Now the service here was nice, our waitress was pretty good (she took some time refilling drinks and/or getting to us, which is strange as the place was nearly empty), but the food was incredibly lacking. If money had been the issue, this would probably have been a much worse review, but all in all it was the food that really makes me not want to go back again. The rolls (sushi) were tiny, and felt and tasted as if they put the bare minimum of anything in it. It rice barely covered the outside of each peace. The dumplings also left something to be desired. The dessert wasnt up to par, and one of our cakes was still frozen solid on the bottom (making it quite hard to eat). The best thing we had was the fried calamari, and really anyone can make that and make it well, it takes no skill what so ever. If youre looking for a place like this, I suggest simply taking the ferry to some of the better places in Manhattan or Williamsburg. The price will be less, the layout will be as nice, and the food will be ten times better. Absolutely not going here again.

The food was very good but the staff and management were horriable . The manager was nasty to my wife when she asked where the bathroom was. The waiter would just disappear for long periods of time and he forgot a lot of things we ordered. When we told the waiter to forget about the things that he forgot to bring out to us he said ok but still charged us for it. After I had to show the manager the things he forgot and made him remove it from the bill.for a party of seven people we were there for four hours.would not recommend this place to anyone I know just because of the service and respect that we revived from the staff.

Last 2 times my family had gone we had experienced poor service. Girlfriend went about a week ago and got sick the day after, never thought to make the connection to fushimi until I ate there yesterday. Was sick the entire evening throwing up until this morning where I felt a little better after clearing out my stomach. Clearly something in the food as that was all i had to eat that day. (Entree was dry and felt as if it was reheated)

A little pricey and weird combination of foods example risotto with Japanese, however food is great. The real reason I removed a star was that I ordered an oriental steak that came with potato sticks and they wouldnt allow me to substitute it for fried rice. HaD to pay an additional $10 on top of the $30 or so for my dish to get rice.

Fun, young atmosphere due to decor and lounge area. Sushi is very good although pricey. You pay for the atmosphere, decor and for the sushi which is creatively prepared. Not your regular around the corner sushi spot. The lights are dimmed inside so its a good place to for a date ;)

Weve been to this place several times before but the last time the food was plain and mediocre, calamary dish was oily and rubbery, lobster tastless, cappucino was cold, and the service was so so. That place a was top notch, itll be a while before Id go back there..

Appetizers were awesome. Good flavor. Sushi however was just OK. The meat was lacking flavor compared to other sushi places and one of my pieces was very tough. Possibly a bad cut. Had the chicken parmesan. Chicken was dry and flaverless.

Great place for sushi, always fresh and the staff there are awesome. Cant go wrong with the sushi choices. Great place for meetings or a date. Very little parking and can get crowded on the weekends.
