We went for the lunch buffet on a Saturday. The atmosphere was formal/casual and quiet yet busy. We werent left ignored at all. The food was sooooo delicious, fresh and hot. It was also creative! It wasnt Americanized too much at all. They also offered complimentary mango lassi, Indian chai, galub jamin (sp), rice pudding and rasmalai, all which was super-delicious! It was $13.99 but you get so much more for what you pay. I cant wait to come back!

We went to lunch on Saturday at Raj Mahal. The buffet was upscale compared to most of the Indian restuarants in the area. Included in the buffet were dosa, plenty of vegetarian and meat options, three desserts, mango lassi, and chai tea. The staff was very courteous. There was a proper discount for our children (under the age of 5). Best of all, the cleanliness and display were excellent. Highly recommended.

So this is the only decent place that served decent Indian food - and believe me coz Im Indian. So again, compared to all other Indian places on rochester, the food is nicer, made fresh and owners are nice. We order from here regularly.. the quality can go up and down but usually its good.. that is why we continue to order food from here.. recommended for the indian taste!!

Absolutely amazing experience. A wonderful mix between North and South Indian dishes, all spiced well, fresh and limitless in the buffet! The staff was nice and friendly and will bring you fresh Naan from the kitchen straight to your table if you request. My only regret is that my stomach wasnt bigger so I could have eaten more!

The buffet is consistently amazing. Food is always great. I dont have any other words to describe it, its just the best. Ive tried almost all the other Indian restaurants near Rochester (tandoor, thali, amaya, etc) and nothing else comes close to how good Raj Mahal is. Its like comparing fast food to a home made meal

The Raj Mahal may be one of Rochesters best kept secrets. The Raj apparently uses the same chef from the original Raj Mahal on Monroe Ave. Expect some of the best, if not THE best Indian food youve had -- and cordial staff in a very pleasant setting. Highly recommended. My wife and I cant wait to get back.

Well, they just set my new standard for Indian food in America. My only problem is that all Indian that I eat from now on will be compared to this place. The most gracious amazing hostess as well. My drink was NEVER empty and I drink a lot of water fast with food as perfectly spiced as this was.

Food was great. Got the spicy lamb curry and the spice lived up to its name. The restaurant was quiet, the staff were polite and friendly. The bathrooms werent too nice but lets be honest, youre there for the food not to take a dump. Would definitely go again and recommend it to other people.

The second incarnation of my favorite Indian restaurant. I haunted this place when it was on Monroe ave, then with all the building downtown the restaurant was gone. Now back in business and open in Henrietta, this is hands down the best buffet, and a la carte in town for Indian.

Every Day lunch buffet which is great. All Day buffet on Sunday. The food is always fresh tasting and full of flavor with a great selection. The mango lassi is a great accompaniment to the spicy food thats available. Customer service is always friendly and knowledgeable.

I always come here for lunch buffet once a week. The food is always usually fresh and kept warm. There arent so many options for dessert though. The Naan are usually cold since they dont bring it to the table after baked. That would be nice. Food is tasty and healthy.

It was very good! We were looking for an Indian buffet for dinner (most are only lunch), but Raj Mahal has a Sunday buffet. Ive had better, which is why I didnt give it 5 stars. I definitely left full and would return if my favorites arent open. Excellent service!

Food is as good as before. But the service get worse . I really hate the guy who serve bread. The previous one was so good. So friendly and nice. And this Indian guy today was very rude and cold. They seriously should consider to fire him .

Poor customer service. Once i called to order and asked them what are the options in student meals. The lady attended my call just replied "why dont you come down here and check, it is too much effort for me to explain everything".

Best Indian food in Rochester! We just went with a group of 18 for a birthday celebration. We did call ahead so they could be prepared for us but Im sure they could have accommodated us if we had just walked in.

Ive eaten at least 30 Indian restaurants and this is by far the best! The food was incredible and highly recommend the Sunday all day buffet. The staff was super nice and I just cannot wait to eat it again.

Tasty food, but unfortunately the service was quite slow on the evening we went out despite the restaurant being almost empty at the time. Would go again despite, but not if I was in a hurry to eat.

One of the very few and best Indian restaurants I have visited in US. We stopped here on our return from Niagara Falls. Great service, relaxed ambience and most importantly, the food was fantastic.

Adding my raves to Terrys, we were thrilled with our dinner of garlic naan, palak paneer, and paneer makhani -- all more delicious than any Indian cuisine weve tasted -- definitely going back!

Charged 20% gratuity on party of 5 (included 6 year old) on lunch buffet? Food is sub-par at best and there are other Indian resturants who have better service and way better food.

They dont accept THEIR coupon even though it is valid. This is the way they take the customer into their, but do not accept the coupon when you present. This is a lie and not fair.

The food was amazing. HUGE portions, and perfectly spiced to my preference. The waiter was attentive and I never had to wait for my drink to be refilled. Definitely coming back.

Disappointing selection for lunch. Several of the vegetarian dishes had mostly sauce. There are other very good Indian restaurants close by. All much better. Sorry

The buffet is fantastic. They serve dosa, which is a South Indian thats hard to find, and it is excellent. They also put mini dosa on the buffet. I LOVE this place.
