The Dublin House is a great casual place to enjoy a meal or beverage with friends and family. We especially like to go after shopping or visiting Red Bank at the holidays! I love the cozy downstairs dining room with the fireplace lit and all the Christmas greenery and wreaths! The food is great! Casual, pub style homey fare, such as their great fish & chips or Shepard s Pie for lunch, or more traditional American fare if you prefer:) Dinner meals range from casual to full entrées, cozy and cheerful in front of the fire:) Spring and summer are just as nice, with the option to dine or have drinks al fresco. A friend took us to Dublin House at least 10 or more years ago the 1st time and everyone I have been with, as well as myself, have enjoyed it just as much every time! ENJOY! A GREAT CASUAL CHOICE FOR DRINKS, SNACKS OR A MEAL WHEN IN RED BANK! Parking on Monmouth Street or HUGE parking lot from rear entrance on White Street. :)

I thought I would start the New Year by taking my wife to brunch. My wife ordered the Irish omlet that came to the table with raw egg running out of it. The server apologized and took it back to be redone. We waited long enough for me to have finished my plate when the omlet returned still raw. Instead of remaking it the cook put the original under the Salamander , which dried out the top and warmed the plate. The server was again very apologetic and went to get the manager. He returned without him or her and offered to remove the charge from the bill. He could see my wife who was still hungry was very upset and he left and came back to tell us he was allowed to offer us two drinks for our trouble, which we declined. Invisible management , poorly prepared food, great server who tried very hard to make things right. The owner should make him the manager, at least he expressed concern and tried to make things right.

The food was amazing the atmosphere was beyond incridble. The bad review goes for the service. Once we stepped foot inside the receptionist looked high. The waitress messed our order up. And the worst part our check was 50 bucks, so we put a hundred bill and waited for the change. We waited and waited.... then we called the waitress and asked her for the change and she said i didnt think you need the change back.. so I told her no, we want it. She through the change without saying a sorry, what was she thinking?that i am gonna tip her 100% of my check. She was pretty rude. I usually give a 20% tip but that service and attitude deserved nothing. I went away with no intintion of coming back.

Night before St. Pattys Day it was like any other rowdy Sports Bar. 3 Bouncers trolling the place, and NO Irish music. I was disappointed in one of my favorite places because they took on the "were the greatest, but have to guard the place against drunks and rowdies" attitude. You have to spend a small fortune on the new digital jukebox/photo booth machine to hear Irish music. Its the night before St. Pattys!! At least have a fiddler in the corner.. or an Irish trio. Very sports like bar-ish last night (Mar. 16)..gone is the charm.. in with the brutish bouncers. Was sad to see that.

As an Irish person in the area, I decided to pop in and ask about the area. Been polite myself and my friend decided to purchase a drink, both alchoholic beverages. I was refused on the basis that my irish ID was not valid (please note i was giving this to an Irish man) I then proceeded to give him my passport which was followed by very ride comments and attitude. He then proceeded to tell me that there would be no free drink "just because where I am from" even though I had the money on the counter including my tip. I hope these change they change their attitude, to ALL nationalities.

the renovations made to the building itself are incredible! A beautiful old Victorian house on its last legs was rescued and brought back to life by these guys! The food is decent and reasonably priced. The staff is friendly and takes good care of the customers. I caught a really great Irish group called Trinity there on a Monday night and now I go on a regular basis to hear them. It made me feel like I was back in Ireland again. The music, way the building looks and feels, everything reminds me of Ireland. This is a place you can enjoy year round, inside and outside!

outside, it looks like an old southern house. Inside it is a very nice clean Irish bar and restaurant. The bar area can get a little crowded during the weekends with some testy patrons, but just ignore them. The dining area is very nice and can seat large groups together if need be. There is also an upstairs area as well for dining. The food is well prepared and the drink specialties are very good as well. Nice place to go with a group for meals and drinks.

"SECURITY" there is terrible. I watched a group of seven guys savagely beat another customer out back while a bouncer stood by and watched while two other customers who were leaving the bar stopped to break up the beating. After the attack the bouncer welcomed the group back inside to continue drinking. It seems that security there consists of checking IDs at the door and nothing more. They are not there to look out for the well being of customers.

Is it a GREAT restaurant? No, but it doesnt pretend to be. But the recent renovations have turned this place into a real Irish pub - not a "designer" Irish pub that have sprung up here and there. The food is good pub fare, the pints are poured right, and theres even real Irish music being played live and informally on a regular basis. During the warm weather you gotta love that outdoor seating!

The food here is so good. My girlfriend and I ordered the popcorn shrimp appetizer with thai mango sauce and it was out of this world.. for an entree I ordered the Penne Pesto and my girlfriend ordered Penne a la Vodka.. both were by far the best weve ever had. Definitely a GREAT spot to eat outdoors, huge patio, wait service right outside.. loved it, very reasonably priced, will be going back!

The Dublin House a better watering hole then restaurant. Perfect meeting place or after dinner drink spot. Warm weather, the outdoor bar is great fun and usually a talented band. One small complaint, last few times it seems like the "OCCUPY" Red Bank crowd has been out in force. Not a snob, but the I am a poor bohemian college student look isnt cool in your 30s..or 20s for that matter.

Authentic Irish Pub in downtown Red Bank. great place to grab a beer or some great Pub food. They have a outdoor area which is great when the weather is nice.If you like beer stop here with some friends or family. If your in the area Downtown Red Bank has a great deal to offer and the Dublin House is one place you should stop.

A top-choice place for drinks or dinner, right in lovely Red Bank! Its a bit cramped, so ensure you arrive early if youre in town for an event. The menu - an afterthought at many so-called "Irish Bars" - is well thought out and expertly executed. Service is fast and friendly. Whats not to love about this place!
