour of beer - half foam. Service was good. Food came slow.

1. Pretty much frozen pumpernickel bread was served to us. 2. The sausage was the wurst Ive ever had. It was spoiled and I think I might have food poisoning. 3. The sauerbraten was not authentic German cuisine. My advice to my fellow diners, stop in get a pretzel, get a few beers, and thats it. The food was terrible. Go to Killmeyers instead.

Excellent food whether youre on the restaurant side or on the bierhalle side. The staff is friendly and will make great recommendations for their VERY expansive beer selection! Very relaxed and welcoming environment. They will have live bands sometimes (music varies). Overall 100% genuine German cuisine, beer and service.

This place has a great atmosphere and the waitresses are nice. The food and beer are incredibly delicious. The prices are very reasonable and not as expensive as the German Restaurant in Bay Ridge Brooklyn. P.S. Just in case I forgot to mention it, the food is incredible and am impressed every time I come in here.

Excellent food and great beer. Their portions are large but their prices arent. The Spaetzel with cheese and onions and the Wiener Rahmgulasch are both delicious. The space is small, so either come off hours or be prepared to wait - but really, youre waiting at the bar with good beer, so is there really a problem?

Beer selection is a solid if not slightly underwhelming selection of popular German beers. Still, the food is absolutely delicious, the atmosphere is intimate and beerhalley, and I always have a wonderful time with or without live music playing. When a band is playing, add another half star.

This is the place to go for German food and beers in Staten Island. Service is very friendly and the food is excellent. This is big juicy porkchops with gravy, lots of potatoes, salad, spaetzel. This is great to eat in the Winter. Wash it all down with giant size beers.

Waited 45 minutes for a table that was empty the whioe time. Waitress forgot about us after we ordered no drinks until after food arrived. Meat was tough and not eatable. I had saurbraten. Will never ever eat their again Bartender was nice. .

The food is great, as are the assortment of German beers. In the summer the Biergarten rocks! Awesome place! Once i got friends from Brooklyn and Manhattan to come try it out, they now call me to ask when were going back!

The Spaetzel was amazing. The beer was great. The schnitzel was as good as Germans can make it. All the food there was great. Im actually taking more hours at work so I can go here more often. Hahaha
