Wow I have never been more disappointed by a sushi place, and since its my favorite food, its something I have had a lot of up and down the east coast. Every other sushi place Ive gone to, one order of sushi a la carte gives you two pieces. This place gave one, but still charged you as if they were two pieces. I paid $7 for two pieces of eel/unagi sushi. $6 for two pieces of mackerel, salmon, and tuna each. And the skinniest pieces Ive ever seen! All you can eat Chinese buffets have done better and at least they dont have the gall to gouge you. I paid $60 overall for some sushi and some rolls, and they didnt even completely fill two of those trays youd get in take-out sushi from a supermarket. I feel like Ive been scammed. Their quality wasnt all that either so they dont have that excuse to hide behind. I will not be spending any more money here ever, and I recommend you do the same. If you want good sushi in this area, go to Osaka in Wilton and get your moneys worth.

This year my family and I tried Izumi Sushi on fathers day. We have not tried it since it was Pacific Grill (which I thought to be the best sushi and Asian food in Saratoga - everything was always fresh and tasty but like other reviews stated the atmosphere was pretty dark and dreary). The atmosphere has not changed at all but the quality and freshness of the food has dropped significantly. We ordered some sashimi, sushi, rolls, and habachi for the table. All of their sushi was expensive and the rolls were mediocre quality. The sushi and sashimi were $3.50 per order, and with eel it was only a single piece. The sashimi and sushi pieces did not seem very fresh and were smaller than most comparable restaurants in the area. We were extremely disappointed with the dinner as a whole and spent more money than our typical sushi dinners. Absolutely will not be returning.

We often go to Izumi for sushi since moving to Saratoga over a year ago. We have been very pleased in the past, though last night we ordered the "sushi for two" as takeout, and I was a bit disappointed. I am by no means a sushi expert, (except for the fact that I have eaten it fairly consistently over the past 3-4 years), but the Nigiri was very small in portion size, and the fish was a bit mealy in texture, though it tasted alright. There was not much rice included with each piece. Also, the greens that were used as garnish had a funny smell to them, like they were getting old. Of course we did not actually eat the garnish, but it did affect the overall experience. I hope that the next time we return the quality has improved to what it used to be.

Izumi is a cavernous space full of dark booths that used to be a steakhouse. I find the the atmosphere depressing, especially during off season when its usually near empty. A lot of people seem to like the sushi here but I find it very predictable: no unusual fish or imaginative combinations. So why three stars? Because my kids like it! And they are indeed nice to families and the service is pretty quick, so keep that in mind if youre walking down Putnam Street and the family is starving. Also, though the fish does not taste particularly fresh, Ive never had an "off" piece here.

The greyest, chewiest, fattiest, strangest cut of beef in the beef pepper garlic sauce I have ever had! Absolutely inedible. The cashew chili chicken should be called cashew chile onions with a few pieces of chicken. The miso soup was very salty and tasted full of MSG. The rating system made me at least give it one star and that is a stretch! The gouza potstickers were flavorful. The delivery driver was very courteous and prompt. I have a call in to the establishment waiting to hear from management either for an excuse or hopefully an apology and a refund.

Worst Thai and Chinese food have every tried. Ordered Thai food from menu and food tasted like a typical Chinese take out restaurant food. Can tell that the cook has no clue of Thai food. The waitress seemed least interested in even talking to us. Was browsing her phone while we were waiting for her to come by the table. Wonder how this place still survives in the middle of such wonderful restaurants in downtown Saratoga springs. Will never visit this place again and try to keep knownnpeople away.

This place is a fusion of Thai and Japanese cuisine. I would give this place a 7 out of 10. I had a Groupon which made it worth it. I wouldnt go there if I didnt. Some of the sushi is over priced. Their other food items are pretty good. If you dont have a coupon for this place I would go elsewhere.

The best in Toga so far. Discovered it last weekend. We had sushi and Thai. Sushi was very good and Thai was also good. Mind you, this isnt the City, but for here its very good and reasonably priced. Overall price point meets quality. I would definitely recommend to family and friends. .

Delivery took almost two hours (so far, still hasnt arrived) and the owner told me that if I "care" about the drivers safety that I will need to wait another half hour, possibly longer. Would not refund my order. Not ordering here again.

Favorite sushi place in downtown Saratoga. We love sitting in the patio and listening to music in the summer. This place has a ton of options for what ever your diet warrants. The sweet potato rolls are amazing!!

Not impressed... Delivery took 1 hour 15 mins after being told it would be at our door in 45 mins. Food was not hot. Seasame chicken was chewy & pad tai was bland. Will not be ordering from here again!
