If I could leave negative stars I would. My family and I go out to eat a lot so I can honestly say "The Fishermans Catch" should have been thrown back in the ocean. I will start off with the parking.... there is none. 7:00 on a Friday night. When we finally got there it was ok on the inside. The best part was the ocean view. That was it. There is nothing else good about this place. I went to the mens room to wash up before dinner and the paper towel dispenser was not working. Sat down to look at the menu, not a lot of choices. The waitress was nice however, other people that had been seated got bread right away. We had to ask for it after we had already given our order. " The food "...... The "Famous seafood bisque" Was THE WORSE Ive ever had. It was gritty and you couldnt tell if there was any seafood in it or not. My wife and mother in laws shrimp was very dry, overcooked. My flounder was not fresh. Tasted and looked like it was frozen. They charged my mother in law $3.00 for cup of Lipton tea! We were very disappointed and couldnt wait to leave. As we were walking out, we wanted run out because we had to go past the bathroom.... With the door closed it smelled SOOOO BAD! It smelled like maybe the toilet had backed up or someone was suffering from the poor food they had eaten there. Bottom line, I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. " Eat here at your own risk should be on the front door".

First time here, long time Point Lookout sub resident. My parents come here all the time. They arent happy. Poorly poured drinks (according to my Mother) when you are used a glass of wine poured at 3/4 of a glass to just under 1/2 you wouldnt be happy too. My parents arent cheapskates either. Dropping $200 plus on dinner for 4 isnt anything fancy. Personally speaking now, your wait staff was perfect. She seemed new but after the 2nd time of passing on dinner durring appetizers, she understood that my family loves to dine, not eat. Your prices seemed very high for the atmosphere. My fiance and I live on the gulf coast of Florida and have been to bigger, waterfront restaurants and have paid less. Understandable its a MUCH lower cost of living than the most corrupt state in the country. The food was terrific. Although $32 for a 1.25 lobster from 26 is not cool. However, I dont fish for a living so the comprehension is for me to guess and you to understand. Words of advice: bring back Friday happy hour. Dont over charge on lobsters Pour better drinks. Arent martinis made to be filled to the top from? All of my fathers Grey Gooses were at LEAST one Oz below that send Ive never drank or served one before. Thanks.

Dining at Fishermans Catch is always a wonderful experience. The restaurant is spotless, the help is anxious to please the customers, very congenial and respectful. Outside, thru the ample windows one can enjoy the untiring views and dine while experiencing the serenity of natures bays and wetlands while watching passing pleasure boats and commercial fishing boats and actually watching fresh fish being delivered to the docks of Fishermans Catch Restaurant. We have also enjoyed casual eating of fresh fish at The Fisherman Catchs clam bar right next door to the Fishermans Catch Restaurant. The clam bar also offers retail fish and shellfish sales for those who prefer cooking at home. The proprieters of Fisherman Catch Restaurant deserve much notoriety for their attention to cleanliness of the restaurant and freshness of the food for an unparalleled seafood dining experience. Fishermans Catch should be on top of your list of favorite restaurants. By the way their steak and land menu is also fabulous. Stephen and Daniela

The food was okay but buyer bewared when going to this restaurant. Particularly with a party of 5 or more. I went w/ 4 of my friends to celebrate a birthday and when the bill came they not only put an automatic 18% gratuity tip on the bill but they screwed us even more adding insult to injury by taxing the entire bill including the tip. Ive been going to restaurants even nicer then this that were also on the water and never have I been taxed on a tip. Much less have I ever been charged a gratuity when our party is only 5 people. We all felt as if we were taken. Im writing this review in the hopes others wont have to endure the same fate. Also as far as the rice is concerned they do NOT tell you that corn is in it. Im not allowed to have any corn, not even corn flakes and to just say it is "Seasoned rice" is NOT good enough. I couldve been physically made ill by this. Theyre very fortunate I wasnt . I did NOT eat the rice once I realized that it had corn in it. So buyer beware this is one restaurant we will NEVER step foot in again and I recommend if youre thinking of going here you simply rethink that!

My wife and I had dinner here for the first time last night. Food was good, service was annoyingly slow and prices were on the high side. My wife had the fried calamari for an appetizer which she said was very good, tender and flavorful. For her entree she had the, "Fishermans Catch" a small portion of mixed seafood over linguine with a white wine sauce; quite good but at $36 was overpriced. I went there planning to have steamers and a broiled lobster as viewed on their website menu. Apparently they dont offer steamers during the winter so I settled for clams on-the-half-shell; okay but lacking that super fresh briny taste. I ordered the smallest (2 1/2lb.) broiled lobster they offered. It was excellent, cooked perfectly and nicely dressed but at $60 ($24/lb.) priced like a high end steak house. I guess the servers have to wait in the kitchen because ours was rarely seen. We had significant waits to request additional drinks or other requirements with our dinner. They never did empty our overflowing shell dishes until we were finished. I doubt we will return.

My sister-in- law and I decided to spend our birthday. Not only we had to wait 45 minutes even though we made reservations, but after they sang our birthday song the valet guy came and asked us if we had the keys to our car. Why would we have the keys when we gave it to him?! Then he left, came back with another set of keys. At this point we were freaking out. My husband went outside and found the key on the street. It was ran over a few times! This is an expensive key to replace! We talked to the manager Barbara and she couldnt care less. Said it was owned by a different company and they feel no responsibility. We spent over 300 dollars at this restaurant and this valet represent your establishment. You need to feel more remorseful. If you want your car potentially stolen, then go here. They wont care if your car is damaged or stolen. There is absolutely no street parkingas well. Do not go here! Food here is not that great for the amount they charge. You can find better seafood and steak anywhere else in long island.
