Very disappointed by staff in early September Food was ok chicken a little dry but it was late. Initially the guy, with red hair, closing up was personable. However, order for chicken n fries was $8 on menu. He said "thats $9.00", I asked why nine he said "tax!", I told him he couldnt make up his own tax, and he began to argue it. I reinformed him NYC is 8.75% and he never even rang it up. Sohe went to throw the difference at me and I said I wasnt arguing the 40 cents but the idea he just made up a tax and didnt enter it in register so I refused it and walked out.......took the chicken tho cause I was hungry....haha. But sure didnt sit well. I dont blame the restaurant cause it may the result of an untrustworthy employee they need to deal with...but,.if it was the owner shame on him. Too bad I was looking forward to a nearby Bbq Spot!

Get the chicken lunch special. 5.95 for a plate of delicious 1/4 chicken and rice and beans (can sub in fries). Its much better if you eat it there. People looking for traditional smoked BBQ are out of luck. This isnt Mighty Quinn or Hometown. This is especially relevant if you came for some ribs and expected succulent fall-off-the-bone bbq. Dont order them unless youre looking for a "different" experience (but if you do get some get the pork ribs). They do carry BBQ sauce thats decent (a little sweet for me) and they carry Brazilian guarana. My wife and I are settling into a weekly lunch routine there.

Had the rib sandwich. Meat was chunks of delicate tender meat pulled from the rib with just the right amount of smoke, served on a brioche bun. Sauces are sweet barbeque, and a spicy chile vinegar. The sandwich comes with the sweet on it, then I added the chile to add a little kick. This place really knows how to run a good pit, it is good old boy Southerner approved.

This place was unbelievable. I spotted it one day coming home and seeing how I love BBQ I went there the next day. The service is great and the people who work there are very friendly. The food is AMAZING, everything is fresh and high quality and they give generous portions of the food. I could not even finish my whole plate. If you havent been yet...go ASAP

Would of been a great customer that went there all the time but they were very cheap with meat. it was all fat and bone and when we asked them about it they said its supposed to be like that. So instead of arguing about it we just decided to leave it alone.because you can tell are cutting corners as much as they can.

They advertise that they deliver but when I put an order in for delivery I was told rudely since I was 8 minutes away(I looked it up I was 1.3 miles away) I should come pick it up myself and that they wouldnt deliver so I cancelled my order.

Great food, owner was very nice and cheerful. Salad was a little plain, but that was my bad for not specifying my tastes. Chicken and ribs were really good. Salad, entry and two drinks came out to be around $30, great prices.

The food was good , a small cute place . Owners daughter in law was very nice until she started talking about her opinions on who is poisoning the country and politics . Made it very uncomfortable for my husband and myself.

Chicken was tasty if a little dry and there was plenty of rice. They dont provide enough beans for my taste. A solid spot for decent BBQ chicken. Also the only place on SI where Ive found Brazilian guarana soda.

Food was not worth its price. BBQ on the side, Ribs over cooked and dried, chicken dry as well and French fries soggy. Food was not satisfactory, well food delivered wasnt.

Similar to a Portuguese BBQ. Chicken, rice, and beans consistently fresh and affordable. Ribs are not worth it because they are tiny pieces. They deliver and do pick ups.

Decent food, a bit dry.. Do not order plantains, cause they are really bad. Entrees are $18 and $20 so it is not cheap... And there is no notice but it is BYOB...
