Dont get bogged down with all the unhealthy eating this Holiday Season, and eat something good for yourself at our season finale of our Effortlessly Healthy Holiday. Effortlessly Healthy is tucked between the intersections of South Ave. and East Henrietta, so you can easily miss it. This cozy take-out restaurant is run by owner/founder Shaina, who originally got her start from the famous Effortlessly Healthy food truck you see around the area. Shaina has also appeared in many TOP health magazines around the nation such as In Good Health. This is your idea place to eat because it focuses on eating the food you like with healthy ingredients. Unfortunately, Rochester lacks in the healthy eating department unlike most places you see in other metropolitan cities which is where Shaina picks up the slack. She incorporates the Paleo Diet into her food plans. All the top gym trainers I have had agree that this is the best diet to work-out with. The paleo diet is based on the types of foods presumed to have been eaten by early humans, consisting chiefly of meat, fish, vegetables, and fruit, and excluding dairy or grain products and processed food. Also remember, the key to maintaining this type of diet is to eat food that coincides with low sugar levels. Orange Glory Fitness was also in attendance pairing people up with Effortlessly Healthy Food, and extreme discounts to their gym memberships. This is where Effortlessly Healthys weekly meal plan comes into play. For a low price of $50.00 dollars a week, you can have 5 FULL meals delivered right to your doorstep. All there meals are customizable in there online catalogue, and will include 4 oz. of Protein and 8 oz. of sides. For $10.00 more a week, you can DOUBLE DOWN which will give you a whopping 8-10 oz. of protein along with an 8 oz. side. I was excited to have the opportunity to try out there healthy trash plates, since this is a fan favorite on their food truck. At their take-out restaurant, you can build you own trash plate catered to your needs. If trash plates arent you thing, there delicious healthy wraps can more than make up for it. THE HEALTHY TRASH PLATES: Chicken with Roasted Red Peppers and Meat Sauce: The chicken was seasoned to perfection, and was extremely juicy eating each bite. The roasted red peppers complimented their meat sauce well because the sauce already had beef, onions, and garlic in it. This was served over roasted sweet potatoes, and coleslaw topped with an Avocado sauce. This was the icing on the cake, as the avocado cream sauce was smooth/creamy which absorbed the cabbage nicely in the coleslaw. Portobello Mushrooms with Fresh Avocados and Roasted Red Peppers: The Portobello mushrooms where HUGE, and tasted fresh. Combined with fresh avocado, and roasted peppers gave you an ULTIMATE PROTEIN packed meal. Topped with the same ingredients as above, you couldnt tell if you were eating meat or not, which is the idea to healthy eating! THE HEALTHLY WRAPS: Mediterranean Chicken Wrap: These wraps went in 2 seconds, as it included roasted red peppers, artichokes, pesto, and feta cheese. The artichokes where a delight in this dish, and complimented the pesto inside. Chicken Walnut Wrap: This wrap was a little bit of a miss for me, as I wasnt a huge fan of walnuts in it. It was composed of chicken, walnuts, cranberries, and artichokes topped with a honey dressing. Now all the ingredients minus the walnuts tasted amazing. The walnuts just get stuck, giving you a bad texture within each bite. There honey dressing is to die for as the citrus soaks up the artichokes and cranberries within. BEVERAGES: compliments go out to Black Button Distillery for providing us there Poinsettia Cocktail. Initially, a lot of people in the room where afraid to drink this, but I am glad they overcame there fears. It had Black Buttons Wheat Vodka along with Cranberry Juice, Ginger Ale, and Champagne!! What a STELLER COMBINATION, as I never would of thought ginger ale would go good in any cocktail.

I tried their 5 meal per week service. I was trying vegetarian but was very flexible & forgiving in this area (which was needed with the food here). Some food was good. Some wasnt nearly as healthy as it should/could have been. Theres some lack of knowledge in this area here. If you really care about being a vegetarian & TRULY eating healthy, in my opinion, you wont be happy with at least some of the food. Vegans have ZERO chance here. Also, unfortunately, this is a very, VERY poorly run company. LOTS of mistakes. Over & over & over again, the same kind of errors kept repeating themselves. They delivered when they knew they werent supposed to and didnt deliver when they knew they were supposed to. From the beginning, delivery was scheduled for Thursdays & I was to pick up on Mondays. The days never changed. Still, they made MANY errors with this basic schedule, which they strongly suggest bc 1 delivery to my area per week is free. I showed up to pick up the food like they knew i was supposed to & it was out for delivery to a cooler w no ice because it wasnt supposed to be delivered that day...and I wasnt scheduled to be home for HOURS. This happened SEVERAL times! The last error was when they delivered a weeks worth of food AND DIDNT PLACE IT IN THE COOLER which was ALWAYS there, EXACTLY where they were told & SHOWN it would be. In general, the food wasnt terrible but not enough variety, especially if youre really trying to eat healthy. Jerk flavored food was TERRIBLE. YUCK. Owner & manager is clueless how to run a business & was also rude & insulting to me when I let her know that I wanted to stop service for a couple weeks & that there had been WAY too many mistakes. Im a very patient person. I tried this service for more than 2 months. There was zero effort to fix their basic business communication & coordination errors. I wanted to support a local & also female run company. Im a kind, patient, & professional person. I was always polite, despite the many frustrating, nonsensical & REPEATING errors that they made. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Tiny little shop with limited seating, and limited space to stand even in line, or to park. Many reviews here say the employees are unprofessional, and I would agree partially with them. Unfamiliar with what they have (blue cheese) when it is very clearly stated on the menu. Although I wasnt impressed with the service, the food was an excellent surprise. They were willing to make me an off menu item (cheeseburger wrap) and didnt hesitate to add whatever odball object i asked to be put in it. Although the staff werent the best, it seemed as if they were tired and over worked with the amount of premade meals they had been making. Kudos to the employee that made my food because it was stellar. Extremely interesting tastes that I doubt I could replicate. 4 stars for the lack of knowledge present behind the counter, but would be 5 if there was also more space inside to stand, or sit to eat.

I was employed at Effortlessly Healthy for a time, and enjoyed the food very much. However, the professional atmosphere left much to be desired. During my time there, some employees were often unprofessional, and the treatment of customers seemed to vary from very polite to blatantly rude. In both setting and conduct, the business felt unprofessional, more-so like a home business than a customer-centric business. I appreciate the time I spent employed there, but it quickly became apparent that it wasnt a good fit. Based solely on the food, Id give it 4 stars. However, experience with the management, I have dropped it down to 3 stars.
