Honestly, I was SO skeptical to try this place because of the horrible reviews being left recently, but my best friends were visiting this weekend, we all love sushi, and this was the only place we could find within walking distance of downtown. So we decided to take a chance and try it out. I have to say we were VERY pleasantly surprised. The interior is quaint and clean. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and the sushi was excellent! We ordered the Black Dragon Roll special, the Spicy salmon special, the Beauty and the Beast Roll, a Rainbow Roll, and two combo boxes (substituting spicy tuna for the California rolls for a small extra price). I have to say, the sushi was fresh, the presentation EXCELLENT and the portion size was definitely above average (which was nice to see because Ive been to some overpriced places with very small portions)!! As a side, the sake was also some of the best sake Ive ever had. We started with two miso soups and two salads (w/ginger dressing) and they were both very good as well :) I dont know what the others reviewers are on about, but Ive tried MANY a sushi restaurant and, outside of San Francisco, this was some of the best Ive ever had!! Sushi Thai Garden is a GREAT little place and an excellent choice for sushi in the Saratoga area! My boyfriend and I just moved here and will absolutely be returning every time we need to satisfy our sushi cravings :) PS- I will admit this review is ONLY for sushi. We did not try an of the thai food, so I cannot comment on that aspect of the restaurant.

I agree greatly with the last review. We thought it looked fantastic and decided to stop in and try it when we first moved up here and had nothing to cook with at our new house. The food wasnt all that good and the service was horrible. The bathrooms werent clean at all! We have 2 small children and while the waitresses thought my oldest was adorable, the wait staff was hovering around us at all times like we were taking too long; even when we were waiting for our order! As soon as my youngest (only 6wks at the time!) woke up and started complaining about food, I noticed dirty looks from some of the waiters as if I was disturbing the other 6 patrons! My husband and I felt the service was so bad that he didnt tip them and was confronted as we were putting the children into the car to go home. He flat out told them that they were not friendly, they were hovering while we ate (I absolutely cannot eat if someone is WATCHING me eat so half my meal went to waste), and that they were rushing us. We have no intention to ever return and Ive warned friends about it as well.

The Thai food is typically bland. The sushi is awful. And everything on the menu is horribly overpriced. My husband and I have been here a few times, and every time we wonder why we went. The service is wonderful, Ill give them that. They are attentive but not obnoxiously so. The atmosphere is nice but is sometimes chilly in the winter months. Wouldnt necessarily recommend it, but as far as sushi goes in Saratoga there arent a lot of great options. Would highly recommend Satsuma Japanese in downtown Ballston Spa - their sushi is wonderful and they are quite friendly. Also Mr. Fuji in Clifton Park - excellent. Both places are much more reasonably priced and the food is much better.

Disagree with the fellow who said the quality has diminished over time. One thing I love about this place is that its consistently good. Order a dish multiple times and its always the same good quality, good flavor. The sashimi is fair compared to NYC. All other dishes are quite good, although not quite authentic. End the meal with the sticky rice in cream sauce with sesame and mango. Throughout the meal, order many glasses of the Thai, jasmine iced tea with heavy cream floating on the top.

By far the best Asian restaurant I have ever been to. The food is delicious and always fresh. Beautiful presentation and very clean. Incredibly reasonable (Two appetizers, two sushi entrees, and two desserts costed me less than $50 including the tip!). Wait staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the food. They have food I cannot make myself/find anywhere else. My boyfriend and I go at least once a month. Highly recommended.

This is a pretty place aimed at the tourist trade and the prices are accordingly a bit higher than youd like. But the quality of the ingredients and prep is excellent so youre likely to be satisfied with what you get. They do a particularly good job on tempura, which Ive had as part of the bento box. On the Thai side Ive had tom kha ga and panang curry and both were good specimens though I wish the portions were bigger.

I am a huge fan of Thai food and not one to write reviews, but I felt I had to say something about this place. I so badly wanted it to be good because its the only Thai food in Saratoga but have always been disappointed. I decided to give it one last try, so I ordered the Pad Thai. It was so flavorless I swear I was eating plain rice noodles with no sauce. I had to throw it away! Dont waste your money.

This was a very nice experience for my fiance and I. We ordered the Melon Curry with tofu, the Chicken Pad Thai, and a spicy hand roll. The curry was delicious with just the right amount of spice(she asked for half spice). Hand roll was small but amazing with very good fresh spiced tuna, and the Pad Thai was much better than others Ive had and for less to boot. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone!

Coming from Rhode Island its not the best sushi around. The fish seemed a bit bland and the rolls were mediocre. The atmosphere is great though and the other food is great as well. Just dont order sushi if you are expecting something amazing because you might be underwhelmed. Try the fried rice options and combo plates.

Everything I have ever had from here is top notch. Thai iced tea is magic! Curries are so lovely. Literally everything Ive ever had, is the best. And the people are so nice. Its a wonderful experience I always love to go here and take out. One of my favorite places in town.

About the only thing done well here is the Thai fried rice or the Pad Thai. All the other dishes lack flavor, presentation, and the price per portion is outrageous. Overhyped for sure. Hibachi in Saratoga has fresher sushi too and at half the price!

A solid Thai restaurant. Clean, and the staff is friendly and attentive, even late in the evening. Ordered the Vegetable Soup and the Pad Thai, both of which were great - especially the Pad Thai!

Worst Panag chicken and Massman curry I have tasted - It was very bland. Good service though. It was quite busy on a Friday night. Would not recommend to someone who loves real Thai food.

Anything on the menu is amazing, including the Pad Thai (above) and Lunch Bento Box #3 (lower place above.) Never had a bad experience in over 100 times eating here. Would recommend.

I was not impressed at all. I have been to quite a few different thai restaurants and was really excited about coming here and I was very disappointed.
